## Collective Reviews
 ### 1. Poor customer service, poor product, bad experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The concept of the service is attractive. They also had a quick and easy process for incorporating my busines.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The onboarding / incorporation process was smooth, but pretty much everything after that became frustrating and slow. Responses to help requests or questions are advertised as having a 24 hour response period, but I have literally never gotten a response in under 48 hours. The average is closer to 4 days. Additionally, the accounting software they use (built in house) does not expose enough features to allow you to fix issues yourself. Instead, you have to submit a help request and wait 4 days to fix a mis-categorized transaction. I finally got fed up and decided to switch to another accounting firm. Turns out, there is no way to cancel your subscription yourself. You have to submit a help request and wait for someone to help you. I've been waiting almost a week now with no response and have been billed an extra month in that time. All in all, I would not recommend using their service at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

There are tons of accounting firms out there that will cost less, have faster response times, and will allow you to have more control over your books. I've now switched to quickbooks and have a small accounting shop keeping the books and I save 75% compared to Collective.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective helped me incorporate my LLC and handle my S-Corp Election. They have been managing my books for the business for the last 9 months and also helped me file my business and personal taxes

 ### 2. Outstanding customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara T. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Ease of use, customer service, saving time and money

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

It's expensive, but I've made it back in their knowledge of taxation

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can’t say enough good things about Collective’s accounting services for S-Corps, and especially about their incredible staff (specifically Gulnaz S.).

I recently had a nightmare situation with state unemployment taxes that would have eaten up hours of my time. Gulnaz not only stepped in with deep expertise but also went above and beyond to untangle the mess, communicate clearly, and get everything resolved quickly.

Thanks to her diligence and care, what felt overwhelming and stressful was handled with professionalism and ease.

I feel so much more confident knowing that Collective has people like Gulnaz on the team: knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping me succeed.

If you’re running an S-Corp and want peace of mind around your accounting, Collective is absolutely the way to go.

 ### 3. Accounting services are fine, product is barely better than a spreadsheet

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Basic transaction aggregation
Reimbursement calculator
Quarterly tax estimates

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Sloppy product development
Poor customer service
Incredibly expensive for the little value they add

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been using Collective for about 6 months now. Throughout the product has been severely lacking and customer service has barely existed. They pitch you their services based on s-corp tax savings but struggle to deliver on basic day-to-day services.

Onboarding consisted of a group webinar in which we were told none of the material nor a recording could be shared. Promises were made of full-service onboarding with an onboarding rep and onboarding accountant--onboarding turned out to be fully self-services in the platform and an accountant only engaged at the end of the process. I never heard from an onboarding rep.

The product itself is fine, except that new releases don't seem to be tested at all and certainly have no communication along with them. Features are removed without notice and updates are constantly buggy. The resolution to one such bug was to remove an entire subset of transactions from the transactions history (of course, without any communication or notice in the platform).

Customer service is is spotty at best. Tickets have been closed without resolution and some drag on for weeks with only a templated "we're still working on it" response every so often. I've had CS try to close tickets when the issue wasn't resolved.

 ### 4. Great for S Corp formation and monthly bookkeeping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serena F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I like that Collective gives its members dedicated relationship managers that become very familiar with our individual business. They also are certified accountants, which is so helpful.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

It can be difficult to get responses, especially during busy tax seasons. And everything goes through the hello@collective.com email, which makes it difficult to know who will be receiving your message and makes it very difficult to organize conversations.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

If you need a helpful and streamlined service to form your S corp and complete your monthly bookkeeping, Collective is great and very consistent!

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective helped me form my LLC, elect is as an S Corp, and helps me with my monthly bookkeeping. They also help with answering any questions to new small business owners.

 ### 5. Promising services at first, disappointing delivery over time

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cassandra L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Converting my sole prop solo-preneur business to an LLC with S Corp election was easeful. Going through the onboarding made an otherwise confusing process feel like a relief. I also appreciated the promise of helping solo-preneurs with tax preparation and bookkeeping, which tend to be the bane of our existence.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I've been a customer since April 2023 and the quality of service has declined steadily since. I used to get my financials by mid-month and over the past few months, it's slowly creeped to getting them the last 2/3 of the month. When I write in to ask why (because there is no proactive communication to reset customer expectations), I'm told someone was out and my deeper concerns are rarely addressed. It feels like I'm a box to be checked off, not a real human customer whose needs matter.

Timelines for responses from the team can vary from 3-7 days. I often feel like I have to chase answers. I get the sense the team is overloaded and it pisses me off that Collective will push for referrals to grow when I as a customer am not heard or made to feel like my business matters.

I wanted to like Collective so badly because the idea is great, but delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Not to mention the price increase to $350/month with service declining a lot compared to 2023.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Be prepared to be supported upfront during setup and initial adjustment period and dropped over time as they focus on newer customers. As a customer of almost 2 years, I feel like I'm treated worst than earlier on.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective helped me convert my sole prop solo-preneur business to an LLC with S Corp election with ease and set me up with bookkeeping and business tax preparation services.

