The interface and that if you were happy with your score you could share it with other companies. Also it creates fairness because questions are of same level for everyone. Also if you change from one question to the other too much your score decreases. I did not like that. Also they should provide a detailed feedback on your performance. The test I gave for Innovit seemed to be very relevant to what I am expected to do at the position. Another test I gave for Upwork was way off. For innovit the test seemed to be spot on. Inaccess to examples and more test cases for preparation side of the website is inconvenient. Inability to change the colour theme to a material google theme can also be improved. I like being able to know the exact format, such as 4 questions where Q1 and Q2 are super easy. I also think the coding platform is nice, although I don't think that it stands out from the competition or anything. What I like the most is being able to reuse scores from one company to another because that really saves a lot of time, and because one of my tests is proctored it can show companies that I didn't cheat. Sometimes the difficulty of Q3 and Q4 can vary across tests, so even though the GCA is supposed to be standardized there can still be a bit of luck. For example questions like spiral matrix are a totally different skillset than suffix pairs. One of them is more knowing how to traverse an array while the other relies more on optimization. I also think that codesignal could be a little more transparent as you really have to dig to find out the exact format and how its scored. Additionally, I wish that there was more wiggle room to retake assessments. I would like to retake the GCA for a slightly better score, but I'm afraid that if I do worse then I can't reuse my old score ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
