## About ClubExpress
ClubExpress provides associations with an Internet platform to manage both front-office and back-office operations. ClubExpress combines the association website with the membership database, secure online member signup, renewals and expirations, credit-card processing, membership directory, discussion forums, event calendar and online registration, E-commerce storefront, committees, documents, interests and other modules based on what clubs and associations do. The platform includes a full suite of administration tools to run the organization. There is no programming or HTML experience required; everything is controlled by menus and dialog boxes, and all changes are immediately live. We use state-of-the-art security, there's no advertising and associations own their data at all times.

## ClubExpress Reviews
 ### 1. Positive communication and support from a great staff!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie Culverhouse K. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I like the one-in-all features. You've got a membership database that links to events and also links to a non member database and let's get excited about the financial connection with QuickBooks. It makes my job as a single staff for a medium sized association much more efficient and productive!

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The widgets for the newsletter and some templates are not powerful or creative enough. This part is a bit behind the times, but they are developing new things and upgrading parts as fast as they can.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Highly recommend this product. It is a useful, efficient and cost effective tool for non profits or any organization!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a one-in-all website and database management solution has made by job more efficient, made me more productive and has provided benefits to the members of the association. This product is a wonderful tool and resource to a single staff or small staff organization!

 ### 2. Transformative Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave K. | Artisan, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

We have been using CE for 5 years and it has transformed how we do business. Our membership has increased by 50 percent and we do everything possible on the CE platform. We extensively use the email Photo and Calendar/Event modules. As webmaster I especially like the security options and that I can delegate certain pages and functions and not worry about some other part of the website being messed with. To top it off the documentation and support are stellar. I have never in my 35 years of messing with computers have I worked with a more responsive software provider. They are the best. Don't look any further for a club oriented software solution. CE has it all.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I would have to think hard to find any real dislikes. CE has implemented more and more ease of use features over the years and I expect that thay will continue to improve the product in the future.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do the bulk of club business communications and event registrations with this product. We also document via photos all events for the education and enjoyment of the club members. The members can also post their own photos as they desire.

 ### 3. Member management, communication, and functionality for photography club has been great.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The integration to manage member data and renewals, calendar events, the website, and email communication has significantly reduced the administrative time of our volunteers. ClubExpress's functionality is well thought out, mostly intuitive, and easy to use. Their contextual help and manual are detailed and up-to-date. Phone support has been fabulous.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

We had a few challenges in the set-up stage, but CE worked through them with us. Photo management could use improvement for sharing images and being able to submit photos for events, competitions, and reviews.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

It will still take your team a significant amount of time for set-up and learning the system even if you pay for help to implement. Start simple. We had board members super excited about lots of new functionality. Hold them back until all of the base functions are learned by their coordinators and a majority of members are in and using the system.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our club went from spreadsheet management of members with separate WordPress website and email programs to the single integrated platform. We are increasing our member size and adding activities using less volunteer time.

 ### 4. Good value, right functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** India L. | Freelance Digital Marketing Manager & Content Writer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

We choose Club Express because it met most of our needs. As a small cottage owners’ association, we don’t have a big budget for website maintenance, membership renewal and marketing activities. We had almost given up, thinking we would need to have a custom solution which would have been cost prohibitive. While CE isn’t the fanciest platform, and the user interface isn’t the best, it delivered all of the things we had been lacking, without too much headache getting migrated from our old website and getting up and running. I am a digital marketing professional by day, and I’ve seen lots of platform demos and used many technology solutions as a system administrator. I think CE offers a good compromise for any organization with an ongoing need for membership management. It’s a website platform, member database, offers a way to collect donations and a way to sell other intangible “products” like additional services, event tickets, and more. We especially liked the fact that CE offers a user portal where member info is self managed. Keeping member info up to date and ensuring we were communicating with our members about their renewal status and other services we offer was very very time consuming. Now that we are on CE we are able to do it all - in a fraction of the time. My one piece of advice for anyone new to CE: take time in the beginning to properly understand how it works, and take the time to properly configure many of the automations this platform offers. It will be automatic, but you have to set it up first. If you don’t take time in the beginning to do these things, then you will feel disappointment. Especially if you aren’t tech savvy, please understand that technology is only as good as the effort you put in. Once you do, you’re golden!

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Main thing I dislike is the administrative user interface. It is not intuitive and even for a digital marketing pro like me was really difficult to navigate without reading the guide. Seems sort of outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Take time to understand how it works and take time to configure your automations in the beginning!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Member self-management and automated renewal notices and other automations you can set up is the best aspect of this.