 ### 6. Always on top of things!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

How well-organized their systems (website, dashboard, integrations, staff) and communications are.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Tax filings are the biggest obstacle; last year there were technical issues/roadbumps and extensions had to be filed for both business and personal, which was disappointing. Then this year they farmed out the personal taxes (I'm assuming they just don't have enough tax pros on Collective's staff to handle it?). Although I give them credit for integrating the outside vendor into the Collective platform/dashboard in a way that doesn't feel nearly as awkward.

I also wish there greater ability to help local tax issues. For example, they told I really need to have someone else handle my PTE tax paperwork, which feel cumbersome and less than ideal. My local CPA told me it's actually very straightforward, yet I still have to hire him. And getting anything not all with one person from a tax perspective makes me nervous. Yet it would cost SO much more money for me to go back to my former CPA to do all my tax prep because S-Corps make the fees skyrocket. We'll see how this next year or two goes! But I gotta say I don't like the feeling that they're WANTING me to farm out my taxes (understandable since I pay the same price either way, but still an icky feeling).

These are the reasons I couldn't give them an even higher star rating, but truly I've otherwise been very happy.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been very impressed with and grateful for Collective overall. They've kept me so much more organized -- particularly as I started filing as an S-Corp and things got more complicated! It gives me such enormous peace of mind knowing I have a bookkeeper always keeping everything in order. Night and day difference between how I felt before I found them!

 ### 7. Collective has allowed me to view and operate my business as a business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andre B. | Slam Poet and Keynote Speaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The team is really responsive and it has now become less of a tool and more of a community of likeminded solo-prenuers who are both sharing their expertise and learning from each other.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I wish it were easier to know who my main contact is. There is a main alias that all submissions are submitted through and the people who answer my questions tend to vary. There's also so much information that Collective offers S-Corps which is fantastic, but it also makes me feel that there is potentially a lot I'm not doing correctly and I wish it were easier for information to be disseminated, especially for newer S-Corps.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

It's a very robust service, but it is not cheap. Be sure to do the math on the taxes your business is paying as a sole proprietor to make sure that it makes financial sense.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective helped me both understand the benefits of a S-Corp and helped me to establish my business as one. They also help me to manage and understand the legal requirements for maintaining a healthy S-Corp.

 ### 8. Collective is a great solution for LLC/S Corps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy Z. | Semi Retired, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I like the fact that Collective not only has experts in every field of Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tax and Payroll, they also have Member Relationship Managers who are dedicated to your account. Most of the time, these Member Relationship Managers are not just general, jack of all trades folks, but are also CPAs or ex-IRS or both, so they are able to answer most of your questions without having to pass the ball on. Time is saved and decisions can be made more quickly as a result.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Some of the things that need improvement:
1. They need a phone app. It is a major inconvenience to not be able to check something on my iphone.
2. Answers to questions can take up to 5 days, they need a chat interface that would allow people to post questions, like a users forum. Might be faster. Email Q&A can be slow, Modern technology is way ahead of email only as a way of communication.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Just do it! I believe, that if you signed up for Quickbooks or Xero (bookkeeping. Gusto (payroll), and used a tax preparer for your business, plus engaged a CPA, it would cost you more than going with Collective's 'all in' approach. I initially wanted to do everything myself (I have a financial MBA), but it's great to have Collective in the background, making sure everything gets done correctly and on-time. I researched at least 10 other companies for LLC/S Corp formation including LegalZoom, ZenBusiness, Incfile, Better Legal, Formations, and Collective was the best for entity setup too. Only charged me $100 which was the State filing fee, and I got some $500 off special that they offer semi-regularly. So Just do it, you won't regret it.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting, Tax, Payroll, and Bookkeeping can take up a lot of your time, especially if you are a one-member LLC or S Corp. My time is saved by Collective, and their CPA member relationship managers answer all my questions and keep everything running smoothly all the time. As there is legal advice on the tax side, it is possible to determine which tax strategies are viable for the S Corp and which are too risky. Thanks to Collective, I am able to spend more time doing the actual work in addition to handling other tasks that Collective doesn't handle.

 ### 9. Great for S-corp formation, bookkeeping, and taxes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael N. | Buy & Hold Rental Investor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I do like how responsive they are when I do have questions. Customer service is make or break for me, so they exceed in that. The monthly bookkeeping is helpful for them to understand my business. On top of that, they do my s-corp & personal taxes, which is huge value for my business.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Their fees have increased over time, which makes sense, but it has been a huge ongoing expense in my business that exceeds my health insurance. I don't like how they phased out QuickBooks and limited me to their proprietary bookkeeping software. The way they display charts, and reports wasn't as easy to read and comprehensive as QBO. I also wish they did some form of tailored business advice in order to grow my business, based on my reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

If you make high enough income with your business, it makes total sense to hire Collective to form the s-corp and have them take care of books/taxes.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't really have time or patience for regular bookkeeping in my business. Also, I know the basics of taxes but I would rather leave it to the outside experts to solve those issues for me. It's also nice to know that I can rely on someone in case I have questions throughout the year.

