**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiyu C. | Software Development Engineer Intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

I like the CodeSignal coding environment. It is friendly and easy to use. Even as a first-time user, I did not have any problem navigating it. I also like how we can share past results with companies instead of doing a new test each time. This saves people lots of time through the interview process and helps speed the process up.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

I hope the Code Report page can be a bit more clear. I have a coding report from a previous interview, but I cannot see it anywhere on my Coding Report page. I hope the interface can be a bit more clear about where to find my reports.

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Several companies I interviewed with used CodeSignal for coding challenges. I realized that I only need to do the test once and then can share the result with all companies. This helped me save a lot of time in the interview process.

  ### 6. Codesignal is an efficient, objective, accurate skill evaluation platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I like the efficiency which shorten the process to applied for tech companies. Most first round screening will cost time to schedule meeting and make arrangement, that will waste a lot of time.

Well sometimes the code difficulties varies and the 14 days frozen time is a bit annoying. Since different company wants to gives an interviewee opportunities to evaluate they should have the chance to retaken.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2021

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

The site has a very high appeal to me. It is very responsive and intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

Overall, I do not like the restrictions on the problems. The time limits SHOULD be more strict so we can know if the solution is optimal or not. Preferably, there could be some configuration options to enable the strict mode and, a way to show the public that the problems are solved in that strict mode enabled :D

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve random problems. I really like the challenges where the solutions are ranked by the number of chars.
I have a bit specific approach to using CodeSignal. I am a big fan of C++ and I try to use CodeSignal to improve my knowledge of STL by seeking STL functions that fit the solution best. That way I use the functions that otherwise I wouldn't in my day-to-day programming.

CodeSignal is straightforward and simple to use

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 13. Great platform with fun, challenging questions

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

CodeSignal has a beautiful UI, and the experience is good when doing coding questions. It also offers practices that simulate real test environment, which is super helpful for candiates preparing for a coding interview. The CodeSignal score is also a cool measure that can save you from multiple tests. My score was 849/850, and I feel proud of that.

The questions are challenging, fun yet often manageble, which means you can come up with solutions after thinking. Good for learning algorithm and problem-solving skills as well.

Nothing I can think of, perhaps the first two questions are always too simple, but it won't take much time

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

All the languages are there. Problems are straightforward and well written. The interface works great and has an autocomplete feature for class libraries and functions. Testing inside the editor and logging debug info to the console is a neat thing too.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

Some of the problems on the arcade mode might seem unbalanced; maybe a couple of them seem too easy given that you might have done dozens (or hundreads) that are harder.

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me practice some algorithms, data structures, and functions I haven't used for a couple of years. Mainly because they are not used in everyday development, but they tend to be required in coding interviews.

I highly recommend CodeSignal to everyone who aspires to be a great software engineer and improve their coding skills.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

The Coding Score - it allows a non-technical person to understand elements of a developer's solution that a non-technical person would never be able to otherwise.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

The platform has not improved in the two years that I've used it. Many questions are valued arbitrarily, not allowing a non-technical person to know how complex or easy the problem is.

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CodeSignal allows a new recruiter to assess a Java Developers skillset to an extent. That is something that I hadn't perceived as possible in the last 5 years of my recruiting career.

There was nothing much to dislike here, I had a positive response from codesignal and the proctured and unproctored coding tests were really good and everybody should try this out

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with codesignal the major problem that I found which was solved was giving coding interview, and this was shareable to many recruiters which saves a lot of time.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison C. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2020

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

The UI was very clean, very easy to see the questions and the sample inputs for each question. It was easy to see how many test cases passed and which ones failed. Very intuitive design! Also, there was very nice autocomplete that you don't see on most online editors. The questions were also very unique and well thought out, I really felt challenged, but there weren't any nasty edge cases or super hairy logic.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

Not much, the overall experience was excellent, it just felt kinda weird to have my cam & screen shared the whole time, but I guess that's what you have to give to get a thorough candidate check.

It's a great platform for programming, the home page is kind of cluttered though.

**Reviewed by:** Katherine O. | Ingenieur logiciel Backend / Scrum Master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

It's nice to be able to choose the programming language on the fly.

I don't know other websites like this.

During interviews, I would like to have a chat, even if I write in the IDE and the interviewer can see too.

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good tool for interviews, that otherwise the would need to send the code by mail or a dedicated platform

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast feedback on proctored tests.

  ### 47. Interesting questions on platform and tests with high variance output

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

I like the questions both available publicly and on the assessment -- they're bite sized and fun to think about and often don't require a rigorous explanation.

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

The output of the test is high variance; I took it twice, did much better the second time, but ended up getting a worse score. I also feel like the publicly available questions are a lot easier than the ones on the assessment, which makes it hard to prep. Finally, the interface is kinda buggy in high DPI zoomed in displays, and it's also very *very* slow when loading.

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CodeSignal makes recruiting a little easier. I only have to take one test to send to all companies. This saves time on my end as an applicant.

  ### 48. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2022

I completed an online assessment on it as part of an interview process.

  ### 49. IT is very convinient

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved python and DB based problems

  ### 50. Good interview IDE to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2022

**What do you like best about CodeSignal?**

Has the look and feel of a normal coding text editor/IDE

**What do you dislike about CodeSignal?**

One small thing would be debugging capabilities - but definitely not a requirement especially for an interview IDE

**What problems is CodeSignal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving interview coding problems (i.e. Leetcode problems).
