**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritika C. | Senior Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

It is one of the traditional platform which is much more powerful and capable solution then Jenkins. It comes with powerful plugins for example I used Metrics based alerts system to notify the status on Metrics and can be customized for health and different parameter status. It also simplifies the overall deployment and users can use benefits of Kubernetes on premises feature. It also have multiple access control essentials for authorized access, it is considered as extended Jenkins version. SSO and LDAP access can be provided with customize Authorization policy.

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

Although it is considered as one of the Extended Jenkins versions, the overall dashboard gui is not user interactive and needs significant update. It would be great to have some features to track pipeline issues using debugging functionality. Other CI tools are very compatible with API's to manage pipeline in runtime, but CloudBees CI lacks this feature. With ever changing world, CloudBees CI needs this feature to remain market competitive.

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for an ultimate solution to cater our Kubernetes needs and scale up our overall Devops activity in the Production environment using Build automation. We wanted to reduce cost and efforts to maintain parallel pipelines. Overall microservices were complex to deploy and hence wanted to centralize all teams into a Devops strategy using CloudBees CI automation tool.

We were able to maintain our Pods and Clusters which uses Docker and Kubernetes structure. Our overall troubleshooting efforts came down due to extensive logging capability which CloudBees CI offers.

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

Stepwise and continuous integration of server automation processes. With sustained cloud technology, you can save the progress made in case of massive work loss due to non-product-related computer failures. Deployment of a centralized and robust self-serving CI with which to enhance the work experience of development teams. Friendly and attentive customer service that keeps the user happy.

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

The user interface of CloudBees CI comes across as unfriendly to the user, does not offer a smooth experience, and can take time to understand the tools and the capabilities they possess fully. Its acquisition cost is considerably high, as is its maintenance.

**Recommendations to others considering CloudBees:**

Excellent service of products offered by this company of a warm and saturated color logo that assures us of excellence in the quality of their software. CloudBees CI is ideal for improving constant and evolving production flows according to changing customer requirements, adapting to these changes in a matter of a click away.

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevOptics made available by CloudBees CI has allowed my technical team to many bugs that, without their help, our entire production line would have been completely lost, and with it, the company's profits and future. We were able to solve our problems with the help of this product.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

CloudBees CD is a platform that focuses on application orchestration, with features such as environment management, monitoring of multiple pipelines and a generation of highly objective analysis, but what I like most about this platform is the hybrid infrastructure that provides control and flexibility to increase the efficiency of the software developed, without any doubt it is the ideal tool for application orchestration and data channeling with high-level analytical reports

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

CloudBees CD has not had any negative impact since its implementation within the company in which I work, because so far its functions have been of great help, mainly the security model that has implemented, at first it is a little challenging to configure some tasks, but it is not something that can generate displeasure on the contrary so far we are delighted with the benefits provided by CloudBees CD

**Recommendations to others considering CloudBees:**

It is a platform that offers useful tools for the development of any company, simplifying functions that require manual customization through its orchestration system, it is an intuitive interface and very easy to use so I highly recommend the use of CloudBees CD

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly CloudBees CD has helped us too much with the automated orchestration of applications to gradually eliminate manual customization, as well as facilitated us tracking through their own dashboards where analytical reports are generated which are important when investing in products that are clearly necessary to achieve simplify costs and increase profits, in short CloudBees CD has boosted our development on several levels thanks to its architecture and data model

  ### 40. CloudBees CI facilitates and streamlines data management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

CloudBees CI is a native platform in the cloud that is responsible for how to run Kubernetes and develop local installations that have self-service functions that are responsible for managing the development of the tasks that this solution contains, within the aspects that I like most about CloudBees CI is the ease that gives to configure the pipelines achieving very effective customization for individual use, as well as its performance is also very remarkable for data management increased the functionality of the internal infrastructure and allows to maintain adequate monitoring to keep excellent control

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

In the time that we have been implementing CloudBees CI we have not had any major problem that could hinder our internal performance or that we have come to dislike because of the functions it has, on the contrary, we fully like all its functions and the ease with which we can implement them