 ### 5. Great Application for All kinds of Clubs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marty J. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I really like the flexibility of the online app and it works great for multiple applications, wether you're a Ski club with 10 members of a Chess club with 200 members, this will work great on all fronts.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

It does take time to learn, it's not as easy and user friendly. There's definitely a learning curve but they have amazing support when you get stuck.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Yes, I definitely recommend Club Express, although not the easiest to use but it is so versatile and it will work for any club big or small. There are many more platforms out there and I have tried many of them and most of them are not as versatile, they are for specific types of clubs or organizations. This one (Club Express) is not only versatile but it is also ery affordable. It allows you to charge club members automatically via Credit Card or via Paypal. You can send messages to a specied group within the club or to all members. It also gives people (depending on the setup) the opportunity to try the club before joining, sort of like a trial version. The system has several modules that works really well. You also have some powerful statistics and reports that you can provide to your club board or even members.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, we have a film club and for a long time we were looking for a platform to that would work exactly how we want it to work and we've looked at several other platforms and they just didn't/couldn't do what we wanted it to do and this platform does a good job.

 ### 6. Great Product for Organizations and Clubs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zay R. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

ClubExpress has allowed our association to have a singular location for every facet of our work. It provides a place for us to connect with our members and keep them updated on news and events. Registrations for events, membership renewals, and all payment transactions go through the same portal. And, customer support has been outstanding.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

To be honest nothing big comes to mind as an answer to this question. I sometimes feel inadequate to make big changes to the main website but that is more a user deficit and not the system.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Take a good look at Club Express. I believe you will find an extremely valuable product that integrates all facets of business into one platform.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have all membership, joining and renewing, as a part of ClubExpress. We also have all event registrations and payments through CE. Everything we need as an association is contained within ClubExpress. I believe it has capabilities beyond what we are currently using. That's exciting to know that we can grow into even more functionality.

 ### 7. Excellent website for clubs. We kept it for years now

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard F. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

ClubExpress gives us the ability to have no-technical club members manage their own areas of the website without coding or special skills. Most clubs need this ability. We have kept it for many years now. Also, the pricing model of cents per month per registered club member is so cost effective.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Some programmers will tell me they dislike that its template and user friendly, which means they don't get to tinker with code. (too bad). A club is run by its members and we shouldn't need an IT degree.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Highly recommend for you to go for it. You won't look back and you won't regret it. This has been the easiest web site to maintain and still give rich functionality to our club members. Our Social Director manages all the events on the website, the sailing school director manages the school pages, the secretary manages all the email blasts to current members and I could go on. None of these people have programming or website skills. Easy to use, easy to setup and made for clubs. We have a stable and consistent web database for our club and a public website for visitors and potential new members.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Members log in to get events, pay their dues, find other members contact information to keep in touch. Share pictures, read the news. We also use it for the email blasts once a week, using all active members of our club website.

 ### 8. Club Express software review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob A. | Happily RETIRED😎👍😀🎉, Food & Beverages, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I love that it’s a multiple use program for different people in the organization. So for instance the membership Guy and whoever else is in membership team can know immediately if someone signed up and past,The Calendar feature is very good especially to have people notified, to have the website of the event in bedded into the calendar, and then you can register yourself or other members. Another feature I like is the ability to except photos directly into the program while we are still in our meeting. I believe the program is very feature to rich.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

This is difficult to say as I’ve only been stopped a couple times and when I was stumped I called Club Express and talk to their friendly customer service people and how do I answer within a couple minutes.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Get fast and reap the benefits.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem that I had was to use a sort of our membership database but it wasn’t one of the canned features so I called Club Express and they told me how to export it into another file which made it very workable for me. Again , contacting Club Express customer service is always a quick phone answer and a quick answer to your question.

 ### 9. A constant pain for site administrators

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ameya A. | Sr. Front End Developer (Contractor), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The integration of calendar, accounts, website and communications.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Website:
- The website and it's features are still in 2005-2006.
- As admins you have hardly any control over website design and customization. Simple aspects like custom URLs, URL aliases are not available. There is no sandbox/test environment to test your changes and the preview feature doesn't really do it's job.
- The site keeps adding extra line breaks, blank paragraphs, and divs.
- It is almost impossible to search images and documents. That search features needs a serious update.
- Instead of custom pages, it is better to let users create their own content types and manage pages.
- There is no documentation on what are the image size recommendations, also if you can add your custom JavaScript, if JQuery works on the site and how to inject it.

in one sentence - give admins more power.

Emails
- OMG, writing an email from the editor is a major test of patience. We are NOT in 1990s. Please please update that.
- You can't create custom user lists. It's always all or none.
- Creating lists is not an easy task in the system.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

There are better options out there. It is okay to put more money out rather than having a constant headache.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're trying to solve the problem of using one system to manage the communication, accounts and the website for Evanston Running Club.

Benefits - Clubexpress has these aspects but are not really usable/customizable. So at this moment - none.

 ### 10. Great back office software for club management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

As we are a small, non-techie office run by a Social Worker, it is extremely helpful to be able to call Club Express with questions. They always manage to help us find a solution and are very knowledgeable.
I also appreciate the fact that they are regularly updating and enhancing the software to make it more complete and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The biggest downside is the fact that Club Express is slow to add additional modules to assist us and at times, if they have already designed a module that we need to run our Village they charge extra for us to access the module as another Village paid for the development. Also, their donor module should. be updated. In addition, they recently removed a function for tracking volunteer hours and we have been informed we need to pay extra to get it back.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Examine all the available modules before committing

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ClubExpress helps us to manage our membership and track service usage as well as village involvement. We track attendance at events and also the amount of volunteer time spent.

