It helps them understand how to do things within the software. ### 2. With LICEcap you get a nice GIF which can be uploaded to ClickUp, Gitlab, Slack with the utmost ease. **What do you dislike about Cockos?** The interface is a little antiquated. The latest version still needs to be optimized for MacOS. **Recommendations to others considering Cockos:** Give it a try! **What problems is Cockos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Taking screen caps of websites for bug reports, and being able to drag them directly into the ticket for the developer to watch a live demo in GIF of the problem is amazing, both for me and the developer. ### 3. It opens in a sec and I've never crossed by a bug. **What do you dislike about Cockos?** It would be nice if the archives were automatically updated into the cloud, generating a link to be shared. **What problems is Cockos solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use licecap for onboarding, for lead generation, for lead nutrition - basically it's used to show the product for those who don't use it yet and also for those who are using and have a question. ### 4. Interface is immensely simple. **What do you dislike about Cockos?** Not a lot of ability to edit the gif, and the frame rate is also not great if you need high quality backgrounds (e.g. recording animations on a phone for a client demo, you may have some pixel-y parts of the gif) **Recommendations to others considering Cockos:** LICEcap is free and can definitely give your team access to the wonderful spectrum of gif applications -- gifs make life way easier, so I strongly recommend LICEcap! **What problems is Cockos solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use licecap to create gifs for streamlining our support team's interactions, providing clients with gifs for how our platform might function with their branding. It saves a ton of time from back and forths, and it makes our team more effective! ### 5. I can embed the clips I record into PowerPoint or directly into SharePoint to assist users in software use. Great teaching tool. **What do you dislike about Cockos?** I really dislike the name. Folks think I'm kidding when I mention the name. I do wish the software was a little more robust, but for basic capture it is superb. **Recommendations to others considering Cockos:** Make sure that you review all captures before showing others to make sure that only what you are trying to demonstrate is captured in the movements. **What problems is Cockos solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have many users who learn by visual means. LICEcap provides me the ability to present "how-to" sessions that help these kinds of learners understand the instructions. It is also nice to be able to post the capture later and other users who cannot attend meetings can review the materials on their own machines, in the own time and can review anytime the need to. ### 6.