**Recommendations to others considering CloudBees:**

CloudBees CI is the ideal platform to maintain a perfect data management pipeline, which is why I highly recommend the implementation of this solution within any company that wishes to increase the effectiveness and performance of its organization

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we did not have such a solid platform for data management, but since we started implementing CloudBees CI our infrastructure in program management has improved completely, since this platform fully supports the operation of software developers allowing an optimal channeling for each function to be executed, offering as a benefit a security that guarantees the development of their work

  ### 41. The standard in CI/CD - with great advantages of the paid version, but also disadvantages

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harald G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

Jenkins is extended by many helpful enterprise plugins like role based access, templates and many more and especially by connecting the various Jenkins to one huge cluster that you can manage and operate like one large Jenkins including trigger and copy artifact. Installed on a cloud system like OpenShift, you can even spin up a new Jenkins with one click. License allows any number of Jenkins instances.
Teams can be onboarded and managed easily with templates.
Automated and quality assured updates of most important plugins make maintenance a lot easier.
Support is professional and fast in most cases.

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

The paid version is quite expensive. The license model was improved - it formerly was per master and executors which could lead to architecture based on license. Today it is better, now based on users (logged in or committing to SCM) , but with high costs per user, which can lead to hight costs very fast or it might lead you to try to limit number of users or switch some projects back to open source Jenkins losing the clustering advantages for these teams.
Changes and bugfixes sometimes can take a long time if they are important for you but not relevant for (many) other customers.

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jenkins, the de facto standard for CI, can be a lot more useful with the enterprise plugins and with the clustering option.
You can manage large projects or many teams and projects a lot better than with one large Jenkins (Jenkinstein) or with many small non-connected ones.
Refactoring is made easier by just moving directories/projects around in the cluster.
Jobs can run as if they were on one large Jenkins (i.e. trigger, copy artifacts etc.)

  ### 42. CloudBees CI Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

CloudBees CI was developed to work tightly with Jenkins platform and supports highly reliable deployment in a cloud-native development environment like ours. CloudBees can be operated as on-premise or SaaS version based on custome priorities and needs,

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

The user interface is fully functional. However, for beginners, it may be overwhelming and may need more intuitive placement of options. Documentation has been steadily growing, and so the resources for learning. Our organization received steady support from CloudBees at various stages and this makes it our tool of choice for CI.

**Recommendations to others considering CloudBees:**

We have invested in training our infra and dev teams early on to avoid knowledge gaps, which helped us achieve business outcomes with minimal technical challenges.

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudBees CI helps us streamline our deployment pipeline in a complex delivery environment. We monitor our infrastructure, minimize the disruptions and ensure that the projects meet timelines. We have moved to microservices architecture, which comes with it's own set of complex challenges with operations of containers and clusters. CloudBees CI simplifies our operations.

  ### 50. A robust enterprise-ready Jenkins implementation!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo M. | Senior DevOps Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about CloudBees?**

Operations Center lets us easily manage multiple masters via one interface, Cluster operations for upgrades and plugin management. Templates help us enforce and maintain best practices across the enterprise (internal and 3rd party teams). We can onboard new projects and teams quickly, via a pre-configured security model available out of the box that supports single sign on. Role-based access controls allow for finer control of access to pipelines and jobs. Support for elastically scalable infrastructure and modern, cloud-native implementation (via Jenkins X). CloudBees Network for team self-service troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about CloudBees?**

Quite complicated pricing strategy until a few months ago, that CloudBees is reviewing it and has improved. Lack of customization options for user profile. It'd be really helpful to have a broader support for non-official plugins (but it's constantly adding more and more).

**What problems is CloudBees solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is the ability to remove the usual single-point-of-failure-approach of having a monolithic, shared, huge and expensive Jenkins master when trying to bring governance and security best practices. This is because with CloudBees CI each team might its own appropriately-sized and configured master (and agents), and also follow the security and governance guidelines enforced by the templates and CJOC. This solves most of the usual firefighting when a team messes with the configuration and affects all our software shop, helping our teams to stay productive and limit the impact of any problem found.
