Senior Systems provides independent schools with PK-12 school solutions to manage integrated school data effectively and efficiently within a single database. ## Ascendance Reviews ### 1. Whole School Platform **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Wesley M. | Director of Admissioins, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022 **What do you like best about Ascendance?** Ascendance was able to provide us with a platform that is broad and able to serve our needs across campus from admissions to enrollment, student discipline, and a school store. **What do you dislike about Ascendance?** The platform is dated and in need of a significant update. Parent experience has produced some complaints about the difficulty and complexity of the system from a customer perspective. **Recommendations to others considering Ascendance:** Ascendance is a good platform in general, but you need to be sure to invest in good training from the start, and continued training with new team members as you bring them on board. Without good training, they will struggle to use, much less maximize, the system successfully. **What problems is Ascendance solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a one-stop-shop is very convenient. The database itself is very robust, and using the same system across campus is very convenient internally. It has been difficult to find a replacement option for Ascendance since it is one of the only truly complete packages for all aspects of school management. ### 2. It's easy to create criteria to grade students on, change grades, edit comments, create classes, and any other criteria I might consider while reviewing the product. **What do you dislike about Ascendance?** The interface is a little aged in appearance; I would say that it could be made more appealing. It's certainly not detrimental, but it is accessible by people outside of the school and might be improved for the sake of looking more polished. **Recommendations to others considering Ascendance:** I'm not sure what other options are available, but I have not personally experienced any issues with this product, and have not heard any complaints from colleagues. **What problems is Ascendance solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Ascendence for grading, scheduling, recording contacts for students and communicating with those contacts, and any other needs related to student records. The benefits of this are obvious; all information is organized and stored in one easy-to-access place for both faculty and other users. ### 3.