 ### 11. Club Express has helps us in so many ways including better organization for our club

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dee D. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The ease in which to use the system for registrations, payments, organization for our members and board members. With using Club Express instead of spending hours documenting and depositing funds ongoing most of our members now pay online via credit card.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Mobile app is a bit awkward to use, difficult to switch from one event to another.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Club Express is a great website to use in allowing you to organize and safe time with various tasks.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organized Directory - ease of looking up a member, various reports on membership including new members, join dates, who has renewed and who hasn't.
Ease with financial reporting because Club Express has various different reports that can be accessed in only minutes. Credit card payments are collected by Club Express and deposited to our bank account several times a month. This is a big plus for the treasurer!

 ### 12. It's a mixed bag

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It does a lot, including sending out email blasts, offering a Forum, offering places to keep information (which are deeply hidden and, therefore, hard to find and useful only to those who are really experienced with computer programs).

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

CE takes getting used to. It is not intuitive, not like other applications. So one has to have a certain expertise to read all the icons, figure out how to use templates, how to change things on an email, jow to do anything.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are bound to CE b/c our original founder started with this application. It has a large variety of options, most of whichl I do not use. I am an occasional user, sending email blasts, keeping records, sending out Forum announcements. Once I get used to a process, I can do ok, but if I don't practice all the time, I lose the facility.

 ### 13. One site, multiple solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindy W. | Broker/Owner, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

We can keep all our contact information on the site until we delete it. Easy to have info in one place.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Site does so many things, it sometimes feels too complex. Also, not able to adapt to all of our needs.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Spend some time to learn it and it becomes easier. Get stuck, call or email the staff, they are very helpful.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a few problems to discuss but have not had time to focus on it. We have realized many benefits. The main one is the opportunity for people to RSVP to our events on the website and also to join on-line.

 ### 14. 2 Organizations that use-VERY Powerful tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The thing that I like about ClubExpress the best is that it is very flexible to the needs of the organization, especially with support. Any time we have ever needed anything for our group and can't figure out how to execute it on ClubExpress, we just contact them and our questions are answered.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I think that there are times that the interface is quite cumbersome to use and could be simplified. The tool is probably way more powerful than is really necessary for our group but I still think that things could have a better UI at times.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Make sure to do your diligence to ensure that this tool is the best to meet your needs before implementing

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to manage membership in our group, schedule events, collect dues, customize money collection for events and more!

 ### 15. 53 yr old club of about 250 active members

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary H. | Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

We use ClubExpress to register names and collect fees for races, symposiums, and outings. The information is then easy to gather for accounting and for projecting spending from year to year.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Other than keeping up with normal updates (many administrators use the site 4 times a year), we get feedback on using the calendar. It has improved, yet people still want to share it with other digital calendars.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

I would tell people to know what kind of administration functions are necessary, consider the growth in membership, ask about limits of email accounts for your board members, and expect a learning curve. For financial functions, your bookkeeper or account should understand the benefits and limitations.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Membership tracking is a breeze. Official documents can be managed in one central site, searchable by future board members.

 ### 16. Our experience with ClubExpress

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Their friendly customer support team. While they don't always have the answers we need or the product doesn't have the necessary capabilities. The team on the phone is always kind and helpful and respond in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I dislike the reporting capabilities. I find it very difficult to filter the information I need in the various reporting options.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

For membership and registration services it's a solid and easy to use product. However, if you are looking for robust reporting or the ability to filter reporting, it's either not available or a time consuming task. The emailing feature is also fairly limited in selected an audience.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We really like the new feature of being able to separate payment by member type. It has saved us time be removing an extra step in the registration process.

 ### 17. Robust Website with Good but not Great Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harold G. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Feature set. I can handle most of my member management from the website. As treasurer, the site handles billing and credit card payments fairly adroitly. I'd like some more ability to add features (for example, we offer discounted subscriptions, and some escrow management would be very helpful, but is not available).

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The user interface is not clean, and very linear. Titles of functions are not clear-cut, and a little experimentation is required to get what the user wants. Also, reporting is stellar from the viewpoint of options for output, but I would like to see some more robust report designer features.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to integrate family memberships after some trial and error, identifying both the primary and secondary members so each could be treated as individuals (instead of both as a couple).

