**What do you like best about CMap?**

- It is very intuitive and easy to use

- If you have 'quirks' in your process you have to do a 'best fit' but we have so far always found a wayI add

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our projects and preventing double entry by integrating with Sage. Before we were managing projects in spreadsheets, with no consistency or visibility. We now have all our information in one place and everyone knows the processes. All this information then is fed into Sage via the integration tool, where before we were having to manually enter again, with the higher potential for errors.

Using CMap has saved us time, reduced erros and given us much better visilibity of where we are as a business at a given time, how we are performing and how we could be doing better. The information that comes out via reporting and the dashboard has been invaluable.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

Accessible platform which is quite intuitive for people who aren't tech savvy. Customer support is good and they do take on board suggestions so the platform has evolved in the 3 years of use.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

Personally, i would like the holiday booking sheet to speak to the timesheets more. Some of the reporting functions could also be more accessible on templates, but other than that it is a really great platform.

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a busy consultancy practice and CMAP allows up to track utilisation and link this to fees, time, expenses, and change orders etc. We are now also using CMAP to link directly to our financial reporting system so we are really placing the system at the heart of all of our business operations.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

CMAP is an invaluable, user-friendly and intuitive tool to manage projects. It gives great insight into individual projects, including budgets, details and progress. When managing numerous complex projects, this tool allows project managers to see an overall picture helping to navigate overall profits and staff allocation. It is helpful for both individual use and also to use as a whole company.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

I have no particular dislike for any aspect. I have just attended a training session facilitated by CMAP which gave me more insight into the various functionalities of CMAP that I was not aware of before. This training helped me to understand the different functions of CMAP and how I can utilise them when managing projects in the future.

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CMAP allows reports to be run from the data stored on staff utilisation and fees. Running reports like this helps us to allocate the staff that are available at that time ensuring projects are efficient, profitable and do not overrun due to a lack of staff resources.

Integrated project flow from early stage pipeline, into live project, tracking and billing.
Some good standard reports.
Relatively easy to follow
Good ability to export reports as csv to manipulate data for bespoke reports - but couldn't this be done better in the app?
Good training videos that can be used as aide memoires
Easy to integrate with Xero for billing

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

No 2 factor authentication without paying for the premium version.  Unacceptable in today's world of cybersecurity requirements.
Reporting can be inflexible and difficult to combine data from the different data tables in the application.
Some inconsistency on some of the pages, where sometimes you need to hit Save to record changes and other pages you don't.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

I have CMAP open all the time as I use it to manage my projects and resource our associates, and to integrate the finances with Sage.  The reports that can be produced are ideal for reporting to the Board members.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

The only feature I have an issue with is that you cannot go back to a previous date and change the resourcing, but this does mean that you have to keep up to date with all projects.

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides one central location to manage all projects so that we can see what is happening within the business at any time.  It saves time with the Sage integration tool and reduces mistakes in inputting the data.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

- CMAP is very straightforward and user friendly. 
- CMAP Consultants, Support Team and Onboarding Team have been brilliant. Max Stothard has been our consultant, he's been patient with any queries we have and very responsive. 
- The phased onboarding process broke it down really nicely for us to implement to the wider team members. 
- Our team of 30 use this system daily for filling in timesheets. The overall feedback has been positive and everyone commends it for how quick and easy it is to submit time. 
- The features are great, but not ovewhelming either. It breaks down the process really well for us from winning a project to invoicing for the project.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

We are still learning to use all of CMAP's functions to get the most out of the platform. Once we have achieved this I couldn't say I disliked anything about CMAP!

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to mannually use Excel for Timesheets and invoices each month which took longer and caused delays. This also lead to human errors happening more regularly due to incorrect invoicing or lack of communication. 
CMAP keeps all of this information on one place and should help minimise human error.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

CMAP has the best user interface in the market by a long way... It's ease and firendly layout is a very effective way to ensure uptake and user satisifaction. CMAP guys are always developing their product taking on customer input every step of the way to help develop the product for its users.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

There have been some inconsitencies with the way things are named and the linking of certian aspects in the system (ie date ranges need to be update in multiple places for ceratin actions to be able to work). However this is something CMAP are currently working on fixing "connect the dots".

