This is a set it and forget it piece of mind software. The updates happen on a regular basis and I don't have to worry about running a scan manually. If you are willing to dig under the hood this is a really good feature packed Anti Virus and Anti Malware software. The interface is really good but it still manages to hide a lot of options that a casual user might not see. When it comes to detection rates, this is really solid. It blocked a few softwares from auto installing on my PC that I didnt realise were malware till I googled around. Which is quite fantastic. They also include a Virtual sandbox and a custom browser if you really value your safety, which you should. The bundled in support services are fairly reasonable in price and for advanced users quite fine to skip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Comodo Antivirus? The only thing I disliked was that it tries to upsell you on services you might not need quite hard. And I would have liked to be able to strip away some components of it that install automatically. Just make sure you go through the install options slowly, it does try to reset your home page and search engine. " 4.5/5 What do you like best about Comodo Antivirus? I liked how hands off it was. You just install it and it takes care of the rest. Usually I have had to mess around with anti virus softwares to get it running just the way I want it. This was pretty much good to go with a few clicks. The UI is simple and easy to navigate. It also pretty resource efficient. I noticed no slowdown after installing it, even with resource heavy applications running (I do a lot of image editing). The updates are also frequent and good to have. Its also got a neat little anti spyware/malware built in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Comodo Antivirus? The automatic detection did flag some legit files. But I dont really blame that on the this. Every single Anti Virus I have used has had that problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Comodo Antivirus: The free version is really quite nifty and I would definitely recommend trying it out. Granted, it might not be suited for large environments with lots of users but for a SMB or even individual personal users, it is definitely recommended. Keep in mind that the free version comes in bundled with a few things you could classify as ads but those are fairly non intrusive and dont harm the overall experience. I like the fact that Comodo is so independently running that I never have to really authorize or deny access to certain things. I found a personal combination of Malwarebytes anti-malware, Superantispyware and avast free antivirus to be just as effective as Comodo if not more effective, without the pressure for buying the professional version. This software like the ones mentioned above will help deinfect your computer of Malware. However, real time protection is usually a paid feature. This is not Unique to Comodo.