 ### 18. Great Software for running our own Ski and Summer events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger A. | Transit / Railroad Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The low cost with great features and relatively easy to use like signing and collecting payments. Fabulous phone assistance

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

it was not always as flexible as I would like. But I am sure that others out there with that are way more expensive and have more features than we could use or even justify buying. For us ClubExpress is a great fit

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

What more features do you want but do not currently have available like easy sign ups, paying in checks, accepting credit cards at minimal cost, have though about a front page that show what you are doing and is updated easilyvon a frequent basis.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting and depositing money, knowing how many are coming to events, able to restrict numbers when needed, great communications with our members and Board of Directors

 ### 19. An overall good set of useful tools.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura M. | Advisory Committee Chair, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I like that there are so many functions available and that Club Express is constantly evolving to make itself better.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Club Express can be difficult and complicated to figure out and use. You definitely need a point person who is willing to spend some time getting to know it.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Find someone who is likely to be able to develop a comfort level and help others to figure out how to use the website.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find it very useful in terms of composing and sending out emails and newsletters and I like the calendar.

 ### 20. Club Express is a great tool for Soroptimist Clubs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori R. | Board Member and Treasurer of the Soroptimist Golden West Region, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Club Express is a wonderful club management platform, as well as a great template for our public website. Their customer service is outstanding. I appreciate their monthly webinars and instructional videos. They listen to their customers that have suggestions for improvement

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

With all of the features available for clubs to use, it can seem a bit daunting for new users. It takes a knowledgeable user to guide a new user to understand which features they need and which ones they don't.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

This is a great platform for all aspects of Soroptimist Club management

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything is contained in one database: Document storage for our club; Member and non-Member management; Event management; online payments; direct Donations; Social media/Facebook interface; Newsletters; Quickbooks interface. We eliminated using Survey Monkey, Evite and Constant Contact.

 ### 21. The support is great, but the platform is old and complicated/antiquated for most of our users...

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryn M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The support is great...they can always answer questions and fix problems. The site does everything we need it to do, but it is unwieldy on the back end.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I need help with the content, and unfortunately most of my "help" won't learn it...it is complicated. Even my web staff hate it. You can see by the screenshot below that it is difficult to change the photos on the platform and keep the boxes current. It just isn't user friendly. The emailing platform has gotten easier at least, with templates and drag and drop.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Wait until they catch up with the rest of the websites out there...they could be great!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adding members is easy, as is storing data and searching our database and doing our reports/taxes/accounting.

 ### 22. Swim Club loving this platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather R. | Membership Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It's been most helpful to us that all of our information is in one place - membership, finances, events, calendars.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

As a facility that utilizes guest passes frequently, which I would imagine most clubs do, it's disappointing that Club Express does not have a tracking feature to purchase and use guest passes. That's been a HUGE barrier to our transition.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Complete the trial run, it's very helpful!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event sign-up and organization - we used to have to track and have members pay separately but now it's all in one place. Additionally, we can track membership year after year. Right now, it remains confusing, as most info is still in old system, but within 5 years it will all be together

 ### 23. Small Club ClubExpress User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary F. | Web Master, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

ClubExpress helps our group send out emails about upcoming events, club news, and member updates with a central location to send and catalog our messages.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Updates (i.e. email format) can be cumbersome for some of the club's coordinators with minimum technology expertise.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Be sure to know the technological base for the administrators and coordinators, and the knowledge level of your users.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our club is able to send members and prospective members to one location to find event information, contact information and news about the club.

 ### 24. Excellent Platform for Community and Membership Administration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shere H. | Administrative Coodinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The staff and support team at ClubExpress are wonderful to work with very responsive. We had them totally recreate our website using their various modules and it came out beautifully. The platform is well designed and not too difficult to learn. I think we made the right choice!

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

No complaints. Just making my way through the learning curve the first few months requires lots of time and experimentation but support is always there to help.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Check it out!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have a much more appealing site incorporating all of the functions we need: membership management, community forums, emailing capability for marketing purposes, event management, resource library, news feed, and advertising for our business members. Very satisfied with the results.

 ### 25. Club Express is perfect for us and it keeps getting better!

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It's difficult to choose what is the best aspect to Club Express. We use the calendar function for all of our social activities for registration, payments, etc. Also the membership function for renewals has really simplified the process. We actually paid to have a special report built so that we can print our directory every year in the format everyone was accustomed to seeing. We keep members and potential members informed about our youth programs and sailing on the web pages and we use email blasts to communicate everything from reminders to urgent needs. It has been really easy to set up and maintain. I had never done a website before and now I am a web master. I can't forget to mention how great the support is.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Club Express met most of our needs when we first made the decision in 2015 and most of the shortcomings have been removed with the new releases that have come out since. I have no dislikes, however our treasurer has some issues with the QuickBooks link.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small club (around 150 member families) that operates primarily in the summer. We have solved a major communications problem with Club Express by being able to easily keep everyone up to date on activities. We took a great deal of time out of the membership renewal process. The link to QuickBooks solved some accounting issues. We are all volunteer with no paid employees so making any job easier makes it easier to get volunteers.

**Official Response from Dan Ehrmann:**

> Sue, thank you for your kind words. We're almost finished adding support for QuickBooks Online, which many clubs and associations prefer to use. Expect to deploy this feature by the end of June, 2019.

