
I use Collage HR to manage our core HR processes in Germany. I appreciate how it strikes a balance between simplicity and compliance, which is crucial for SMEs. The leave management feature is incredibly clear and intuitive, allowing employees to check balances and request time off while managers can approve them with just a click. This process maintains full audit trails to ensure alignment with German labor laws. I find the built-in e-signature and document management features invaluable as they keep everything in one secure, GDPR-compliant place, making onboarding fast and paperless. The reporting functions are still quite basic—we can’t create custom, detailed reports for absence trends or compliance documentation, and the export options are limited. We also need better native integration with DATEV, since that’s the standard payroll and accounting tool for German businesses; right now we have to use workarounds instead of smooth automatic syncing.
