Having a single source of truth across accounting and field operations has noticeably improved our data accuracy. Since information no longer has to be entered twice in two different systems, we’re seeing far fewer discrepancies between what the field reports and what ultimately shows up in the financials.

Some reports and customizations still require assistance from CMiC support or a consultant, rather than being something our internal team can easily build and maintain on our own.

The equipment management module has helped us track utilization and maintenance costs across our fleet in a way we couldn’t easily do before. That visibility has fed directly into more accurate job costing, especially on equipment-heavy projects.

There’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, mainly because the platform covers so much ground. After our team got through the first few weeks, it started to feel like second nature, but that initial ramp-up still takes some patience.

We previously had limited insight into equipment utilization and maintenance costs, which made it difficult to tell whether we were managing our fleet efficiently. CMiC’s tracking tools now provide that visibility, and it’s helped us make more informed decisions about repairs, replacements, and how we allocate equipment across jobs.

The integrations with third-party companies, along with the internal connections between accounting and project management, are excellent. I also appreciate how well the real-time reports perform, especially for analyzing project costs and overall financials. The pricing feels competitive and affordable. On top of that, the CMIC support team is consistently helpful: they answer our case questions promptly and make themselves available to hop on calls whenever we need to troubleshoot more complex issues or work through detailed questions. There's also an AI chat tool available to answer questions in real time during after-hours if needed. When dealing with day-to-day operations the modules are really user friendly and there are great learning tools available if someone wants to become a pro in the system.

The only item I would say may need some improving from an accounting standpoint is the certified payroll report from a biweekly standpoint. Making it easier to read in both .pdf and excel form for submission purposes in the construction world.

It’s bundled to handle not only accounting and project management, but also payroll items, which is a lifesaver. Everything is at my fingertips, so I don’t have to go anywhere else to run reports. It saves a lot of time and hassle compared with going back and forth between multiple programs.

It’s an all-in-one platform that makes our project operations run much more smoothly.

It takes some time to learn the system because it’s so detailed, but there isn’t really anything I dislike about it.

Connecting our accounting system to our project management solves a major problem we used to have. It’s been a great tool for our team to use and makes our day-to-day work much easier.

In my opinion it is the best all-around construction ERP available today. I have experience with other non-construction ERPs, but neither of them would be a good fit for a construction company.

I do wish I had a better environment to test in that was only overwritten at my request. I also wish creating financial reports was an easier process.

Having a consolidated system that brings many aspects of running a business together on one platform is extremely beneficial. I especially like that, beyond the standard ERP functionality, it also includes timekeeping.

There are many benefits to using CMIC. The batched EFT integration has been a real time-saver for us, and it has also helped reduce costs. Another benefit has been implementing CMIC Field for construction contracts and budget management, which has made it easier for us to stay on top of those areas.