 ### 10. Updated Review: Average booking keeping and tax issues

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy M. | Agency Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I have used them for over 3 years. However, I've run into tax filing issues the past 2 years as they decided to outsource this. Not only did they drop the ball this year, but they also waited until the last week before the filing deadline to say they're unable to help. On top of that, accounting messed up with the quarterly tax estimate and I was penalized over $3,000 due to it.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Quit removing services that worked, such as QuickBooks, to earn a bigger profit.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only issue I've had was the transition into the new LLC, but this was due to my misunderstanding.

 ### 11. Best accounting solution for soloprenuers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alisha T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

They specifically focus on soloprenuers and S-Corps, so they understand my company and situation.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The customer services was a bit rocky getting started, but I also started right at the beginning of the year when everyone is starting the get taxes ready.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Don't try to start with them right at the beginning of tax season. Start several months before, or right after. Other than this, they do an extremely great job to guide you along the way based on where your business is currently at. they let you know what docs, statements, etc. are needed, so just be prepared to find and upload a lot of information in the onboarding process.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, salary estimates

 ### 12. Total peace of mind for my Taxes & Accounting tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia B. | SEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I love that I get quick responses to my question, they seem to be constantly focused on improving, and I have complete peace of mind knowing that they are capably taking account and finance tasks off my hands as a busy small business owner. I also love their Community feature as it has already generated several leads for my business.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I do wish personal tax filing was included in the total cost.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

I definitely advise you to consider Collective as your all in one bookkeeping and tax filing solution. Their advisors and relationship managers are friendly and professional!

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective took care of my S-Corp election and now manages my quarterly taxes, bookkeeping, and personal taxes.

 ### 13. Done for you bookkeeping & taxes

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Nothing. I have stopped my subscription.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The company has serious growing pains. Their concept is good. Execution of the services is very spotty.

My 2024 taxes took until October 2024 to get filed. They dropped the ball many times. There was not a recovery from this failure. They made mistakes with my state taxes and did not want to own up to it. I never had an issue with taxes before I worked with them.

The services which they offer can be found at a lower cost, greater level of touch / responsiveness, and on your time horizon.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

1. Determine what you need.
2. Compare local services vs Collective for that need.
3.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective solves the problem of monthly bookkeeping and taxes (quarterly and yearly).

 ### 14. Frequent mistakes

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

They were great at quickly converting my single member llc to an s corp, setting up my payroll with Gusto and books on Xero (though I hate Xero). They also have a great reimbursement tool for monthly deductible expenses.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Despite feedback given to Collective over nearly 3 years, I've experienced repeated mistakes in my bookkeeping, and in taxes they filed for me which they then had to amend. They charged me for another year after I gave them nearly 3 months notice and have not provided me with a full refund. Any questions take a lifetime to be answered and there is no strategic advisory provided, and why do literally over 100 people have access to my xero account??? Google reviews for collective.com and you'll find many unhappy folks like me.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

It was worth working with them to convert my llc to an s corp, but not worth it after that. Truly go to H&R block or a small local accounting firm instead.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving $ on taxes

 ### 15. Great resource for small business owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Their availability and hands-on support. I love that I can easily book a call with someone whenever I have a question, and they also host live FAQ events. The platform itself is user-friendly. Overall they really hold your hand through everything, which is what I was looking for.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I’m still in the early stages of working with them and haven’t gone through a tax season yet, so I can’t speak to that experience. But so far, no major complaints.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has been incredibly helpful in sorting out mistakes and oversights from my previous CPA and guiding me through the process of transferring my S-Corp from a different state. Their support has made what felt like an overwhelming and complicated situation much more manageable.

 ### 16. Friendly, responsive, straightforward

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandra P. | Life Coach | Speaker | Entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

They are friendly, responsive, and help me understand things in a straightforward way.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Nothing so far. I’ve been very pleased with my experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Definitely worth checking them out to see if they’re a good fit for your business!

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective helped me quickly and easily switch from an LLC to an S Corp and took over my bookkeeping and accounting. I’m thrilled to have everything in one place, rather than a separate bookkeeper and accountant, and to have expert guidance in all things S Corp related.

 ### 17. Collective has taken the burden of business finances off my shoulders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob M. | Front-End Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

They are always available when I have questions and I can trust them to handle the all the accounting tasks so I can focus on my work.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Sometimes getting a response for more complex questions can take some time.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective handles all the day to day accounting for my business as well as managing many of the legal registrations, tax calculations, payroll, etc that make managing a business so challenging.

 ### 18. Best way to upgrade your LLC to S-Corp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin G. | Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Super easy to manage tax season! Their team makes everything so easy to file jointly or separate — and with business taxes.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Sometimes, the threads in emails can get bounced around to different people or teams. It’s a little bothersome.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best solution for back office, payroll, and bookkeeping. Everything under one umbrella and simplified communication structure.

