"In general I do not have to spend a lot of time helping others use the site."
3.5/5
What do you like best about ClubExpress?

The fact that most of the work is done and I am basically stuck doing a few content updates, setting up blogs, explaining how to add photos and items to the forum. Resetting passwords and other management tasks seem to go fine once the proper approach is found in the software. On the few occasions when I have been unable to get something to work the staff quickly got back to me. Once with a workaround so I could do what the President of the Club wanted and other times with helpful information on how to do the necessary changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

I am a hacker at heart and generally don't read the manuals. Instead I try to do things by feel. There are several places in the site where the necessary controls were not obvious to me and I spent some time (hours or minutes not days) trying to locate the proper actions. Our club relies on donations so our dues are zero. This has confused several of our members when they join the website. Even though the document broadcasts shows they are a member and have paid the zero dollars; other spots in the boiler plate document seem to indicate they need to make a payment. It would be nice if there was a radio button that I could select that would send out a different email simply stating that they are now a member in good standing. What do you like best about ClubExpress?

Very few things that I like about ClubExpress. I will say their support is nice, but they are not friendly. If you want someone to do things for you instead of showing you how to do them, they are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

There is no way to customize URLs. The system does not work great with Google Analytics reports because URLs are a jumbled mess of letters and numbers. I do not find their interface easy to use from a user standpoint. They seem to excel in setting things up for you, but very little capabilities for you to make changes yourself. Their interface does not work well with copy and pasting content either, as there is no way to easily make your page text uniform and a similar font style. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As our group has grown, CE 's abilities have also expanded. We can directly attribute our membership boost to our decision to go with CE. We manage our membership renewals with ease because of the system. We save money on our accountants because of easy CR financial record keeping. Our calendar integrates easily into the email system and keeps us organized. The ability for our committees to communicate thru Forums is a timesaver. Using a CE web designer took us to a different level and our web presence looks as professional as our members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish Commitee chairpersons could attach files and photos to their member emails. Some members still get confused with Forum messages. The Volunteering section isn't as easy to work with as we had hoped. Auto renewal for membership is on our wish list! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClubExpress?

The well thought out and effective canned pages that also have the ability to be modified relatively easily to a specific club's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

Changes that are made the make it more difficult or time consuming to add emails or edit pages. Recent updates have caused us to use more steps to accomplish simple tasks, especially with email and events. Editors used are clunky and don't provide an auto-save feature. I find myself constantly saving and then reopening works in progress to avoid losing work in a failure or by mistake. Communications is our biggest issue and my aging members don't really understand the abilities this platform gives them. I am constantly having to remind them "you can do this yourself" on a Forum. "Wonderful product that offers many necessary options for small clubs and larege."
5/5
What do you like best about ClubExpress?

Club Express had a reachable team of staff who make up the support area. They are always available via telephone and if busy, have a method where you can leave your number and they will call you back. Plus if your question is something you just don't understand, they take the time to go with you step by step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

I would like it to be possible to speak to the same support person about a problem I might have and who has helped me before. Especially if I am just learning how to do something and find I need to call back as I work on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A bit antiquated and not that easy to use"
1.5/5
What do you like best about ClubExpress?

Nice approach to non-profits and topic organizations with basic tools for setting up a website, however the functions and layouts are a bit out of date. If you don't really want to put effort into your site design and just have some basic tools, it's probably not that bad. Tutorials were pretty good to explain how some functions worked on setting up a new site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

As noted before, the functions are a bit antiquated and it is hard for users to navigate some features. If you want to customize the look of the site or do some special presentation, prices seem to run about 3 times what it would take to hire someone to create a good site from other for hire contracting sites. "Good website to use, but..."

What do you like best about ClubExpress?

As long as someone else is doing the programming and using the online editor to create documents and pages on a ClubExpress website, it is very easy for an ordinary person to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

The new(ish) drag/drop element editor sucks hard-boiled ostrich eggs. I was very happy with the old one where one could insert images within the text, but now that's just not possible. It's above/below the text or not at all. Period. Plus the variety of fonts has decreased, giving a document such as a newsletter much less of an individual look. (Of course, if you're going for 100% professional, no imagination, no surprises, then by all means, keep going with that editor.) Having to pull the elements in whenever you want to insert something is a royal pain, not to mention most inconvenient. Also, is there ANY way you can make it accessible to people who work on the move with their phones or tablets? when the editor is maximized, it covers the entire screen, and is IMPOSSIBLE to work with! Get with the program folks. Come into the 21st century. Make improvements to your communications portion which really help people communicate, instead of simply teaching the users of your ridiculous editor how to swear.

I compose the newsletter for the club to which I belong, which uses ClubExpress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OVERWHELMINGLY COMPLICATED"
3/5
What do you like best about ClubExpress?

Not bad application for managing a yacht club. Lots of information (club info, membership, events, registrations, photos, videos, and sales) can be captured all in one application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

Access to the information captured in this application is not intuitive. Performing any task (creating an event, writing an email/newsletter, setting up a webpage) the first time is incredibly time consuming. Club Express does not follow any of industry wide conventions. The finished product looks good, but only if you are willing to invest the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I am the IT manager for our outdoor club of 700 hikers/climbers"

What do you like best about ClubExpress?

What I like best is that, most often, I can figure out what I need to do because the website Control Panel is intuitive. This helps me a lot when I need to do different tasks. And, when I get really stumped, the email responses to questions are very prompt and helpful from ClubExpress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

The only things I dislike are that it takes a long time to learn everything. I don’t think there’s a way to avoid this. It just takes time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Changed our club for the better!"
5/5
What do you like best about ClubExpress?

We're a small club of about 60 members and before Club Express our communication was dismal...group e-mails and distribution lists. With Club Express as our new information hub, we're able to share documents, calendar, process payments, communicate with forums...and that's just the beginning. Implementing Club Express was the best things we've done in a long while to improve our club. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubExpress?

There really isn't anything we dislike about Club Express. Really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
