Good but could be better **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2019 **What do you like best about CoffeeScript?** I really liked how it would give me shorthand way to write javascript and would be pretty cool as it works well with ruby on rails however javascript has now caught up. **What do you dislike about CoffeeScript?** Javascript has now caught up and CoffeeScript has not evolved maybe if it had faster build times then I would consider using it again but as it stands to think it is slow and I find no benefits from using it. **Recommendations to others considering CoffeeScript:** Please fix and adapt to the new culture and make things better so that the end user is benefited from it **What problems is CoffeeScript solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coffee script when it started off was very good as it came bundled with ruby on rails but now that I use it more I find it to be an inconvenience to the product as javascript has caught up there is not need to use it. ### 2. It creates a sense of familiarity for developers from a python and ruby background **What do you dislike about CoffeeScript?** For traditional javascript developer, the CoffeeScript syntax is a little disorienting and the added burden of transpiling CoffeeScript code to javascript is an added burden **What problems is CoffeeScript solving and how is that benefiting you?** CoffeeScript only promotes brevity in the code and reduces the keystrokes need to perform common operation like creating lists and looping ### 3.
