I was afraid at first because I have never used any similar tool before. My boss demonstrated how we do our task from this tool and I was so surprised that navigating it is so easy and fast. It is very straightforward and direct that you can be confident that you will be able to execute the task at hand. It does not come with too many complex features that will make you intimidated, instead, it actually has a friendly user interface, and yet all buttons and tools are functional enough to allow you to do the task with precision and it has some advanced features also that will perfectly match those who have been using IntelliCAD before. **What do you dislike about CMS IntelliCAD?** CMS IntelliCAD, so far, is able to deliver the promise of making the tasks easy and efficient so at this point, I would not change anything at all. It has helped me in developing construction plans very quick. It’s quite intuitive coupled with easy and custom commands and interface. It can be used to handle wide range of different designs or projects because there are great functions on it. 2 Dimension and 3 Dimension drawings can be done. IntelliCAD output files can be used on other CAD software and vice versa. It’s versatile. From my days using AutoCAD, this software is very much better as the pricing plan doesn’t look like a rip-off. **What do you dislike about CMS IntelliCAD?** There are sudden glitches while using the software. This is quite common with other CADs too. The learning curve can be very long especially if you are new. The standard tools make me happy using the software. When I emailed them, they claimed that I was told ahead of time to deactivate the previous installs in an email that I never recieved. Luckily I had one of the old machines around still, so I fire it up and deactivate the license only to get an error. Now it won't let me deactivate anymore because the machine says it doesn't have a license, but I also can't reactivate on my new computer because it didn't release my license, and yet they still will not even attempt to assist me. Just over 12 months after that, the company is completely blocking me from using the software (asked for new license key), this time by saying it's not compatible with Windows 10, even though the license was purchased after Windows 8 had already been released and long after Windows 7 was released and all Windows 7 & 8 programs are supposed to be compatible with Windows 10. In summary, the company tries to scam money off of you every opportunity that they get and paying $350 to use the software for only 2+ years, until who knows what trick they come up with next, makes this software completely unappealing, considering he learning curve involved. **Recommendations to others considering CMS IntelliCAD:** I would not recommend purchasing IntelliCAD from this particular company. The system is not bloated with so many features that I rarely or never use. Can display and print Autodesk Inventor .dwg files. **What do you dislike about CMS IntelliCAD?** Minor bugs that are probably common to most or all IntelliCAD consortium-based CAD products. No support for image tile menus, or palette menus (yet.) Plotting using common script (.scr) files was better in the previous version (v7.)