 ### 19. You are not alone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mindy R. | Employee Benefits Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Not feeling alone when I have questions that specifically pertain to my business

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

There is still a lot of work I must do to audit the books and maintain the accounting. Additionally, I feel the onboarding did not set me up for the deadlines of that work.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

The collective is a great way to have a resource for tax questions, advantageous tax structure, and accounting assistance. It was well worth it for me as one who was never on top of my books. Don't expect to be hands off. You will still need to stay on top of some categorization of items, submitting mileage reports and personal expenses and reviewing transactions monthly. But having a team available for advice and 85% of the work is extremely helpful.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a team of bookkeeping, accounting and tax advisors gives me resources to save money and accountability to stay on top of things. Getting the advice/assistance on business structure was a significant help.

 ### 20. Great Collaborative Accounting for the Busy Multi-Discplinary Millenial

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian R. | Design Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The quick response times, a team of people helping with my questions and needs, the knowledge and experience, the guides, and the easy-to-use online payroll and reimbursements portal.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The only small thing is that their partnership with Mercury Bank Account is limited, as that bank does not have ATMs or use Zelle. But this is not Collective's fault and maybe in the future they can partner with a bigger bank like Wells Fargo or Chase or Bank of America.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

I would definitely give it a shot - especially if you're thinking about freelancing and setting up an S-Corp. They are very honest and upfront about whether it works for you, and will help do it all.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Collective precisely tackles all of the problems and challenges associated with typical accounting for the busy multi-discplinary millenial entrepreneur, and packages it into a cohesive, fast, easy-to-use, modern, and aesthetically pleasing platform that works for the modern era. This is a trending moment for multi hyphenite business owners, who rely on internet accounting so much more than in 5 years ago. From the moment I hit purchase, I was immediately assigned an advocate, who helped me form the LLC and handled all my S-Corp filings without me lifting a finger. Within a month I already had my quarterly taxes done by my assigned accountant, and spoke to a well-versed team of experts on questions I had about my business and some challenges from my previous S-Corp. They knew how to handle even the toughest circumstances to get my business together. I strongly recommend Collective to anyone who's too busy or too lost with tax stuff, allowing business owners to spend their time on their work instead of accounting.

 ### 21. Tightly guided process and training for the new entrepreneur

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The smooth step by step onboarding was so easy. They set up my LLC and the S-Corp election for me and have ushered me along to being ready for my business to take off. Seems like a bargain. I don't know how they are making money.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Needs a mobile app. It's 2024. We are a mobile-first society.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

If you want to buy back a lot fo your time for not very much money, or you're afraid of the accounting side of running your own business, Collective is for you.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leaving the safety of a steady job and salary for the freedom of entrepreneurship is both exciting and harrowing. I need to spend my thinking time on the business, not the bookkeeping and payroll. I was referred to Collective by a friend when I told him I was going out on my own. He said "Oh God you've got to get Collective". He was right. Their onboarding has been top notch, and you get to talk to real people with experience.

 ### 22. S-Corp made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry B. | Director of Partnerships, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

All of their "account managers" are actual accountants, so even if your dedicated person is out of the office, you have someone able to help answer time-sensitive questions

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Nothing comes to mind, I suppose the software could look a little sexier but it does what it needs to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Collective is a truly all-in-one solution to setting up an S-Corp, incorporating Gusto for payroll, their own proprietary system for bookkeeping, and an account management/customer success team that is one of the best I've worked with. Time will tell when I file my taxes in the spring, but I believe the monthly cost more than pays for itself in the tax savings I should enjoy by filing as an S-Corp over a basic LLC, and I would not have had the confidence to do this without a service like Collective in place.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective made the process of establishing an S-Corp very simple, and the ongoing level of support from their team allows me to focus on running my business without worrying about my tax exposure.

 ### 23. Helpful, worth the money

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phoebe K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Their expertise! It's so helpful to have acountants on my side. Also access to payroll through Gusto.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

It costs money, but it's well worth it! So not really something I dislike, since I'm saving way more than I'm making.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has helped me take my 5-figure side hustle into a 6-figure business. They have been extremely communicative and helpful as I've turned myself into a business owner, and I really love that they always respond to me within 24 hours, no matter how assinine my question! The tax savings are the cherry on top.

 ### 24. Saving my small business time and money

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa H. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Customer service is top-notch. The services they provide reduce the time and energy I spend on doing things I'd rather not do, like tax filings. Their reps have a wealth of knowledge and all of my questions have been answered quickly and efficiently. It doesn't matter what questions or issues I give them, they always come in clutch. I was able to replace my bookkeeper, CPA, and a subscription to QuickBooks with Collective.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The initial investment was high for me, but overall I'm saving time and money by combining everything into Collective's services. Can't think of anything I dislike. I've told several other friends about Collective as well. Referrals are a big deal to me. When I find something I like, I tell everyone!

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Just do it! It's an amazing service and you'll learn so much about how to efficiently run your business. I'm so happy I became a customer. It answered prayers I didn't even know I had.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business owner with limited time and financial know-how, I depend on Collective to help with my bookkeeping and tax filings. They make everything so easy!

