CodeCanyon offers a wide range of code and plugins, many of which are excellent and reasonably priced. Need something specific? You are likely to find a matching product on Code Canyon, based on the popularity of the platform. What do you dislike about CodeCanyon? Unfortunately, as part of the Envato ecosystem, the business model is atrocious. Over the years I've come to despise the Envato model which expires credits, doesn't let you use credits toward Envato subscriptions, refuses to take any proactive steps with abandoned products (e.g. a product was abandoned two weeks after a purchase and Envato support presented a series of hoops and challenges to make it nearly impossible to get a refund). You know how when you're burned twice (let alone three times) you want nothing to do with a business? This is it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is CodeCanyon solving and how is that benefiting you? I just CodeCanyon in two main ways: 1) Finding products and code that address specific needs that others also have (which spreads out the development cost to a palatable amount). 2) Fishing expeditions to see what products and code are on CodeCanyon can lead to finding items that you didn't know you needed. CodeCanyon is one of the best marketplaces I have used. There are scripts, plugins, themes/templates, etc. everything related to the website build. The authors are completely verified by CodeCanyon. I don't know how the pricing agreement is made between the authors and CodeCanyon here, but the pricing seems a bit too much here for some WordPress scripts and themes. It has large numbers of plugins, themes, scripts, everything I need to start a business right away. They have excellent support, and pricing is also great. I purchased a script from them a few days ago due to the Black Friday sale. What do you dislike about CodeCanyon? What I don't like is that I need to pay extra money to get additional support from the creator of the theme, plugin, whatever I buy. And I don't like the additional Handling Fees. I was buying the item for around 69$, but in the end, it became $71, and I had to add extra money to my PayPal to buy it. Code Canyon gives me the ability to put together a system of plugins that I can use on multiple sites and get predictable performance and results. When I'm doing website development, especially for myself, it's nice to know I have access to a group of cost-effective tools that won't let me down. The realized benefits include a predictable budget, predictable quality control, predictable amounts of time needed to complete tasks, and most important, peace of mind. I love the fact that I can find so many well design and developed products in just one platform. As a freelancer graphic and website designer I frequently need one or more plugins to add specific funcionalities to Wordpress in order to meet project requirements. The products available there, allow me to deliver solutions to my clients needs that otherwise I could not or woudn't have the means to. Until now I never had any problems with CodeCanyon. The only downside for me. is that as a Divi Builder user I do not find many Divi specific plugins. That probably happens, because Divi has a strong ecosystem of it's own. Ultimately that is not a big issue for me since there is a Divi specific marketplace to solve that. Codencayon products speed up project development and allows me to deliver solutions that meet my client's needs. Most of the times it's a product that performs well and that solves a specific problem. If I had to hire a developer to create some of the products available in CodeCanyon my clients would refuse my proposals. Without it, my businnes could not thrive and be competitive in this industry. The projects are well documented, Code Canyon always ensures the documentations and project quality. 4. The features i like and the reason i like Code Canyon are given bellow, 1. Huge collection of almost every types of projects 2. Support and full access of the source codes 3. Documented source codes and free updated versions of the purchased products. 4. Source code of multiple platforms, example: android, ios, web application, template, UI design. 5. Prices are not so high. 6. The purchased source code can be access always from the account so no worry about losing purchased code. 7.
