"Easy to manage solution and a great partner in Cohesity"
4/5
What do you like best about Cohesity?

Great for protecting VMware workloads in our on premises environment, and being able to archive those backups for long term in cheaper public cloud storage. Easy to use interface and policy driven backups make protecting large environments easier.

The thing I like best is the close partnership we have with Cohesity as a vendor. They listen to our needs and develop features that help meet our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

Some times they bring new features to market before they are fully polished or feature complete. Examples include their initial file serving option which was very limited. It has incrementally improved and was recently relaunched under a new name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Its About Time Secondary Storage and Data Protection got the Uber Treatment"
5/5
What do you like best about Cohesity?

A few fateful years ago, Uber brought to market the most amazing new thing we had ever seen. They allowed us to pay for a ride in someone else's car. WOW! So I know what you are thinking... "That's not new!" You're right. What they actually did was take a service that had been monopolized for so long by taxi companies and made it amazing. Taxi's are known for being expensive, dirty, a little smelly, squeaky brakes, having rude drivers, hard to catch, etc etc etc. Uber gave us the ability to easily find a ride, know the fare before we ride, pay a much lower fare, ride in someone's personal car that they care for b/c it's their personal car, provide reviews to weed out bad drivers (and riders), and do it all using an app. In short, they took the mundane and made it accessible, simple, efficient, affordable... This is what Cohesity has done for secondary storage and data protection. Cohesity looked at this technology space and said, "We can uberfy this thing." And they did. I can setup a new cluster of cohesity and protect my data in less than one working day. I can then schedule, retain, replicate my backups all through an intuitive and efficient html 5 gui. And as an added bonus, why not put all that processing power to work by allowing it to be a integral part of production work loads by offering secondary storage in the same way on the cluster. WOW! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

It could be seen as a plus or minus. But they don't support data protection for some legacy technologies... lotus notes for example. To me this makes sense b/c they are a forward looking company. This may push some customers to look for other more traditional "taxi" vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cohesity changed our backups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cohesity?

Extremely fast recovery times, easy to use and setup. Great integration to cloud backups (ie: AWS S3). Restores take only seconds to spin up which is awesome. Ties in to AD easily. Can replace the functionality of a SMB file server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

Exchange message-level restores are clunky, relies on 3rd party tool. Still works fine but takes longer than other vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cohesity?

Setting up a backup job, restoring files and VMs, and searching for these items are quick and easy. The install process and implementation can be done in half a day depending on the size of your environment. Restoring a 100GB VM from Cohesity was completed and back up and running in under 10 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

The documentation that is provided with the support pages are not always accurate. Some features do not work as well as anticipated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cohesity our solution for Back up as a Service"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cohesity?

After implementation when the storage stands you can manage everything from the web interface. Managing your back-ups from the web interface is very easy especially on a larger scale it works really well, compared to other solutions.

Also when we need more storage we just buy another unit and add them to the current cluster. It makes it very easy to scale for our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

The software updates sometimes come to soon. Support is always ready to help really quick but I feel if they did less updates with more testing it would better.

In the beginning we were missing some features which would make live easyer, but more and more of these features are getting enrolled with every new software update. But like I said the software updates could use more testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Implementation was easy, support staff is superb"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cohesity?

The overal experience is satisfying. We use Cohesity back-up solution to safeguard three of our datacenters. The original setup was quite simple and the few problems we encountered where quickly fixed. Cohesity is actively developing the software and new features are added constantly. Also, the possibility to run a virtual edition of their software is quite interesting for some implementations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohesity?

The support for multi tenancy and vCloud director took a while to create, but other then that the development does go quick for new functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
