**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

Club Automation is very different from our previous software, but after using the new software for 6 months now, it has streamlined our business and saved me time each day! The software is great and manages our busy gym business very well.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

The personal training schedule- we came from using Mindbody for that portion of our business and Club Automation is pretty antiquated compared to Mindbody, however I have heard that a scheduling update is coming soon!

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using Club Automation, we were using two different software companies to manage our business. Since switching to Club Automation, I have been able to decrease my overall workload and our business runs smoother.

It is very easy to schedule lessons and see the court sheet without having to always call in and check availability. Saves time on both sides

It does not work well at all on cell phones via safari. If there is an app, I have  not tested it out yet.

I like how Club Automation is simple to use and runs very smoothly. The software makes my job a lot easier on a daily basis. I also value the user report, as it allows me to track our current membership sign-ups every day, weekly, and monthly. The initial setup was very easy.

The notes could be improved by being easier to find on each member's account.

I use Club Automation to track members and create new memberships easily. It simplifies my daily tasks, offering smooth operation and helpful user reports to monitor membership sign-ups.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

Club Automation makes all our processes so much easier. It's seamless integration across all the different areas of our business makes my job as membership manager so efficient.  It's an email platform, a payment processing platform, a reporting tool, a member management platform & a court booking system all in one. The customer support is also incredible - I have never struggled to contact someone and get the information I needed to execute.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

I wish the member side and the member portal was a little more streamline. The app is great for many areas but doesn't completely give the customer the control they would like.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of them! It sounds so silly but we were using 5 different platforms before to manage our membership base and this has streamlined all of them.  It makes the communication with our members so much simpler and brought us into the 21st century!

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

I find Club Automation really helpful because everything we need for our clients is on one software. I love being able to see my entire week's schedule on one screen, along with the entire facility's schedule. I like that it is web-based, so I don't have to download anything on my computer or device. I also appreciate that the new scheduler is compatible with the app, allowing me to see my schedule and schedule clients from the app, not just the web browser. While the new scheduler still has a few kinks, I overall like the new version. The initial setup was pretty easy, and even though it took me a few days to get the hang of the features, it's pretty self-explanatory in my opinion.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

On the new scheduler specifically: I would like to be able to see the blocked time specifications, and not just see the words 'blocked.' I want to see why I blocked that time. Secondly, I want to be able to repeat blocked times. Right now, I can repeat personal training sessions for multiple days or weeks, but I cannot repeat blocked times. As of right now, those are the two biggest things that I have an issue with, as do most of my coworkers because we use the blocked time feature often for meetings.

I use Club Automation to have everything needed for our clients in one software. It helps me see my week's schedule along with the facility schedule on one screen, making scheduling personal training, group classes, and admin tasks easier.

I really like the interface. We came from CSI, so the club automation/rec automation side is much easier to navigate, and it doesn’t look like a dinosaur.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

No locker module for our operation; check in system does not connect to our controlled access point. There is also no master schedule to show everything that is going on in our building for the entire day, including rentals, fitness classes, etc - you have to go area by area.

Member access, online payments (revenue generation is a priority for our department). Communication center makes it easy to reach out to member base and students

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

I use Club Auto frequently (multiple times a week) at the sports club I work at being both a front desk clerk and a membership representative. I really like the membership system, it is intuitive and provides all the information you need in one or two screen and allows you to see everything at a glance. It also allows for easy customer support, being able to quickly find what I need makes troubleshooting quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

I think some of the UI is a little bit dated, which I know they are fixing with updates. It would also be cool to have a computer application or desktop application instead of a web browser for more legitimacy.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping with member management and billing, making sure that all of our members have accurate, recorded billing as well as tracking data like membership age, type, how many accounts, etc.

I don't like anything about Club Automation. I find it to be the worst company I've ever used in my professional career. They don't honor their commitments, and there's no one ever to communicate with. People don't return phone calls, there's always a different account rep, and I don't receive information when I ask for a payoff. There's zero customer service, and they're only good when trying to sell the software and collect money. The initial setup sucked.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

I love how Club Automation doesn't just solve problems, but it effectively runs the entire operation for our tennis, pickleball, racquetball, and fitness center, allowing us to fulfill our daily tasks efficiently. Its navigation is exceptionally easy to use, which is crucial when working in such a dynamic environment. I appreciate that it offers a simple and straightforward user experience, as having an uncomplicated system is beneficial for productivity. Additionally, the initial setup of Club Automation was very easy, reflecting its user-friendly approach.