 ### 25. Collective is my autopilot for S-Corp functions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I can ask them almost anything around accounting and my S-corp and they will either provide some recommendations or some resources to find the information I need.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

There are limitations to the feedback and suggestions they will give - which are all justified. E.G. Collective will not give financial advice as to what is best for you to do in certain situations - they only provide resources that explain the components of what I ask, and then I have to make my own decisions. That's okay - as the areas that are within their scope they execute very well.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

If you're a self-employe or small LLC looking to realize the benefits of filing as an S-Corp, Collective is the best bet for you.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective manages my LLC S-corp reimbursements, payroll(through a partnership), taxes, and keeping me in check with any accounting or tax questions as it relates to my LLC. I knew that being an independent contractor I needed an LLC, and when I dove into the world of having a self-employed LLC filing as an S-Corp it was overwhelming. Collective takes the guesswork out of managing my organization and that's well worth the money spent on their services.

 ### 26. The best accounting team for solopreneurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasz J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

It is reasonable and cost-effective. The team knows my business (a solopreneur S-corp online business) very well and is familiar with the normal expenses, client payments, etc that come with my line of work. They also handle everything for me -- it is truly a one-stop shop for business financial needs.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I cannot think of anything I truly dislike. I would say the biggest adjustment for me was that they solely communicate via email. Unless you specifically ask, you do not get a regular 1:1 meeting with your account manager there. They also have a huge team so it can sometimes get a bit confusing because you have multiple points of contact. However, everything is centralized through one email address so the client (i.e. me) does not need to know who does what.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

I would definitely recommend signing up. I am in my second year working with them and have had nothing but amazing experiences.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective handles all of my tax, accounting, and bookkeeping needs. I love that everything is in one place and they charge a reasonable monthly fee. I do not get a huge additional bill during tax season. I also have contact with their team year-round so working with them during tax season is seamless. They have access to all of my accounts, keep me updated with anything they need from me, and handle all of the headaches for me.

 ### 27. Excellent first experience with my own LLC

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie M. | Senior Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Questions answered, explained & followed up. Great value of services vs price!

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The bookkeeping training was too short; I needed retraining.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

If you hesitate to create an LLC because the bookkeeping/payroll/taxes intimidate you, this is the best solution. They walk you through setting all that up and unlimited support for any questions or concerns. Gives you confidence that the infrastructure of your LLC is set up & willl run smoothly. You cannot be totally hands off - always worth checking over & following up on anything that looks strange or doesn't make sense.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New to having my own LLC, Collective is solidly backing up every question, concern and running the background financial infrastructure. Having professionals dedicated to walking you through all aspects of running a solo LLC is invaluable. Collective is very responsive, has a ton of information and made taking the leap of faith much easier. My payroll & benefits run seamlessly and Collective takes the time to explain and walk through any questions. Collective encourages it! It's great to know Collective has my back. I trust Collective & their support, however their output is only as good as the input given - I'm still learning and getting the correct information to them is super important.

 ### 28. A bigger & brighter future with Collective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rhiannon N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Very simple and visual interfaces. Email reminders for tasks so I don't have to worry about forgetting a step or responsibility. Quick reply to help requests, general questions, or complaints. Calm and patient staff. Flat rate monthly fee. Flexibility was given so that I could generate my invoices and quotes through collective. They only ask for what is absolutly neccessary and you aren't overloaded with tons of new things to learn.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I live in the state of Oregon and the laws and taxes are unique to many other structures. Having a contact that specializes in Oregon tax law and regulations would be the only thing I can think of to ask for.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Start towards the end or the very beginning of the tax year. The less baggage you are carrying, the easier it will be to get on board and run organized.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I started my humble endeavor as a self employed cleaner after the pandemic restrictions lifted. I knew I needed to make more money as a single parent but I knew nothing about business. Locally, many CPAs are busy and not accepting new clients. Luckily, I stumbled across Collective searching the internet and scheduled a consultation. Collective held my hand through 2022 taxes and got me off of my rickety spread sheets into actual accounting software. I wasn't compliant and that was resolved with the easy to use Dashboard on Collective website. One year later I have increased my productivity considerably and I am no longer scared of being out of compliance with State and Federal requirements. I smile everytime I generate a financial report because I feel legit and more confident about my business and how well I am doing. The monthly fee seems like a neccessary cost when I think of what my books looked like before I joined Collective. Currently the tax laws change like the weather and I would not want to navigate that without the help of Collective.

