Clonezilla's strength is the fact that it is sturdy and straightforward to use. Typically, you pick your options, boot it up, allow it to run. It is the imaging applications, As soon as you've got a grasp of this app. Also, of course, it is free and straightforward to discover.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

The port does leave a few to be wanted. For this type of work, you do not want it to be gaudy. The very first time ought to be OK and maybe kind of as a result of the speech google. It also needs to be understood that the documentation from the app leaves room for some confusion unless you're sure of what you're doing before you do it if you mess up things since there's a risk of data loss, whenever you're attempting to restore information. This can be true in almost any imaging merchandise.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Clonezilla is an item that is valuable but potent. You may get it, and you can do a little harm if you do not understand what it is you are doing. Googles seek some aid.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clonezilla restores machinery and has helped back up. I'd say it's acceptable for the machine to restore and backup. However, since the programmer states, it may back up and might be utilized. While for installation and restore servers onto a bigger scale. It might clone 40 computers, but I have never used it in this size. Clonezilla helps restore and rescue cubes in the disk drive, which can help boost the efficiency that is grinding.

  ### 5. Spend less time using Clonezilla images

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla allows us to obtain the image of a hard drive and clone it onto other computers quickly. It is free, in addition to being software that is completely based on the laws of free software, that is, freedom of execution and use and freedom of modification. The interface of Clonezilla is very simple to understand, although it requires certain technical knowledge. Clonezilla can be downloaded from its official website for free, and it is constantly updated thanks to the support of the community of users who work selflessly on the project.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla, as mentioned earlier, requires some computer knowledge, as it is necessary to have a bootable USB or burn a DVD with Clonezilla, so that once the BIOS of our equipment is configured, it is capable of booting from said device. It is somewhat complicated, but not at all impossible to accomplish. Once this step is completed, Clonezilla is super easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Very useful for cloning equipment in just a few minutes. Additionally, Clonezilla is software that is free, easily downloadable from its official page, and very lightweight.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Clonezilla when we want to clone the state of one computer to several computers with similar technical characteristics. Specifically, it is used to, once the installation of an operating system and the main programs we are going to use in a classroom on one computer is completed, quickly clone it to the rest of the computers in that classroom, accomplishing this task in just a few minutes. Much less time than it would take if we did it one by one using the normal method.

  ### 6. Clonezilla.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia M. | Alicia, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla is a program based on open-source licenses, it is free and cross-platform. Its purpose is to help us in the event of a serious data loss by allowing us to recover from disasters. It can also be very helpful when it comes to cloning disks and partitions. Its mode of operation is to carry out a backup of the system or to save a copy and reproduce it on all the computers where it is to be implemented. Another possibility offered by Clonezilla is to do it from a network server, as the image can reside on the hard drive, via ssh, samba server, or an NFS server.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

Obsolete interface. An external storage device is necessary, such as a bootable USB or a CD or DVD to boot directly with Clonezilla. This task is not difficult to perform, but it is not suitable for novice users, as it requires entering the computer's BIOS to edit the boot order of the storage units.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

It is free. It is very useful. It saves a lot of time in case you need to install the same operating system and software on multiple computers. RECOMMENDED!

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been recently used to install the operating system with the basic programs we selected on 40 computers. First, it was installed on one computer and then cloned and replicated on the other 39 computers, saving us a great amount of time. Additionally, being free, we did it without affecting the capital of our budgets.

  ### 7. Clonezilla

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar L. | Soporte Técnico de Sistemas Microinformáticos y Redes, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla is a very useful free open-source software tool because it can save you a lot of work time as a systems technician when installing operating systems on computers with identical characteristics. It also becomes miraculous in cases of disaster on a computer due to viruses and such. Once the data is saved, the computer can be restored to a freshly formatted state thanks to Clonezilla. All this is possible because by booting from a Clonezilla USB or DVD, a program starts that allows us to make an exact copy of our disk image, all from a pleasant and simple user interface. Even if it has an operating system installed. With the Clonezilla server version, you can even clone numerous computers over a network.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

It is necessary to have technical knowledge about handling BIOS in computer equipment, as you will need to change the boot mode to the device where you have the Clonezilla boot. Therefore, for a systems IT professional, it is very simple but not so for the average user.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Without a doubt, a great tool that for an investment of 0 will save you time in your equipment maintenance work.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has saved me a lot of work in the installation we did for an office with 25 identical computer stations. Instead of having to go one by one, a single installation was done and then simply with a USB drive and Clonezilla we made an image of the PC that was quickly reproduced on each and every PC in the office's LAN network. Also, in cases of virus attacks, you can quickly restore the computer to the same performance as the first day.

  ### 8. Clonezilla

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elvira S. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

When we run Clonezilla, the first thing we need to know is that we are using a program whose license is based on free software licenses, which makes it free.
Its positive points are:
- Very lightweight, intuitive, and useful software.
- It will allow us to create disk images, which we can recover in case of disasters, data loss, or simply to make copies of the hard drive and environment for computers with identical technical characteristics, which facilitates the preparation time of equipment.
- It is cross-platform and free.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

The worst thing about Clonezilla is that it must be used by personnel with knowledge of computer security and system administration, as it requires modifying certain aspects of the system's boot in the BIOS. Otherwise, it is very intuitive and fulfills its purpose, so there are no complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Very useful for saving time in the installation of operating systems and applications on multiple computers, by being able to create hard drive images. It will also be useful for you by being able to use these images as a backup of a computer.