I feel like the appearance of Club Automation could use some work. It's just not appealing and seems blocky, like a first version. This aspect knocks off two points from my overall rating.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

I truly appreciate the outstanding support team at Club Automation, which has been phenomenal from the very beginning. The onboarding experience was exceptional, and the continuous excellent customer service is a noticeable improvement over what we had with our legacy system. I love the fact that I can directly reach out and have someone troubleshoot our issues promptly. Even in challenging situations, the support team ensures we arrive at agreeable solutions, which has been fantastic. From my team's perspective, the platform has greatly enhanced our operations, especially in managing tennis and pickleball activities. The ease of booking courts, adding pros, and managing clients is remarkably superior compared to our previous system. Club Automation’s ability to streamline these processes has been a game-changer for us.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

I find it frustrating that we cannot sell packages of guest passes that don't require signing into a specific class, especially for situations like holidays when we want to offer such packages more flexibly. Another issue is the reporting features, which I feel could be more user-friendly, particularly for onboarding new staff. It would be incredibly helpful if there were straightforward reports that didn't require extensive filtering, such as viewing all memberships and their expiration dates or upcoming payments without having to dig through too much data. Additionally, the setup process of Club Automation was not straightforward; it was very time-consuming and could have benefited from a shared workspace for easier management of materials and progress, particularly given our use of Google Suite as opposed to Teams.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Club Automation to automate pricing and discounts for memberships, simplifying court rentals and reducing manual tasks. It enhances client feedback through web and app services, and supports our daily operations across multiple entities.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

-Our Customer Service Manager - John Staufer is the best!   Having a one-on-one person available to us with regular meetings was necessary from the beginning.   We are very happy with this program.   We can address our needs without calling the customer number constantly.
   
-Creating Profiles - very easy

-Registering for programs - very easy

-Reporting - very helpful

-User Groups are easy to understand

-Check in process is very easy

-POS reports are simple to navigate

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

-Too many steps when changing a membership

-We're unable to manually change the status from Expired, Cancelled, etc (system pulls old info, not always the most current)

-Communication  Center - still needs a little help.  Some features are not working properly (ie. emailing primary member - if this worked, it would be much easier to email parents of our under 18 membership population regarding programs, etc)

-It would be nice to see the POS pull all combined charges to the main member - if we need to apply charges to other family members, they either get put in as a payment on account or are charged separately on each profile.

-It would be nice if we could see the NOTES on the first part of the profile page, not just at check in.  Notes tab is good but it doesn't always get referred to when bringing up a profile

-Should decline or flag if duplicate emails are in the system on multiple profiles.

-Wished we had more time during our roll out to go through data in our system - we would have liked more time to "clean up" our old system before we launched our new CA .  Also, mention to new customers not to roll out new system on billing day.

Better reporting than our previous system!

I love that Club Automation offers front and center for support for our team. The company is constantly listening to our feedback and making updates that improve our user experience, both for our members and employees. Also, having John Staufer is the best thing we could ask for! CA is easy to use and train on, so that we can roll out camps and programs with little to no business interruption.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

I don't dislike anything about CA. The support we receive and updates are great. We trust that CA will listen to our feedback and will continue to grow with us as we do.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Club Automation streamlines the process for our members to register for classes and programs, as well as manage their memberships. As the Business Manager, I can run all financial reporting with ease. I trust the reporting, and transferring data to Quickbooks is easier than ever.

I love the staff! They are always so friendly and helpful. If they don't have an immediate answer to my question or issue, they will go above & beyond to figure it out for me.  Every team member has been a joy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

So far, I haven't had a downside with Club Automation. It would be nice to be able to run the EFT Billing again when I wanted to, instead of having to manually run each credit card to collect unpaid balances.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Club Automation has helped me on billing mistakes, refunds, navigating in Club Automation, etc. I'm learning to have more confidence when dealing with Club Automation. Having a live CA team member available to ask questions is wonderful. The CA team always make me feel supported.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

It is very easy to use and navigate through, the integration of being able to have personal training sessions along with regular memberships and purchases is absolutely amazing! You have everything all together, making it easy to differentiate different types of memberships. Creating a membership is a breeze, so is cancelling or holding one. It is also so nice to have a customizable home screen.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

I would love to see an improvement in our POS, to possibly be able to upload images of different products in case for example a product flavor is unclear or the barcode isn't working. Sometimes there are glitches when trying to go to someone's POS straight from the home screen. After clicking a person's name sometimes it will pull up a Non-member Sale, rather than being on the person's account with their credit card attached.

We are finally able to integrate our personal training center and memberships together, rather than using two different softwares. Everyone's in the same place with their billing information which is really nice, especially when people want to buy something from us.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

Club Automation is reasonably intuitive and is capable of managing several aspects of our business at once. As an Operating System I appreciate that we can use CA to generate our business, bill and collect revenue from business generated, and track payroll for our staff who conduct our business.  Essentially this is all tied together in CA.   I can logically follow the thread of a transaction through it's entire cycle.  I also feel that CA is relatively easy to learn and easy to teach staff how to use.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

The unexplained or unresolvable 'glitches' in the system can be quite frustrating.  Often the system does not do what it is designed to do for no clear reason.  And we have experienced frustration over the years in working through these glitches.  Customer Service can be spotty during these times in our experience.  Also, when CA makes a weekly update, often certain features are 'changed' without our knowlege and not put back to its original function.

Club Automations customer support is the best I have experienced in 39 years as a managing partner. Their general support is professional, complete and knowledgeable in every aspect. The help I have received from our dedicated customer experience manager was absolutely fantastic and a virtual partner in helping to operate multiple clubs.