 ### 29. Collective IS the answer for Entrepreneurs needing bookkeeping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virginia A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The most helpful component of Collective has been Client Success Manager, Brian, and the rest of the team that are very responsive. Their platform is also very organized so they always let me know what is the next step I need to take and they have great videos to supplement my learning about understanding my books and reading tax forms. It has been fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Honestly, I haven't had any issues. At first, I thought the document collection and organization was alittle clunky but I provided feedback and their dashboard continues to make improvements. I guess there is no app but I prefer doing my finances on a desktop at a dedicated concentrated time.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

I don't have to worry about doing P&L's or reconciling my general ledger myself. I love that Collective handles all of that. If you have been struggling how to formalize your business structure - Collective does it all for you. They fill out all the paperwork necessary and having someone look out for my tax organization has also been amazing. I always ended up owing tons of taxes and I feel like I finally have it under control beause of their reminders and organization.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective is solving the problem of bookkeeping, tax preparation and entity formation for all entrepreneurs. After being in business for 7 years and using all my personal information, Collective helped me upgrade and formalize my business and get my taxes in order.

 ### 30. I feel so supported on my business owner journey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I love having a whole team of people who can help me with my bookkeeping and taxes. If I have a question they quickly answer it. I also like Gusto and Xero, the tools they use.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The UX on the dashboard could use some improvements - but it is ok for now.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Collective is an investment - but as a small business owner the time that we save with the bookkeeping help, tax support, and (hopefully) tax savings that they can find makes it worth it. I feel so much more secure in the way my business is set up and run now being a Collective member than I did when I was just trying to figure everything out myself.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Solopreneur, there are SO MANY THINGS that fall onto my plate. From the actual work I have to do, to all the administrative and bookkeeping tasks. TBH, I was falling behind on all the things that you need to do to keep a business in good standing, and it made tax time VERY stressful.

Enter Collective.

Initially, I wondered if Collective would be worth the investment. But when I added up how much I was already paying for my accountant, payroll, registered agent, QuickBooks, etc - the Collective investment netted out. PLUS (and most importantly) I got a whole team of people on the back end helping me keep track of everything. I have found it so valuable to have Collective help me with my bookkeeping and taxes. The fact that they help categorize all my business expenses saves so much time and makes taxes so much easier.

But the true value of Collective came when I got a scary-ish email from the IRS regarding a mistake my previous accountant had made with my SCorp filing. Under normal circumstances, I would've freaked out, spent hours googling trying to figure out what the confusing letter meant, and probably had to pay my old accountant to help me fix it. Instead, I sent one email to my excellent Collective rep, and she quickly helped me understand what the letter was, gave me sample language to use in my response, and kept checking up on me to make sure that the issue got resolved. That support was priceless to me.

I definitely recommend Collective to any small business owners who want to take the bookkeeping and accounting off their plates, while also knowing they have a supportive team behind them.

 ### 31. Great Accounting Firm for Small Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rian D. | Data Science Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The dashboard is nice, but the customer service is probably the best feature.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Nothing really! I know of cheaper accountants, but I'm not switching.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has been fantastic with helping me setup my S Corp, and with keeping things running smoothly from a tax and accounting perspective. I knew absolutely nothing about S-Corps before working with Collective, except that I was probably giving away quite a bit of money by not having one for my business. Initially, Collective helped me with all of the filing necessary to get setup with the IRS, and made that super smooth. Then, they have been handling all of my book-keeping now. I just submit monthly bank statements and other info and they generate all of my needed business docs like profit and loss and so on. They are also taking care of my personal and business tax filings, which is great!

 ### 32. Beyond Expectations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Their responsiveness, knowledge of process, and familiarity with federal and state regulations.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I'm completely satisfied, but like any small business owner, I'd love to see the monthly fee come down.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has helped me turn my sole-proprietorship business into an LLC S-Corp - a process I would still be tangled up in without their help. Thai whole process has been easier than I imagined and well worth the fees I've paid for the services. Since establishing my LLC they have answered every single question within 8hrs max, have clarified every misunderstanding I've had along the way, and very quickly resolved any developments that would have otherwise confounded me.
I am thankful for the team's speed, agility, and abilities to communicate. I now have a whole team in my corner to back me up in running my business, allowing me to focus on day to day operations and growth!

 ### 33. Collective is Amazing!

Nothing. I would recommend Collective to any solo entrepreneur looking to manage the back end of their business with zero headaches.

If you need help with your LLC, taking the S Corp election, setting up payroll, filing your business or personal taxes, paying quarterly estimated taxes, have questions on what you need to do to stay compliant, what to track, etc., Collective does it all. The peace of mind it brings allows me to focus on my clients and build my business. Look no further. This is it.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective is the real deal. I feel like I am always in good hands (I have been with Collective for over two years now). Managing bookkeeping and taxes as a solo entrepreneur is a daunting task, but the team at Collective supports me and is quick to respond when I have a question. They consistently stay ahead of tax, LLC, and regulatory changes to ensure my business is compliant. This is the first time I have had a service like this, and I am so glad I chose Collective. I couldn't have imagined a better experience.

 ### 34. The first step for new solopreneurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The team is easy to access and covers a number of important and potentially stressful business needs without me needing to worry. I always know I'll receive a reminder or support when I need to complete something, and Collective takes care of the rest.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Collective is not necessarily for every type of business - for example, if you don't want to be taxed as an S-Corp - but if your business is the right fit, there are no negatives.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I started my business, I knew I needed an accounting and bookkeeping solution I could trust. Without one, I wouldn't likely keep the business for very long. I was so pleased to learn about Collective and I've been thrilled with their support ever since. Collective gives me peace of mind with monthly accounting, quarterly and annual tax filing, payroll, and a number of other needs.