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CMAP allows us to easily report on up to date financial performance of project across our practice at the click of a button. Gaining a better understanding fo any upcoming shortfalls in project fees or insights in to best practce for management of our projects to ensure the bets outcome for us and the end client.

Being able to track projects and get reports which have been required for a long time but were not available on previous systems. 

I like the way CMAP is set out and how easy to navigate it is, also allowing each task to be assigned to a person, this is really useful.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

There are a couple of things CMAP can't do such as looking back at previous things, and therefore being able to get reports for them.

Being able to track projects without using a spreadsheet and collecting data in report form without opening excel.

The customer support from the CMap team during the onboarding process was fist class. The finite detail of the knowledge of the software to make it work for our bespoke consultancy was exceptional. And now that we are established partners the support does not falter with advancements regularly.

I would like the resourcing to be less onerous but have not solutions to offer. It does all it needs to but when projects flex it can be time consuming to update.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

Powerful and sophisticated BI reporting; the standard reports are intuitive and illuminative, and the custom reports allow for a great level of depth in distilling intelligence. I use CMap report outputs to populate a Power BI dashboard; this integration has proved vital.

Timesheets and expenses are very simple to use and populate. Project tracking and performance is great to see in real time.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

With the sophistication CMap provides, there is a learning curve for the more advanced reporting. Certain fields are not immediately apparent or hidden elsewhere within custom reports. The scope of reporting is so wide, it can come across as overwhelming.

CMAP is easy to use and has a wide range of functionalities that help team members to understand the detail of each project but also summary views of progress across all projects.

There are no real downsides but there are a lot of functionalities which take time to learn in full, but once confidence is gained they are easy to use.

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CMAP has helped us to track all projects across the business and to understand in detail the progress of each including profitability and loss. It also allows us to understand staff utilisation uwhich allows us to understand capacity for new projects. The timesheet function is helpful, with inputs possible each day, and staff training records allow us to understand any gaps in professional development.

I love that is allows a project to be managed from start to end within one program. Addiotionally it allows all areas of the team to align with a projects progress and success and monitor it's budget at any given point. I love the resources schdeule option, detailed feed estimator builder and option to create templates for projects that evolve.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

A tweak to the resource schedule allowing us to review past periods would be a great asset.

It is very good for managing my timesheets and tracking the progress of jobs. I also like how I can allocate my time to manage my workload efficiently.

It can sometimes be confusing to manage the project page, but this is just something I had to learn

For me personally, it is solving the problem of time management. For Niche as a whole, it is a great way to assess pricing, profitability, overtime, and workload.

CMAP is so easy to use and is really intuitive. It does what a zillion spreadsheets at my last company does in seconds. There are so many different functionalities (HR, timesheets, project financials) all in one place.

Its a shame you can't use the back button without having to re run a report.

Recording of time, WIP, budget v actual, HR records.
So great to have them all in one place.

Worlds apart from our previous CRM, I love the customised dashboard and fee estimator functionality probably the most. It has been a very easy integration process.

There's always room for improvement in any system but I can see that updates and continuous improvements are always being made

The tabs are clearly marked and generally I find everything I need to be easy to find. The customisable dashboard is useful. The customer support during set up was very thorough.

It took quite a lot of work internally to get set up and running.

It keeps everything in one place, reducing the number of individual documents/systems we need.

I just started using it, so I am still a little fresh. I like the overall layout and interface, and I have been told that it will help with pipelines and staff planning.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

I do not like that you have to specifically enter the "project phase" for each project, for each day, for each week all the time. I do think though it gives you some flexibility for time entry but it gets a little repetitive.