 ### 26. Challenging, but worth the effort.

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Some of the technicians are highly intuitive and skilled. As a non IT professional it is often difficult to use nomenclature for effective communication. There are several Technicians on staff that have the ability to glean enough information to provide a quick and thorough resolution.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I find the 940 page manual overwhelming. It takes hours to search for needed information by accessing the manual only through the narrow identifiers given in the table of contents. There is not even an index for this vast collection of documentation. A search feature should be implemented for both the Manuals and you tube tutorials.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Be prepared to commit weeks of your time to learn the nuances of Club Express if you plan to build your own site. Patience is imperative. It takes a while to get a response from support. They usually respond within 24 hours, but sometimes it takes longer. No assistance is available on the weekends or after hours and unless you know exactly where and what to search for in poorly referenced documentation...tremendous effort and diligence is necessary to figure systems out on your own.In retrospect, I would recommend hiring CE to build your site. But perhaps all of this is by design to promote dependency and subsequent generated revenue by Club Express.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We chose ClubExpress to facilitate automation of our club dues.

**Official Response from Dan Ehrmann:**

> Teressa, thank you for your comments. One comment about the manual: there is an index beyond the Table of Contents at the beginning of the manual. In your PDF reader, you should be able to select View - Table of Contents and it will appear on the left side. If you're still having a problem, don't hesitate to call our toll-free number for support.

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I like the usability of Club Express, I appreciate the excellent customer service and the updates that they do on a frequent basis. I love the database for membership and the fact that it is quickbooks friendly. We have used it for several years now and I am a firm believer in the product and recommend it to other camera clubs that we have in our group. I also use Club Express in the camera club that I belong to, Monticello Camera Club and held a round table at our annual convention and recommended it to other clubs.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

sometimes the learning curve can be a little steep, some people just don't have the computer skills to navigate the control panel. I wish the photo albums had a little more "customizability" and that you had other sort options. The forums just don't get utilized and perhaps an update to the look and feel for the forums would improve participation

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

If you want a website that will manage your membership AND your events, this is the product for you. We have a council and sub-groups that utilize the software and are very satisfied. Club Express listens to their customers and improves their product on a regular basis.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to utilize the Event Module and the updates have been significant and appreciated. The calendar and the membership modules help us keep track of our members and I like the email reports.

**Official Response from Dan Ehrmann:**

> Lisa, thank you for your kind words.

 ### 28. Always Improving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Club Express provides our organization a way to serve members and volunteers alike! It is literally the backbone of our organization. I don't know what we would do without it. We are even switching over our website from Wordpress to Club Express so that we can better use more of their functions! We are all very excited to have a more fully integrated system and hopefully use many more of the functions CE has available to us.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Reporting is lackluster, but getting better! As I said, it's always improving! I hope there is a way to make changes to content on the website in the future and edit things before updating the entire system. A place to play and create prior to publishing would be incredible.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

We recently submitted a length list through Villages NW. It seems as though you have completed a number of our requests, too. I wish there was a way to see all system generated emails. I also wish that the service request number would populate before the screen disappeared. Additionally, it would be nice to have a pop up box stop users that have not saved the service request that have enter before exiting the screen. That would solve a lot of problems we have in our village office.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are constantly better able to solve the issues of our Village with using CE. The calendar, the events, the connection it provides with the use of a member forum, etc... The list goes on!

 ### 29. A much better solution than "rolling your own"!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce B. | National Service Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Aside from a great looking website, the support we get from Club Express is outstanding! Our onboarding involved moving hundreds of postings, articles and documents and it developing some custom scripts to accomadate our requirements. The CE team did a great job.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I really can't think of anything I disliked. If I had to come up with anything it's probabkly only because the change in how we were doing updates and postings is so different than before CE that there was a bit of a learning curve.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our membership, payments and donations with CE has been a breeze. Moderating our email chat groups also takes a lot less time from our all volunteer staff.

 ### 30. Great help for organizing organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It makes it easy to schedule services and keep track of activities. It is also very easy to record donations and create reports to show donations each month and year. There are lots of features, many that I haven't learned to use yet.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The reports are not intuitive. The titles for the reports don't necessarily allow user to know what information will be generated. There is a lot of trial and error in determining which report will provide the information I want. I wish there was a feature that allowed documents to be uploaded for the volunteer providers we have.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made it possible to schedule services for our members and get the request out to volunteers.

 ### 31. In general I do not have to spend a lot of time helping others use the site.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fishery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The fact that most of the work is done and I am basically stuck doing a few content updates, setting up blogs, explaining how to add photos and items to the forum. Resetting passwords and other management tasks seem to go fine once the proper approach is found in the software. On the few occasions when I have been unable to get something to work the staff quickly got back to me. Once with a workaround so I could do what the President of the Club wanted and other times with helpful information on how to do the necessary changes.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I am a hacker at heart and generally don't read the manuals. Instead I try to do things by feel. There are several places in the site where the necessary controls were not obvious to me and I spent some time (hours or minutes not days) trying to locate the proper actions. Our club relies on donations so our dues are zero. This has confused several of our members when they join the website. Even though the document broadcasts shows they are a member and have paid the zero dollars; other spots in the boiler plate document seem to indicate they need to make a payment. It would be nice if there was a radio button that I could select that would send out a different email simply stating that they are now a member in good standing.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I volunteered to manage the website, I am retired and the amount of time I have to spend to have this valuable resource for our club is minimal. We have over 150 members who are on the website.