It is used when a computer in a computer lab becomes misconfigured or infected with a virus, and it needs to be recovered quickly. This can be done by restoring the image with Clonezilla quickly, easily, and without having to pay for expensive licenses.

  ### 9. Clonezilla Straight-Forward Imaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David T. | Systems Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla's greatest strength is that it's powerful and simple to use. In most cases you boot it up, select your choices, and let it run. Once you have a grasp of the program it is probably the best straight up imaging tools available out there. Not to mention it's free and easy to find.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

The interface does leave some to be desired. For this kind of work though you don't really need it to be flashy. Also the first time through can be kind of daunting due to the language, so google up some know how and should be fine. It should also be known that the documentation in the program itself leaves room for some confusion to arise. Unless you are absolutely sure of what you are doing before you do it because there is a great risk of data loss if you mess things up. Of course this is true in any kind of imaging product when you are trying to restore data.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Clonezilla is a very useful but powerful product. You can get it for free and if you don't know what you are doing you can do some damage. A few google searches some help you through your first time or two.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clonezilla solves the problem of being able to image machines quickly without a price tag that comes on some of its competitors.

  ### 10. Clonezilla.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla is a software that will allow you to create images of disk volumes or external storage devices to later restore them. That is, if you have a good strategy, in addition to serving as a backup mechanism, it will reduce your work time spent installing the operating system and main applications to a room of several computers with the same technical characteristics, since you can do it on the first one and then just restore the image on the rest. This program is free as it has a free software license.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

This program requires certain computer knowledge, so it is not that easy to use. Configure the machine to boot from our Clonezilla CD. Other than that, I can't say anything bad, because it more than fulfills the objectives for which it was created.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

I recommend Clonezilla as a backup method to streamline the tasks of an IT administrator.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves us a lot of time when a computer in a classroom has virus problems or Windows registry file misconfiguration. All you have to do is restore an image of that PC with our Clonezilla and in 10 minutes the equipment is like new.

  ### 11. CloneZilla, your solution against data loss disasters.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

The Clonezilla application belongs to the category of applications that are part of the passive security software group, as it allows us to attempt disaster recovery or massive data loss. It is used for cloning disk volumes and their partitions. It is like the free software version similar to Norton Ghost, which means it will be free.
Once the cloning of a disk, volume, or partition is done, you can save it as an image file and transfer it to a USB drive, DVD or CD, a NAS server via SSH, SAMBA server, etc.
It also facilitates the work of installing operating systems with all the necessary applications integrated into many workstations with identical technical characteristics. This would be done by performing an initial installation and then cloning that machine. Instead of reinstalling the OS and all the necessary applications on each computer, you can clone that image on each workstation. But remember, they must be identical machines in terms of hardware resources!!

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

It's somewhat complicated to download the necessary version from the web and complete the entire process, as you need an empty USB drive or a blank DVD or CD to copy it, since it boots via a bootable CD.

You must have sufficient knowledge to make changes in the computer's BIOS to change the boot method, as we need it to boot from the DVD or USB drive before the main hard drive, before starting the cloning process.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

Use it, it will make the task much easier for you in case of a disaster or having to perform multiple installations on identical machines.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easier for us to install the operating systems on the 30 computers (all identical in terms of features) that we have in each classroom, because since they are all the same, it is only necessary to perform the traditional installation on one, with the 15 or 20 applications that each student will need, and then cloning is done and it is installed ultra-fast on each computer in the classroom.

  ### 12. Great OpenSource Software for Growing Business Needs

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Clonezilla?**

Clonezilla is an opensource data platform that allows individuals to partition and image + clone disks. It is very similar, in my opinion, to Norton Ghost software but as I've said is available opensource. Clonezilla is very helpful in completing system deployment, bare metal system backup, and system recovery.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

This is an opensource software so security is always questionable and functionality can vary, and this can be a major drawback. I would recommend this platform for use on a very small scale.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

I would recommend to use it on a small scale.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my experience, Clonezilla has helped back up and restore machines on a small scale. I would say it is suitable for single machine backup and restore. But, as the developer states it could be used While for massive deployment and could possible back up and restore machines on a larger scale. It could clone 40+ computers simultaneously, but I have never used it on that magnitude. Clonezilla helps save and restore only used blocks in the hard disk which helps increase the cloning efficiency.

It is a system designed in Linux, so it is very stable and robust. It allows you to clone an entire hard drive or a partition of the drive to be able to recover it if needed. It can be run from USB, CD, DVD, and from the network to clone several computers simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Clonezilla?**

The search for the server and the names of the cloned images saved on the server must be written manually.

**Recommendations to others considering Clonezilla:**

It is recommended to have a stable network in order to clone computers simultaneously over the network.

**What problems is Clonezilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been possible to easily save the images of the operating systems that we have needed.
