"One of the best form tools around"
5/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

Very flexible with the ability to customize quite a lot using some basic scripting. Easily made into dynamic forms which can hide/show fields based on logic. The free option has 500 submissions a month which is good for most use. Easily integrates realtime into Integromat and Zapier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

Some features (e.g. uploads) require a paid account to access via Integromat. Also, the interface is a bit outdated and can be modernised slightly. The quantity limit tracking for some fields (e.g. checkboxes) seems a bit off some times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing and easy form builder"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

I have been using Cognito since last year, and it is effortless to use as long you know some skills with building forms, and it is time-saving for my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

Cognito form should include step by step knowledge document for newbies on how to build forms as it is time-consuming if a person doesn't have any skill with building forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Online Form Builder"

What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

The support for repeating sections allows forms to adapt to complex use cases better than any other tool I've tried! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

Limited options related to pagination and validation lead to a "pick your poison" decision between ease of navigation and securing required fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful but time-consuming to set up"
4/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

I like using the free version of Cognito forms to easily collect client information, then have it stored all in one place. I like that I can send a form link to clients, then they can fill out and submit their info, then I get an email notification and can easily login to view what they submitted. It's much easier for me, compared to collecting client info over the phone, or having them fill out a paper form to scan (how others in my industry collect info!). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

I dislike having to setup my forms. The interface is a bit cumbersome, so it takes more time than I think it should. I do like that I can copy existing forms to use as a template for another one, but if I go to delete a section on the new form, I get a notification that deleting that section will delete previously collected data -- and it's unclear to me whether that applies to the original form. So I err on the side of caution; instead of deleting the section, I just hide it -- which is a nice feature but makes my form look cluttered until I preview. "Easy, clean, web forms with data you can use"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

Compared to other online form tools, we like the built in workflow that allows users to review submissions before marking them as "Complete". This step allows for a review and confirmation before continuing to use the data for integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

There aren't many things that I dislike. There are a lot of features for online selling that we have no need for, but that hardly qualifies as a dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good for simple forms"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

I like the ability of use IF statements to restrict info on the forms. You can catch a lot things. Since this was mainly used for taking orders, there was a lot of input control needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

I wish it was more flexible for making orders. I'd like to return to it to use it as an online ordering system that's customizable to my company's needs. There was just too much work having to be put into it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

Cognito's forms and pricing tiers work well for my organization. We use online forms infrequently but often enough that we need an outside host. Cognito's forms are professional, functional, and have a variety of included functions like long-form answer, short-form answer, required questions, multiple-choice checkboxes, and drop-down menu choices. It also has more complex if-then fields that allow a customized form depending on what the user selects as they're filling out the form.

Form building is fairly easy and once a form is completed, generates a downloadable pdf. It's easy to tell how much progress is made on incomplete forms and to organize your forms into subfolders on the main page. It integrates well with our company website and so far, we have not had any technical issues with form submission or use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

Cognito is still growing its form functionality, which means that more established online form applications have some edge over it. We switched from a more expensive service simply because they did not have a lower volume option that better fit our needs. We were priced out of a company that had previously allowed us a payment plan for forms on a per-form basis, then switched to a subscription service which we did not even come close to meeting the monthly volume. "Easy option for forms and surveys"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cognito Forms?

Our team likes how easy it was to get started with Cognito and to integrate it into our website and other processes. We used to build forms ourselves on our site, but Cognito has replaced that and done an excellent job--saving time and simplifying our work. It's also a great option for sending customer surveys. We also use it to intake requests internally and direct them to the right people automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?

There' s not much I don't like. It doesn't have bells and whistles as far as displaying the data you receive--like charts, graphs, etc. So, if that's important to you, take some time to look into that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
