Codex Pro has become part of my regular development workflow **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Aashu J. | Student, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026 **What do you like best about CodexPro?** I started using Codex Pro more regularly while working on several of my own development projects, including a College Admission Portal, E-Commerce project, AI Study Buddy, and Data Analytics Dashboard. I usually open it when I have a specific coding task rather than just asking it general programming questions. The AI coding assistance is probably the part I use most. For example, if something is breaking after I change a component, I can give Codex the issue and let it inspect the surrounding code. I can then ask it to explain the problem, suggest a fix, or make the change and let me review it. I found this more useful than simply copying an error message into a normal chat because it can work with the project context. I also use the Agents section for tasks that involve several steps. I have used it for things like fixing dashboard bugs, working on authentication-related changes, and making changes that involve more than one file. I don't just accept the result automatically—I normally go through the changes and run the project afterward. From the UI/UX side, the Projects, Tasks, and Agents sections make sense once you have used them for a while. When I first started, I had to figure out how I wanted to divide work between a normal task and an agent task. After that, I found myself using the same workflow repeatedly. The performance has generally been good for the size of projects I work on. Smaller fixes and code questions usually don't take very long, while larger tasks involving several files naturally take more time. I actually prefer seeing the task progress and being able to inspect the result rather than getting one large block of code with no context. **What do you dislike about CodexPro?** The main thing I don't like is that Codex can sometimes interpret a broad instruction differently from what I intended. For example, if I say "fix the authentication issue" without explaining exactly what I want changed, it may touch several related files. I have learned to give it a more specific task and then review the changes before running the project. I also think the initial learning curve around Agents and task instructions could be better. It took me a few sessions to understand how detailed my instructions needed to be and when I should use an agent instead of a normal task. **What problems is CodexPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before using Codex regularly, when I ran into an issue in a project, my usual process was to search through different files, check documentation, look at the error, and try several possible fixes. This was particularly frustrating when I knew what I wanted the application to do but couldn't immediately find where the problem was. With Codex Pro, I can start with the actual project and describe the problem in context. On my College Admission Portal, for example, I used it while working around authentication-related changes and later during deployment-related work. On the E-Commerce project, I used it while working on functionality around the payment integration. In both cases, I still had to test the final result myself, but Codex gave me a concrete place to start instead of making me investigate every file manually. The biggest practical benefit I've noticed is that I can use it throughout a project rather than only for writing new code. I use it for debugging, modifying existing code, understanding unfamiliar parts of a project, and handling multi-step development tasks. I still make the final decisions about what gets merged or deployed, but Codex has become a regular part of how I work through coding problems. ### 2.