 ### 32. Would not recommend to anyone.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Very few things that I like about ClubExpress. I will say their support is nice, but they are not friendly. If you want someone to do things for you instead of showing you how to do them, they are great.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

There is no way to customize URLs. The system does not work great with Google Analytics reports because URLs are a jumbled mess of letters and numbers. I do not find their interface easy to use from a user standpoint. They seem to excel in setting things up for you, but very little capabilities for you to make changes yourself. Their interface does not work well with copy and pasting content either, as there is no way to easily make your page text uniform and a similar font style.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Consider another option that is easier to use, such as Wordpress.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've learned that simply asking for what I want done is easier than me trying to solve the issue myself however this is not always ideal.

 ### 33. Years of Satisfaction

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

As our group has grown, CE 's abilities have also expanded. We can directly attribute our membership boost to our decision to go with CE. We manage our membership renewals with ease because of the system. We save money on our accountants because of easy CR financial record keeping. Our calendar integrates easily into the email system and keeps us organized. The ability for our committees to communicate thru Forums is a timesaver. Using a CE web designer took us to a different level and our web presence looks as professional as our members.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I wish Commitee chairpersons could attach files and photos to their member emails. Some members still get confused with Forum messages. The Volunteering section isn't as easy to work with as we had hoped. Auto renewal for membership is on our wish list!

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

It is a timesaver and a money saved and as one of the largest Leagues in the nation, we need their expertise.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we can offer so much, our weekly newsletter created in the CE system has become a huge benefit. It allows members to easily connect with each other, reserve their events, donate to us, etc etc

 ### 34. Good Overall Solution for Groups Needing a Website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The well thought out and effective canned pages that also have the ability to be modified relatively easily to a specific club's needs.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Changes that are made the make it more difficult or time consuming to add emails or edit pages. Recent updates have caused us to use more steps to accomplish simple tasks, especially with email and events. Editors used are clunky and don't provide an auto-save feature. I find myself constantly saving and then reopening works in progress to avoid losing work in a failure or by mistake. Communications is our biggest issue and my aging members don't really understand the abilities this platform gives them. I am constantly having to remind them "you can do this yourself" on a Forum.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Do your due diligence in determining if it provides all of the features you need to run your organization.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with members is always critical to any club. The email capabilities provided by this product simplify communications.

 ### 35. Wonderful product that offers many necessary options for small clubs and larege.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Club Express had a reachable team of staff who make up the support area. They are always available via telephone and if busy, have a method where you can leave your number and they will call you back. Plus if your question is something you just don't understand, they take the time to go with you step by step.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I would like it to be possible to speak to the same support person about a problem I might have and who has helped me before. Especially if I am just learning how to do something and find I need to call back as I work on.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Take your time in doing the set up and read everything. Take notes. Whenever you have an update, go online and sign up for the webinars and use that information to help you. AND when you have a problem, call the support folks.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was working on creating a new event registration, and no matter what I did, it did not turn out correctly or give me the questions I wanted. During a system upgrade some items changed and I wasn't sure how to use them. I called for assistance and the person I spoke with walked me thru the process and made me realize I needed to be aware of the process as a whole rather than look at only one part. When I looked at what I was doing from the beginning and began to build from the bottom up, it worked like a charm. I was thrilled and I certainly learned how to see more than just what was in front of my face.

 ### 36. A bit antiquated and not that easy to use

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Nice approach to non-profits and topic organizations with basic tools for setting up a website, however the functions and layouts are a bit out of date. If you don't really want to put effort into your site design and just have some basic tools, it's probably not that bad. Tutorials were pretty good to explain how some functions worked on setting up a new site.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

As noted before, the functions are a bit antiquated and it is hard for users to navigate some features. If you want to customize the look of the site or do some special presentation, prices seem to run about 3 times what it would take to hire someone to create a good site from other for hire contracting sites.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Price out your requirements with other providers and contractors and review cost of ownership and ease of use to update and maintain a website.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stood up a non profit site with some basic features, but things got prohibitively expensive as the site wanted to update.

