What do you like best about CoCounsel Legal?

I love that I can use a statement or a question as my "search" and Casetext provides relevant and accurate results. It's saves me so much time to research particular issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoCounsel Legal?

I wish I could narrow my search to specific terms in Black's Law Dictionary in Casetext but I haven't been able to figure this out or it isn't possible yet. I'll keep trying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoCounsel Legal solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a solo practitioner, it is critical I can save time when researching issues. I need my research to be efficient and effective. Casetext delivers. What do you like best about CoCounsel Legal?

Casetext is very user-friendly, which is plus compared to some of the other systems. I also appreciate that it includes all Courts, rather than requiring us to pay separately for each state that we practice in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoCounsel Legal?

I do wish there were more state-specific forms available - as that has been a bit of a challenge. We previously used another larger company for our research services and they provided state-specific forms - including pleadings and motions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Casetext for researching and while their system is a bit different from others in the space, it is super easy to learn. I appreciate being able to upload a filing to get potential cites. What do you like best about CoCounsel Legal?

What do you like best about CoCounsel Legal?

Back in the day, I used actual books to do legal research. As years went on, I was blown away by Westlaw and some of the cheaper services -- but didn't care for the price. Casetext is not only affordable, but is, in my opinion, the easiest-to-use research service online.

You don't really need a lot of training to figure out how to use Casetext because it is designed so that the user can intuit how to use it. It has a clean interface and delivers search results quickly. It's worth taking Casetext's webinar series, though, because there are some gems hidden within how you can fine tune your search results.

The best component is what they call "CARA A.I." Upload a memo or brief, hit search, and be prepared to be blown away.

What do you dislike about CoCounsel Legal?

The downside of Casetext is that it doesn't have old opinions. For instance, a loft of work I do involves water right opinions that predate statehood. These old opinions do not tend to show up in Casetext's search results. I would be happy to upload some of the old copies of opinions that I have should Casetext decide to create a community library where we can share documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
