Ease of setting up 365 backups and pricing based on per user rather than the size of data, as OneDrive accounts can hold a lot of data. Constantly being updated and improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Commvault Cloud? I'm sorry to say that the renewal and support have let us down. Currently also using Metallic for our on-prem off-site backups and although the purchase order was submitted in time, our backups have been stopped because the account manager was on holiday and the renewal wasn't processed in time. Keeping all our Microsoft 365 data backed up and giving us that additional benefit of longer retention periods than the basic Microsoft ones. CommVault was a good platform with a lot of powerful tools like dedupe and archiving. Once setup things ran very well. Probably the best part was that it was a backup software and not particular about what storage medium you use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Commvault Cloud? In retrospect, we really needed a person dedicated just to the commvault product to stay on top of the backup and recovery process. With employee turnover, much has to be retrained and retaught to keep the system operational. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Commvault Cloud: Make sure you can dedicate plenty of internal resource to keep this system running. What problems is Commvault Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you? Deduplication of data and archiving of old stale data was super important in our decision to use CommVault. Navigation from page to page is good too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Commvault Cloud? The following errors were encountered: 1. The restore of a DB to ‘end of logs’ gave an error message and we had to run the ‘rollforward’ command manually to make it work: 2. The restore to ‘end of logs’ completes successfully, however, there is a message: Failed to unquiesce or activate the database 3. The subclient shows a storage policy of SP\_XYZ but when we go into the ‘Storage Device’ under properties section, it does not show us the policy name. The number of Data backup streams displayed is also not correct. 4. While trying to do a DB2 restore to end of logs the following message appears repeatedly, “Database in use”. The restore without the end of logs or point in time work fine. 5. Redirected restore to a database on the same host and same instance errors out with the following message after running for many hours: The archive log file is not associated with the current log sequence. We had to figure out the log file name, manually delete it and then run: "db2 rollforward db DBNAME to end of logs" and then it worked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Commvault Cloud: Make sure you test the product out with your specific requirements. The product has great potential, some things still need to be worked out in my opinion. I used this product a year ago and so most of the issues that I have described above must have been resolved.