**What problems is CMap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is helping us manage our timesheets. So far I have not seen a benefit, but we have been told that it will help us when inputting projects and proposals along with staff plans.

Specificity and access that the website allows the user to go into; for example, the detailed options for expenses/timesheets

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

not a big fan of the complicatedness - it isn't as ease to flow through the websites - some parts of the website are difficult to navigate through.

allows the entire company to keep track on budgeting/timesheets for staff - allows us to look closer into our project margins and which sections of the projects are taking up the most amount of resources

**What do you like best about CMap?**

I have used several different revenue platforms, and CMap has got to be the best. It's incredibly user-friendly. You can create any report you need in an accessible format. There is a knowledge centre that they regularly update, which surpasses any knowledge guide I've seen on other platforms. I e-mail the support team periodically and usually receive a reply within 24 hours. If you struggle to create a report, they can listen to what you need and make it for you. If I can't get help from the support team or the knowledge centre, our Account Manager Alex can resolve it. The system is well laid out, looks great, is very user-friendly, and has unbeatable support.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

We've been struggling with the expense approval process. Would be great to have an easy approval dashboard for timesheets, POs, expenses and third party costs. Similar to what I've seen with SAP.

They are investigating the expense approval workflow. Non-billable time job codes need to be looked at. They pull into all reports which is not great for my rev rec and doing vlookups against jobs I have missed. I usually find I have a bunch of jobs I've missed but they are all non-billable. We can't use the admin job function as these jobs are across the group.

We're trying to make CMap the "single source of truth" for all project-related information. It enables transparency across our team. 
CMap is intuitive for users in multiple roles.
I really liked the underlying principle of helping people-based businesses see how much time they might not be selling.

The data is complex and so there are inevitably aspects which don't fit together perfectly. 
There is more to do to improve some aspects of the UI for flexible display and reporting.
The team have been supportive in finding solutions, and continue to improve the product.

What I like best is the ability to easily find and track projects from the pipeline to a live project and also to be able to see how many projects the client has previously commisionned along with their value.

The only downside is that CMAP is web based, which can mean that on the (very odd) occasion there can be issues with connectivity, either at CMAP's end our ours!

Being able to track and record multiple data streams and get a snapshot of the business at any point.

It can be a bit overwhelming to being with as there is so much data and different ways of viewing it. The reporting tool, whilst very powerful,  could be more intuative.

CMAP gets you more than enough data parameters to feed, so you can extract almost any type of report at the other end.
It does not require you to feed all initial data at once. It will still function and most of the elements you can feed in retrospectively.

If you want the deeper, more comprehensive analysis, you need to spend some proper time learning how to do it. Sometimes you wish it's less proficient, so you can get away with not doing it all the way - and no, cannot do.

To be honest I can't really think of real downsides.  We did need to become far more disciplined about how we recorded opportunities, time and resources but that was the point of investing in the first place

CMAP can make a massive difference to the business.  It does require processes and disciplines to make it work so an organisation needs to ensure it is ready to make the changes needed to get benefit from the investment.

Like the flexibility of creating a dashboard which provides me information I  want to see every day instantly when i go into CMAP. I also like the simplicity of how the budget vs actual shows on the project templates, quick visual access to spend vs target

Nothing is perfect, CMAP is close but little things irritate me like the edit function when making amends on budgets and not being able to put in a timesheet at the start of the year for holidays which means I need to remember to do it on my last day before AL. Also not sure if you can set the currency you want to see revenue in but because i work in Ireland, it automatically gives me EUR spend on project reports and i need to remember to edit it to GBP

We are starting to get to a place where we can standardize reports we want to look at regularly. It takes time to embed CMAP and ensure the team are using it effectively so the data is accurate

I enjoy how easy the program interface is and how I can track the progress of the jobs I am working on, giving me a clearer outline and the "bigger picture of the project".