 ### 37. Good website to use, but...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

As long as someone else is doing the programming and using the online editor to create documents and pages on a ClubExpress website, it is very easy for an ordinary person to use.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The new(ish) drag/drop element editor sucks hard-boiled ostrich eggs. I was very happy with the old one where one could insert images within the text, but now that's just not possible. It's above/below the text or not at all. Period. Plus the variety of fonts has decreased, giving a document such as a newsletter much less of an individual look. (Of course, if you're going for 100% professional, no imagination, no surprises, then by all means, keep going with that editor.) Having to pull the elements in whenever you want to insert something is a royal pain, not to mention most inconvenient. Also, is there ANY way you can make it accessible to people who work on the move with their phones or tablets? when the editor is maximized, it covers the entire screen, and is IMPOSSIBLE to work with! Get with the program folks. Come into the 21st century. Make improvements to your communications portion which really help people communicate, instead of simply teaching the users of your ridiculous editor how to swear.
I compose the newsletter for the club to which I belong, which uses ClubExpress.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can keep up well with our members

 ### 38. OVERWHELMINGLY COMPLICATED

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Maritime | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Not bad application for managing a yacht club. Lots of information (club info, membership, events, registrations, photos, videos, and sales) can be captured all in one application.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Access to the information captured in this application is not intuitive. Performing any task (creating an event, writing an email/newsletter, setting up a webpage) the first time is incredibly time consuming. Club Express does not follow any of industry wide conventions. The finished product looks good, but only if you are willing to invest the time.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Talk to other users of the application before investing the time and money. The learning curve on this product is an uphill battle.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the Club Express application to run a yacht club. We collect membership dues & info, create events, write newsletters, and sell items through our ship's store. The only real benefit is only needing to login to one application to access the info.

 ### 39. I am the IT manager for our outdoor club of 700 hikers/climbers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frosty G. | Substitute Teacher, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

What I like best is that, most often, I can figure out what I need to do because the website Control Panel is intuitive. This helps me a lot when I need to do different tasks. And, when I get really stumped, the email responses to questions are very prompt and helpful from ClubExpress.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The only things I dislike are that it takes a long time to learn everything. I don’t think there’s a way to avoid this. It just takes time.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

ClubExpress is very helpful and supportive before implementation AND after!

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot! We now accept payments AND have voting online! This saves us so much time and money!! We love these features!

 ### 40. Changed our club for the better!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim B. | Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

We're a small club of about 60 members and before Club Express our communication was dismal...group e-mails and distribution lists. With Club Express as our new information hub, we're able to share documents, calendar, process payments, communicate with forums...and that's just the beginning. Implementing Club Express was the best things we've done in a long while to improve our club.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

There really isn't anything we dislike about Club Express. Really.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Don't wait.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication on on-line presence.

 ### 41. Great support and documentation. Site create with ClubExpre is generally easy to use and maintain.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I like the easy menu systems and graphical interface for administration, fees, and events.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Editing the content with their built in HTML editor is difficult. Getting other users to engage with the forums has been hard.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Try to keep your data as updated as possible and respond to all user questions as soon as possible.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing the maintenance of the User Info is great. Being able to do accurate postal mailings is saving us money.

 ### 42. Great product for a niche market

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Cluib Express is a great product for the village platform. Incorporating all the necessary components to be successful. We were able to set up a user to have administrative coordinator access so we were able to delegate the management of the system to them.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

We were one of the very few Canadian customers, so the financial aspect of Clubexpress was not applicable for us. That was our main problem, having them not able to take payments for club members so we used a different system to accomplish that need for us.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Like earlier in my review, I recommend ClubExpress for membership programs. If you are slightly technical the setup isn't that problematic and the support should be able to provide you with the solution to any issues that arise during the implementation process.

We were able to get it functional and setup within a couple weeks, worked well for our needs. The Canadian market is pretty slow right now so the US seems to be where the most of the 'clubs' and other large orgs actually exist. Still waiting to see how the market develops in Canada, likely be a few more years before it really starts to take off.

Either way, should work for you.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the problem of keeping a centralized DB of our members, event calendar, etc. Using one or two staff to manage the system was also quite handy, everything worked out very well for us after that.

 ### 43. Fabulous Platform for Website Build and Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Club Express is easy to understand. It is built in chunks and allowed our organization to build out and customize and time goes along. This was important to us since we were in the process of re-branding our group. And great customer service.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

There is nothing I dislike - it was a challenge moving from one platform to another however ClubExpress site is definitely modern and up to date, and allows for phone app functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Great customer service team; very pleasant to work with and understood our needs. As an organization that was looking to re brand ourselves, they assisted us through the process and allowed us to make the final decisions and test appropriately. Our organization loves the fact that this is app compatible and individuals use it all the time on their phones. The user guides are simple to understand and provide clear direction.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to connect multiple members with various sites. Our organization currently has 5 chapters and we can connect them to a main chapter and affiliated chapters. This provides personalization and makes people feel more like part of the organization.

