The exam and interface were easy to use and understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about CodeSignal? The biggest issue, I think, was the inability to understand your scoring. I felt my solution worked well, passed all the tests, and covered corner cases. My orginal score was cut in half once reviewed and I'm still unsure why. I checked stack overflow, leet code, and other sources for similar questions and have yet to find my solution not similar or more efficient than other highly rated solutions. This made the experience frustrating to say the least. I understand not being able to show questions and answers but the fact my solution's score was cut in half with no explanation as to why, I don't believe, is best practice. I find CodeSignal to be a very inconsistent and unfair testing platform with a wide range of difficulties for the questions asked. What do you dislike about CodeSignal? I don't particularly appreciate how the problem difficulty can be highly inconsistent. I have taken a few code signals and had an extensive range of results without much difference in preparation. Having inconsistent results without a change in procedure is indicative of bad design. I thought the questions were of acceptable quality, and the time limit was also reasonable. There were no errors with the platform either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about CodeSignal? The fact that your score is based on time left was not explained anywhere, and this method of scoring encourages sloppy work. The difficulty of the questions seemed completely random after taking it twice, and the instructions never clearly stated the submit button could be used infinitely. "Depends too much on luck" 1.5/5 What do you like best about CodeSignal? I like that the questions generally increase in difficult, so we get a warmup question. Your score is heavily dependent on which questions you get from the question pool and not a reliable indication of how you usually solve algorithm questions. For example, I took two tests within several weeks of each other and my score dropped 100 points from the first take. It's possible to get really difficult questions that aren't solvable in the time limit. I also believe the time score is not standardized, so you can solve the problems fairly quickly and for some reason get a lower score than someone who solved slower on similar difficult questions.