I find adding fields for the timesheet a little harder to understand, and if this is wrong it causes issues with the overall tracking of the project. Also, I would like to be able to review the work done during previous weeks.

CMAP has enabled a wider number of people in the practice to understand and monitor project finances. It allows us to identify and address any issues that come up with project finances, and test different resourcing options for later stages of a project.

It's harder to transition to CMAP mid-way through a project/project stage, but it's reassuring to know that it is possible to amend data that is brought in from earlier stages/other software later down the line to address any errors.

I do not like that there is no auto save entries in the Timesheet section. I often forget to press save and then will close the window in error. Auto save would be a good addition to this area.

CMap helps large firms keep a track of staffs times and resource expenditure for each project. It is user friendly (even for first time users) which saves time across the entire firm.

The fact that all essential business information is at your fingertips in a single integrated location is very convenient. Timesheets, linked directly to projects at every stage, linked to invoicing linked to 'leave' requests and just about everything important to get a snapshot of where you are at is a pleasure indeed.

Will be nitpicking if I had to try and think of a negative. The only negative is that as an architect I can't drawer using CMAP, haha.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

Having researched some 200+ options for ERP, PSA, CRM, project management, invoicing, and timesheet tools available in the market, I landed on CMap as the best option for a professional services tech company. It came the closest to achieving all desired use cases out of the box, without having to plug the gaps with awkward integrations with numerous other tools, or – worse yet – manual, complicated, and error-prone spreadsheets.

CMap finds that sweet spot between useful features, a simple and intuitive UI, with the ability to scale its platform as your company grows. CMap packs a mighty punch, without becoming the over-engineered mess some of its biggest competitors have become.

But it's not just the product that is great... CMap’s support team is first-class. Very responsive, very helpful, extremely knowledgeable about their product, and always willing to receive product feedback and add it to CMap's product roadmap for review. There’s been a few times where feedback we provided ended up being implemented in a future update to the platform.

One of the best business tools (and vendors) I have worked with.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

Nothing immediate comes to mind. Having used CMap for 5 years, it's been great to see the platform continue to evolve and improve.

We are currently implementing CMap at our company. I have successfully implemented CMap at a previous company as well, so can confidently say that CMap really does achieve what it promises.

In both cases, CMap has helped us untangle ourselves from the unnecessarily complex and manual processes we had for many areas across the company (operations/resourcing, sales pipeline, forecasting, finance, project management), and streamline everything through a single, coherent platform while giving stakeholders more accurate data and visibility into the business information that matters. Having better information ultimately helps us make better decisions as a business.

If your company has a heavy reliance on manual, over-engineered spreadsheets that are awkwardly integrated with a bunch of other tools, I highly recommend exploring CMap as a way to finally remove the fog.

**What do you like best about CMap?**

It's a powerful platform for managing the office, projects and reporting on the performance. The system has a broad set of tools, yet is fairly intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about CMap?**

Some tasks could certainly be streamlined by improving the UI/UX. For example, when putting together fee proposals in the fee estimator, each workstage can only be edited individually, but not as a whole job, forcing the user to click edit each time a specific number needs to be changed, then save, then edit again to fill in the following line. If all fields in each module were editable at once, and if they updated dynamically, you could see the result of changes to the numbers in real-time. This already is the case in the resource schedule, so it doesn't make sense to not include this functionality throughout the system. There is also an improvement to the resource manager, to sort by project, which is due to be released later this year and is long awaited.

Reporting on project profitability, creating custom reports to respond to senior management metrics and KPIs, allowing all project managers to see project performance so the whole office is working together to deliver our services efficiently.

As an employee, I find the app easy to navigate and use. The timesheet feature is handy and allows me to quickly record my work. I like that I can export my data as a report to Excel to follow up on my work hours.

It would be great if there was a way to filter and format the data in the reports, e.g. group by week. I do not like that the date range has Sunday as start of the week.