Some of the format doesn't align exactly to our club operation and is always evolving which helps and will eventually be perfect.

It's a good system for what our organization needs.

Ever since an update a few months ago it's more difficult to locate a member in CA.  it used to pull right up with a few letters, now you basically have to type out the entire name a few different times before it will register and pull up the member.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't seen or know of problems, just know that there seems to be quirks after they update or try to fix a problem.

The layout is simple and easy to follow. We're able to modify names of user groups as needed.

The monthly statements are difficult to interpret and membership reps spend a lot of time explaining them to our members. It would also be helpful if there was a section for self teaching/video learning section on how to run different type of reports or common fixes/work arounds.

CA has great onboarding and training to where you feel you are up to speed and knowledgable about the product from the start. They also style the software to fit your individual needs so you aren't paying for things you don't use. Their support is fabulous too!

Not a lot of downfalls. The calendar functionality is a bit time consuming for trainers to schedule events but that is not a big deal.

We needed more customer outreach. Engage Pro helps us communicate and engage with our members, with automated emails and texts. Our website is professional and effective with a lot of calls to action. Reporting (kpi's) are detailed and easy to read. Simplicity for our desk staff to sign up new members.

The schedule for all the classes is easy to view.

We use CA for our group exercise schedule. It is too time consuming to add classes to the schedule. Too many steps are needed to cancel a class. There are updates to improve, those updates last a couple weeks and then back to the old stuff. Not user friendly at all.

none... an initial update was done to help ease the process to cancel a class but that was short lived. the next update erased that.

I love how we can email or text members.  The sign in is easy for our members when getting to the club.  The customer service is AWESOME!!!

There are too many steps when entering in clients.  I wish that it was integrated with Outlook or a personal calendar.  I REALLY don't like that my instructors have to take roll in their classes even though the members check into the front desk.

Club Automation's scheduler has been the most helpful aspect of the software. It allows us to fit systems into our business rather than our business into systems. 
Club Automation has allowed our club to implement new programs with ease while solving pain points such as member communication with an automated approach.
We have been able to expand on our software stack with API integrations for member retention to further accelerate business growth.
As "Super Users" we are always learning and finding new opportunities. Club Automation's customer support has given us the ability to voice concerns and suggestions with ears up the management chain. 
We are proud partners of CA.

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

Some downside to Club Automation include some inconsistencies around reporting and scheduling.
While the reporting in Club automation is robust yet simple, we find inconsistencies in data formating and available data across different reports.
The inconsistencies in scheduling prevent us from really operating some club offerings in the most desired ways. For example, service schedules (ex: Tennis, Swimming, Personal Training) vary in how they are presented, either resource based (Courts) or provider based (Personal Trainer) and is not able to be changed which prevents us from allowing visibility on the mobile app and online and adding additional services.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Club Automation is helping us solve programming. Our business strives on adult and kids programming and CA gives us the resources and flexibility to build systems that allow us to focus on the right things and now worry about a lot fo the admin work invloved from registrations to billing and scheduling.

**What do you like best about Club Automation?**

We switched to Club Automation from CSI Spectrum for our membership tracking and billing, and we can already see a huge improvement of quality and customization. It is also web-based, unlike our other platform, so staff can use it anywhere and it allows our members to use it themselves! They are able to sign in and register for programs, pay their bills, look at statements. All of this information was coming from the front desk before so this takes a huge burden off them. Plus, they have an app that is connected to the platform as well!

**What do you dislike about Club Automation?**

The implementation of a new platofrm from another is never easy, and this was no exception. The sheer amount of data that needed to be tranferred overcaused a few hiccups, and members learning a new app is always a challenge. I also think CA could try to include more club staff members in their onboarding training, rather than just their main contacts.

**What problems is Club Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are moving into the 21st century finally with new gym management software! Our old platform was server-based so it was not convienent when working from home and often had connectivity problems. Club Automoation is web-based so you can use it anywhere that has internet, which is great for staff. Also, our front desk staff were previously having to manually sign up all members for different programs, but now CA allows members to sign up on their own! Members have a login to the website and app, and can sign-up for programs, look at check-in history, pay bills, view statements, sign up for Group Exercise classes, and more! This takes a lot of work off our our front desk members.

I believe my club manager is trying to get additional buttons added to my format.  For example I need to be able to apply different timed lessons (45min) from the typical 30/60 min. bookings.

THe best parts of CA are it's easy to use navigation system. It is easy to link accounts, track usage and keep in contact with our members. I love that it has the Anniversary and birthday feature so we can help our members feel truly integrated into our community here. Little details like that matter to people!

I really do not understand all of the user defined fields and when things get switched around it can be so hard to efficiently use the system. I would love for some of the fields that we do not use to be eliminated. But I am sure they get used by other users.

I am not sure it is solving any of our issues, but I do know that it makes tracking and helping clients with their account management easy. It definitely helps when we can link accounts and keep family information together. I do wish that you could link accounts without having to link billing.