 ### 44. ClubExpress - Good, but could be great

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

ClubExpress is an exceptional multi-functional platform that services the needs of our nonprofit organization. My favorite feature that I like the best is the website maintenance. It's intuitive and user friendly. With my organization, we make updates regularly to content on the website and uploading flyers. This feature allows me to get this done in no time.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

I dislike how ClubExpress is not customizable. There are many features like forums, emailing and events that should cater to the organization needs. I have expressed my dislike but did not receive any feedback. Here are a list of the requests:
* Ability to set the email address for new member credentials or password resets to an email we designate vs support@clubexpress.com
* Ability to set registration limits for various registrant types: I want to allow 20 “active members” to register and 30 “non-members” to register
* Ability to create shortcut links (like bit.ly links) for events
* Setting preferences for Forums to email you should be a one step process in the “My Forum Preferences” without having to go into profile to enable email.
* Event creation takes too long to show up on the calendar. Updates to events are not seen immediately.
* Membership directory should have a downloadable feature. Either into an excel document or pdf.
* Fifteen minute delay in email posting. How can we get the messages immediately?
* Ability for Event Registrants to see their Question responses on the confirmation page of registration for an event
* Ability to have Ad hoc forms emailed out
* Notifications when there are messages to approve sent via email from on the forum homepage.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

My recommendation for other considering is to do your research to understand the product that you are purchasing. There are some many features available through ClubExpress and you can possibly cancel another subscription because ClubExpress offers it. Try to keep everything under one location. It's easier on you and the members.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to ClubExpress, we had several platforms managing our members, website, financials and communication. ClubExpress has saved us time and money by allowing all of these features to be placed in one locations. We are also able to have multiple admin and users without an additional fee. Our memberships are satisfied with having one login to perform all those tasks.

 ### 45. Worked for years

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark E. | IT Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It does all the heavy lifting for the club - great communications tools, requires no programming

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Could use a technological makeover - most sites get refreshed, this one is stale.
Posting updates should be a bit easier for the admins (facebook and instagram are just way easier there)

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

It's a great tool to manage and communicate with the membership and a simple way to sign up. Would prefer single sign on-like capabilities with Facebook or Google - folks just tend to forget their passwords

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can keep track of members and have regular e-mail communications. Would like posting to be integrated with Twitter/Facebook. Post it on our site and use the API's

 ### 46. THE PLEASURE OF CLUBEXPRESS

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

I love the Customer Service.
I love the way the website looks and feels.
It is fairly easy to use and there are videos to help.
I love the email blast reminders.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

So MANY steps to make a simple event!
The website "flutters" when I use it on Windows Edge.
It can't handle "self" populate for addresses on renewals, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

If your organization is looking for a product that is fairly easy to use, that organizes your events and membership, reaches out via email and is affordable, I recommend ClubExpress. I can't imagine our organization the way it was before we joined Club Express.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Membership renewal, event registration organization. Increased membership renewals

 ### 47. ClubExpress Helps Manage our Organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee R. | Senior Program Manager, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

Before ClubExpress, we did not even know who all are members were, who paid their dues or when things were happening at the Club. We have been using ClubExpress for just over a year and the membership is more engaged. We have views of who our members are, when their membership is due and when they have paid. Events are easy to organize and collect registration data. Surveys are simple and allow us to interact with the membership.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

Could use a way to easily click to send an invoice to a single member. Need easy way to email a single member.
Would like a common editor between New Articles & Emails.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

Try it out first and make sure it meets your needs.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Member insight has been solved with ClubExpress.
Organization of events with registration and payment is a breeze now.

**Official Response from Dan Ehrmann:**

> Lee, thank you for your kind words and suggestions.

 ### 48. Lots of features, but clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

First off, the service team is excellent. That makes all the difference. Secondly, CE has a ton of features - pretty much every possible thing you could think of or want.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

The main problem is the user interface. Adding features over time has resulted in a lot of bloat, and figuring out how to do certain things can be unintuitive. It would benefit from a ground-up redesign of the interface, but keeping the functionality it has now.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to migrating to CE the association was running off Excel spreadsheets. CE greatly streamlines everything and introduces functionality that is very nice to have, like online membership renewals and resource scheduling.

 ### 49. Good club manager but there is a learning curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

It does everything we need - signs up members, sends renewal emails, maintains member and nonmember data base so we can email people even if not members. Also takes payment and transfers $s to our bank account. Last an maybe biggest, it serves as our website.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

It’s a bit hard to learn - though customer service is very good at answering questions and helping you even with dumb questions.
I don’t think the website is as beautiful as some WordPress sites. But it serves the purpose.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Members and paid events

NOTE: I use clubexpress as part of my volunteer job not Kiewit. BUT... I can't change my organization.

 ### 50. Recommend Club Express

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ClubExpress?**

The website for our club was somewhat easy to use. If assistance was needed, the response was most helpful.

**What do you dislike about ClubExpress?**

It would be nice to have more front-page options (e.g.,header) to provide more variety for our club site.

**Recommendations to others considering ClubExpress:**

This is a valuable, recruitment tool for our yacht club. It has resulted in communication and, in some case, the addition of new members. I highly recommend Club Express.

**What problems is ClubExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The online membership directory is most helpful as well as keeping members up-to-date on happenings at our club. If you don't have have the paper version of the newsletter, the same information can be accessed on an iPhone or another device.