 ### 35. From Hyke to Collective - Stronger than ever.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I love knowing exactly what to pay and when, having a support team for any tax issues that come my way, and knowing that I am saving as much as possible with their experienced tax team at my fingertips.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Sometimes, things don't move as quickly as I want them to. However, it is to be expected since I am 1 of many paying customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Just do it. If you are a hot mess like me when it comes to paying your taxes on time and maximizing your deductions, you will thank yourself.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was the absolute worst when it came to calculating and paying my quarterly taxes. For years, I just waited until the end of the year to get hit with a massive bill. After getting tired of that, I tried randomly guessing my quarterly numbers and just sent those guess amounts in. Plus I already knew I wasn't getting all of my writeoffs and deductions that were possible. I was literally burning money until I discovered Hyke, which is now Collective.

 ### 36. Amazing Bookkeeping Company for Entrepreneurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chase M. | Line Producer

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

That I work with the same people and they are responsive to all questions regarding my business that I ask.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

If there was a way to fully automate my statements for reconciliation.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time is a huge issue for me as an entrepreneur and Collective has saved me countless hours. They managed my books for about 3 years. They have been responsive and detailed in helping reconcile my books and other bookkeeping duties that I do not have time to do. They also do my taxes that I am very happy about. Also, they are knowledgeable and responsive with any questions I have regarding my business and taxes. They give me updates on what is required by state and federal agencies. Overall, they give me peace of mind knowing I have them as a resource when I need them.

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The dedicated staff assigned to me, it makes the monthly paperwork easier and quicker.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

A quicker way or a dedicated staff to refer people to collective too, as Collective is growing and people ask about my business and how I utilize services, I talk about Collective and their great services to my business. I want to be able to hand off the potential client to someone at collective that I know well, much like I know my personally assigned team at collective.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Don't wait on doing yourself a favor, focus on your business and let Collective help you run your business.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective does all of my bookkeeping and taxes, and honestly, I would be so lost without them. Collective allows me to handle what I do best... which is be an amazing Public Relations agent for my clients, and collective does what they do best... my bookkeeping!

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Integrating collective systems with my payroll system and bank accounts simplifies the process of tracking my expenses.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I'm not particularly fond of the helpdesk email; I'd rather have a single point of contact for my queries, but that's just my personal preference.

Collective is an excellent partner to have; they free up a significant amount of time and resources for me, allowing me to concentrate on the heart of my business and deliver value to my clients.

I deeply appreciate Collective's responsiveness when it comes to communication. All my emails have been answered within 24 hours, and the team truly strives to make sure my questions are taken care of.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The up-front cost can be daunting, especially if you're just starting out. It was definitely worth it for me though: having spent countless hours googling tax and legal questions to varying degrees of success, the peace of mind I get from working with Collective is priceless.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Collective hosts webinars on self-employment taxes from time to time. If you're on the fence, hop on to their instagram and sit in on their "Tax Tuesday" stream. You'll get a better sense of how they operate and whether you're a good fit. If you are, feel free to use my code MEOW to receive your first month free :)

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has been a huge help in navigating the complexities of running an S-corp. As a first-time solo entreprenuer, knowing I have the support and guidance of an expert team of professionals has made the journey much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.

Collective keeps the worry of keeping track of everyday spending and business expenses off of the business owner, allowing them to do what they do best!

 ### 42. Collective is the Dream Team In Your Pocket

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany Joy C. | Founder & Chief Community Officer, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Personalized service, great account management, friendly team members, quick response time.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

It is expensive. However, all things considered, having Collective manage the backend allows time for business owners to focus on what they enjoy doing and are best at in their business.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we enter 2024, I am beyond proud to start the new year with a NEW to-do list than years prior. I no longer have a long to-do list with a dream of launching the business that's been on my heart for years... I DID IT.

How?

Collective.

As a new business owner, I had stress about ensuring I did things in the right order, with all the right forms, and had the right processes in place. Collective held my hand through ALL OF IT, giving me reassurance along the way.

From launching my business and all the details therein, to doing my first round of business taxes, I feel beyond grateful for their support. It would not have been possible without them.

I've shared about Collective with many friends and family when they inquire about how I figured it all out, and then I tell them about the DREAM TEAM in my pocket.

As someone who doesn't enjoy the backend spreadsheets, forms and accounting, I count my lucky stars that the professionals at Collective hold me accountable each month to stay on top of submitting my business bank statement, etc. As we close out the year, it doesn't feel daunting to look back because it's the BEST feeling already having all my financials and reporting in order.

If you're on the fence about using their services, jump in and thank yourself for signing up later (especially during tax season, ha!)

