Also, you can run different queries on different tabs which makes parallel processing easy. Very reusable and scalable in terms of user friendliness. I have used the Analytics Management extensively. Aginity Amp makes sure that analytics use is consistent across your company. It catalogs both the data and the math utilized to create analytics, which makes it simpler to build trustworthy and consistent analytics. Heard that the governance and data cleansing feauture is also amazing. **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** The dashboard could be more appealing and simple. Sometimes, it gets stuck before of large query handling but that's only sometimes. Initially I had some installation issues too. **Recommendations to others considering Coginiti:** 1. Be well verse with SQL before using this. As most of the syntax is really SQL based, it would be better. 2. You can run different queries on different tabs, that's the good part. But try minimising them as well. **What problems is Coginiti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Extracting datasets, designing queries to look into big datasets etc. Aginity makes it very simple to do all such stuff. I have used the Azure SQL Data Warehouse to combine query performance with data security. My other team members used to integrate it with other products as well as their roles were of developers. I was a tester and my main job was to find loopholes in the analytics workload demands and expectations. ### 3. No-fuss SQL IDE ideal for Analytics Data Preprocessing **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Matěj A. | BIT Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2020 **What do you like best about Coginiti?** Simple interface, snippet catalog, compact UI elements that leave enough space to display code and results, in-application resource center, SQL history tracking, moderately fast execution and result fetching, complete intellisense, database inspect on background, csv inspector **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** Lack of DDL inspection for views, limited number of supported database drivers, absence of dark mode in the editor, no git support, csv import wizard is not a particularly useful feature, csv export would be appreciated, on the other hand. The keyboard shortcut execution is somewhat confusing as of March 2020 release. Vertical split of sidebars would also be very useful for tall screens. **Recommendations to others considering Coginiti:** Aginity is a great for beginners or users who engage in many other activities than just writing SQL. It is not suited for DBAs or database developers. The purpose of the product is to provide a comfortable workspace in direct communication with your data warehouse. **What problems is Coginiti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being directly connected to our data wrehouse, most of my activity is comprised of writing database views in Redshift SQL dialect, creating snapshots and utilizing the finalized queries further in BI platforms and with data science tools. Seing the whole query is not an option anymore, even with a vertical screen, but the more space there is for code in the viewport, the better. And that is the main strenght of Aginity. Its code completion and syntax highlighting features are flawless and general ease of use satisfying. Regarding database connectors, there are few, but those I use are reliable even when those of alternative products break. The automatic update feature is very pleasant as well. While I do not use Aginity as my main IDE and I don't make use of the paid Aginity Team plan, I do greatly appreciate the overall feel and would highly encourage others to give it a try, especially those who are new to SQL or struggle with organizing their work. Aginity Team seems helpful but the pricing is steep compared to other options in the market. ### 4. I used the version for Redshift. It has a complete set of tools to operate and develop your own databases. It can connect databases with native connector or ODBC. It seems to be simple application, but there are many features that can be used. At same time, it supports all your needs for a daily basis job. **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** It seems that the software was developed with old components. UI could be more updated. Sometimes the application seems to be lower when running complex data queries, but not too slow. It is acceptable. **Recommendations to others considering Coginiti:** It is a great tool to be used together with Amazon databases. I used for some time for RedShift and it worked very well. For me it is important to have a good SQL command area and also do not lost screen for data and this application works very good for this purpose. Another competitor tools don't have so simple and at same time useful resources. It was used for all our team and it fits perfect for everyone. The learning curve was very good, so wasn't necessary to hire a consultant to teach the application. **What problems is Coginiti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using the application to develop and manage data of Amazon RedShift. It is easier than perform directly in the cloud. It's user friendly interface and utilities makes it one of the best querying tool in market. Creating a new connection profile is very easy and quick. Queries can be saved as a file and also a set of files, so that you can open all at once next time you need it. **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** Export results function works most of the times but has a huge lag. I write my queries in aginity, then it calls the database. **What do you like best about Coginiti?** It’s pretty quick to get up and running, and once you’re all set up, the interface is pretty straightforward. **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** There is no automatic SQL formatting, so you have to create line breaks yourself. If you want to add that option, you have to really get into the technical nuts and bolts ### 9. Tables can be dragged which makes the work easier. **What do you dislike about Coginiti?** The error messages are not intuitive. Some of the times the queries take too long to run.
