"Simple and easy"

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

It's nice when you can use a service, and once it's up and running, you hardly ever need to think about it. I'm pretty familiar with how DNS works, and it's amazing how quick I can set up something new, or tweak a setting when I need to. Email forwarding is great to have right here and not through some other service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClouDNS?

I believe there is still a free level, which is okay for just "kicking the tires" to see if the service will work for you, but I pretty quickly switched to the "Personal" level because the other was too restrictive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable and inexpensive DNS service"

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

ClouDNS is good at providing considerable amount of allowed DNS zones even for lowest plans. I also appreciate capability to export and import zone records (saves much time when transferring zones). They also support all DNS records type, allow useful tools like mail forwarding, DNSSEC and API access. Again, all that at very reasonable price.

Their uptime and availability are also good, I can hardly recall an incident when domains/services were unavailable because of ClouDNS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClouDNS?

Their DNS failover feature is strangely expensive - it's useful, but I'd rather switch to a different DNS provider in case I really need many failover records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ClouDNS:

When choosing proper plan, look at your zones/record needs; you can switch plan later, and starting limits are usually good already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClouDNS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I managed to provide stable name resolution for both personal and corporate domains, with ClouDNS. That includes DNSSEC support out of box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cheap and reliable DNS"

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

It's decently priced - their smallest plan offers 25 domains for just $2 per month. It's reliable, as far as I know I never had any DNS downtime. DNS changes propagate fast. Transferring zones into ClouDNS was quick and easy. They provide 2 factor authentication for your security. They're well oriented towards DNS, eg. they offered CAA when not many DNS providers offered it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClouDNS?

As others said I would really like a drop down to quickly jump between my domains without having to go back to the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best DNS Hosting Service"

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

The facility of managing our Client's domain names. It is very easy to create zones and update DNS records. Also the response time and latency are incredible low!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We spent days researching for a DNS provider. We did trials on multiple platforms but we could tell that ClouDNS was different from the moment we signed up. It felt more "natural", everything is well-explained. Give it a try and you won't want to leave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClouDNS solving and how is that benefiting you?

We manage around +800 domains from our different clients. We have managed to improved our response time when they require to make changes to the zones and improve our maintenance process. "It just works. No issues!"

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

Being a small MSP to ability to appear global via DNS and SOA on the back of CloudNS vanity DNS is priceless. The Web Redirect service is excellent and really helps me deploy support links and software via easy to recall URLs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Better ROI than any cloud provider..."

What do you like best about ClouDNS?

I have a better ROI that any other cloud provider.

- I have tried Rackspace Cloud DNS which was free but not too many options

- AWS's Route 53 and/or GCP's DNS are expensive for people w/ many small domains.

- GoDaddy & Gandi - are not expensive but the feature set is rather low compared to ClouDNS.net Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When you have vps servers, its normal to have failures and when it happens, we need to route the traffic to another server or have a secondary server for balancing.
