I like the ease of use with CaseText. It allows for automatic citation searches from within CARA AI, the feature that allows you to review and check your citations is great. Downloading all cited cases from within a brief is also really helpful and saves me a bunch of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I really dislike. CaseText seems to always be upping it's game to compete with the big players in this space. They offer great customer support and I really find the coverage to be improving all the time. Annotated statutes is a great recent addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Casetext, I am able to conduct thorough legal research on an intuitive, user-friendly platform, all at a low cost. Westlaw may also offer great resources on a user-friendly platform, but at a high cost. Lexis is also costly and its platform is difficult to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really can’t think of anything I dislike. It would be great if it offered the secondary or supplemental resources offered by Westlaw or Lexis, but those resources are not essential to most legal research. I love how simple and easy it is to use this software. I'm a 1L student and we were provided with WESTLAW for free but it has so many features that can easily become overwhelming. I know when I come here I'm not going to get lost in all the features and I'm going to find what I need in a time-effective manner.
