Some of the controls should grow a little faster than they are. The best part of Compliance Manager is the ability to manage a POAM within the application. The fact that I can also openly allow my customers to contribute documentation and answer questions within the GRC actively makes information handoff more efficient and results in fewer meetings. Additionally, the integration into other tools such as VulnScanner or NetworkDetective also helps in excising pertinent data from tools that we already use or sell to our customers. **What do you dislike about Compliance Manager GRC?** The onboarding process and deployment of the GRC tools is cumbersome and the documentation is not very well done. The GRC should also include a spiderweb visualization for controls that gives an instant visual indicator to how well an organization is performing against controls. The GRC platform should also include more templates for required compliance documentation. A store of templated documents (and the ability to add our own custom one for all customers) should be added. **What problems is Compliance Manager GRC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Compliance management as a whole. We struggled with ensuring that customers were able to provide the correct information and update the information on their own terms without a cumbersome data exchange process. Even teaching out client how to review their tasks, the client picked it up. Particularlly NIST 800-171, we found server of control that do not match what is in the actual policy and produces from NIST. I have some issues with archiving reports to IT Glue consistently. I believe we have to pay for five devices on a three year commitment. **What problems is Compliance Manager GRC solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Compliance Manager GRC to do HIPPA or security compliance reviews for businesses that have a compliance need. For example, one client needs to document efforts taken to be CMMC compliant. Using Compliance Manager GRC, we were able to scan their environment, identify the areas that needed to be improved and document those improvements. We're helping our government contractor clients prepare for the changes to CMMC, and the product gives us a framework and some guidance on working through all the controls. One thing I really like about the product is how the controls for multiple different compliance frameworks are integrated, so if (for instance) you need both HIPPA and CMMC or PCI, you get to answer some of the questions once, and have the answers applied to each standard as appropriate. **What do you dislike about Compliance Manager GRC?** I'm not sure it's a dislike exactly, but I'd like to see some links embedded into the product that could take you to the official documentation about each control. We started out with Compliance manager when it was a different product, it was a place to get started when we didn't know what we needed to be doing. It helps with the basics, gives you a place to put things, and points you in the right direction. **What do you dislike about Compliance Manager GRC?** Compliance manager hasn't grown or changed much at all in the 4+ years we've used it. It's basically the same, and it wasn't much to begin with. Unfortunately the system lacks many features that modern compliancy tracking systems have these days. It's basically just a paperwork portal, which could be done by something that costs a lot less. It does not effectively check any work, it does not suggest improvement, and it makes you follow a sometimes incorrect chain of events to get where you're going. **What problems is Compliance Manager GRC solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is not currently solving any problems. It is also cumbersome to set up the scans and audits. There are better solutions in the industry that are a fraction of the cost and available on month-to-month terms versus the three-year commitment Kaseya demands for Compliance Manager. **What do you dislike about Compliance Manager GRC?** We were sold on Compliance Manager because we were told it would have all the policy templates needed to ensure our customers complied with the various compliance frameworks we were implementing with them. The reality is Compliance Manager is just a checklist of policies you should have and a way to store them once you create them yourself. There were very few useful templates, so you are on your own to create that content, which is the bulk of the work. We had to sign up for other services to access the needed policy templates. Kaseya owns Compliance Manager, meaning you get sucked in for a three-year term. We paid for three years of this service and never received any value from it. Kaseya offering us an Amazon gift card for our review is literally the most value we got from the solution! Don't give Kaseya more of your money. However, I don't personally hold that against Compliance Manager; ultimately, it is best for our patients. It can be difficult to onboard new employees and manually walk them through using the software.