 ### 43. Collective allows me to breathe easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan R. | Co Host of 'Queens of the Court' Podcast, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Collective?**

The customer support is unmatched. I had my first call with Collective a year too soon - I wasn't financially ready to commit because I wasn't making enough income. I felt no pressure and was still given a step-by-step plan on the benefits of what their company provides and why it's helpful for freelancers to have. That stuck with me for my first year of freelancing (and after my first tax season solo!) I truly feel like the staff here wants my business to succeed.

For any questions I have about my business, I feel confident that they're only an email away.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

The part of my membership I interact with the least is Xero. I have been using Quickbooks for my invoices for the past few years and their system suits my business more. I don't think it's a knock against Collective, but I personally don't find Xero to be too user-friendly so I don't use it.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

The peace of mind is worth the money, and the customer service is unmatched.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a freelancer sports writer, host, and podcaster, Collective does all the nitty-gritty bookkeeping for me so I can focus on my craft. I didn't fully realize how much of the business side of freelancing I was naive to when I became self-employed. I felt very unorganized when it came to taxes and monthly bookkeeping. Collective solves the problem with its neat dashboard, monthly bookkeeping reminders, and blog that details tips on running a successful S-Corp LLC.

 ### 44. Dedicated Financial Experts for a Fraction of the Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariah A.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Collective?**

I really appreciate how easy it is to get support any time I have a question. It puts my mind at ease knowing I always have a resource for the parts of my business that feel completely overwhelming to me. I also love how easy it is to pay quarterly tax estimates now. Knowing that I won't be hit with an unforseen tax bill at the end of the year like I have been in years past makes going into tax season so much easier!

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Sometimes the S-Corp structure can still be a bit confusing to understand. I am slowly learning more and more about it, but wrapping my head around this business structure hasn't come easily to me.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective is giving me the advantages of having dedicated bookkeeping, accounting, and tax filing services without the cost of hiring a dedicated CPA all year. I'm able to get questions answered by financial experts any time
I need and becoming an S-Corp is something I would have never been able to do on my own.

 ### 45. Collective feels like a trusted partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Every member of the team, from on-boarding to my accounting professionals, has been knowledgeable and professional. I'm very happy that I chose to work with them!

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

I honestly have no complaints about my experience with Collective so far.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Collective. They've been like a trusted partner that helped make the confusing, complicate process of forming a company into a breeze. They made the timeline easy to understand and made expectations clear every step of the way. I appreciated how they broke the process into manageable, bite-sized chunks. I never felt overwhelmed. Instead I just had a thing or two to accomplish each day during on-boarding.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped me deal with all the complexity involved with starting a company. They focused on company formation details, legal and tax obligations, and othe related tasks. This let me focus more on actually building my business and working with clients, and I had to spend less time dealing with back-office processes and company formation tasks.

 ### 46. Great customer service and product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Capital Markets | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Biggest differentiator is the white-glove customer service. Does not feel like a normal subscription platform and their teams are very attentive and work to resolve questions very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

They are still building out their software tools and integrations, but product velocity seems to be good.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective acts as my finance platform, keeping track of bookkeeping, reimbursements, tax forecasts, etc. It's great money for value and saves me time.

 ### 47. Solopreneur financial overwhelm??? Gone.

**What do you like best about Collective?**

Their specialized knowledge and amazing customer service.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

Just that they can't help me with other taxes, but I get that.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had an s-corp prior to the one I started with Collective, but the whole time I was running it incorrectly and taxes would take me foreverrrrr and I'm pretty sure at the end of the day I wasn't maximizing my benefits... With Collective I know I have an extremely helpful team of experts by my side for any questions and they lead the way with so many things from monthly reimbursments, insurance, payroll, taxes, and more. It's honestly incredible and a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders, totally worth the subscription.

**What do you like best about Collective?**

What I like best about Collective is the dedicated staff assigned to me on the bookkeeping and tax side. They make monthly paperwork easier and quicker, acting like business besties to handle the intricacies and allowing me to focus on what truly matters.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

What I dislike is that they don't do my personal taxes, which is frustrating, as they did the 1st year I used them. Collective also doesn't guarantee that the numbers are final. It's not a deal-breaker, but for those who like their financial ducks in a row, just a heads up that there might be a bit of flexibility in the numbers game

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

The personalized service, responsive team, and tax savings make the high upfront cost worth it.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective simplifies the complex tasks of business management for solo entrepreneurs / business-of-one like me. By offering a comprehensive solution from bookkeeping to tax services, it liberates time and mental energy, and smoother operations.

 ### 50. Still the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Collective?**

They offer extensive direct contact with accountants, who respond quickly to questions. They do your personal return as well as your business tax return.

**What do you dislike about Collective?**

They are still integrating technology into their workflow and it can be wonky. Its not a stopper but not really always convenient for clients when they make changes.
e.g. you must upload documents one at a time, manually categorizing each time.

**Recommendations to others considering Collective:**

Still much more affordable than having a CPA do your taxes.

**What problems is Collective solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collective has made having my own business very easy. - so much so that i recommend Collective to my business partners and clients.
