"The ideal solution for migration on premise Exchange to Microsoft 365"

5/5

What do you like best about CodeTwo Office 365 Migration?

CodeTwo installs on a server or workstation to perform the migration. This is what makes it the ideal choice for performing an on-premise Exchange to Microsoft 365 migration. There is less Internet traffic involved and only one remote host (Microsoft’s servers) involved.

Pricing for CodeTwo is very favourable, particularly if a large number of mailboxes are involved. The pricing is tiered and continues to decrease starting at 10 mailboxes. If you’re migrating a large (greater than 30 GB) public folder database, CodeTwo is the hands-down choice over MigrationWiz from a cost perspective. CodeTwo uses 25 mailbox licenses for public folders, regardless of the size. MigrationWiz charges for every 10 GB of public folder space being migrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CodeTwo Office 365 Migration?

The CodeTwo migration does not migrate on-premise Archive mailboxes. This could be a major problem if you've got a lot of Archive mailboxes on your Exchange server. We also found that we needed to run the initial migrations a few times because one side or the other would get overloaded and that would generate hundreds or thousands of errors. This was particularly prevalent while we were migrating hundreds of gigabytes of public folders. Fortunately, re-running the migrations was quick and resolved almost all of the errors. The only errors that remained to the end were actual corrupt messages, amounting to an insignificant number of errors at the end (maybe a handful out of millions of messages successfully migrated). Recommendations to others considering CodeTwo Office 365 Migration:

It's a no-brainer for on premise migrations to Microsoft 365, or if you have over about 35 GB of public folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CodeTwo Office 365 Migration solving and how is that benefiting you?

CodeTwo allowed us to continue functioning with our on-premise Exchange server while migrating our dozens of mailboxes. After we flipped the switch to Microsoft 365, the final migration took about an hour to cover about 120 mailboxes and public folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
