"Clip Studio"
4/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

I like the easy access to brushes and other tools. Use of program is straightforward and easy and there is a nice flow to the layout. Brushes feel smooth to use with stylus and make for excellent detail. pressure on brushes feels good and smooth and I feel that I am able to obtain the detail and thickness I need in my linework. What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

I wish there were more filter options along with decorative designs but overall excellent program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Program that has everything"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

It has brushes of all sizes and pressures as well as references and free brushes downloads for artists to use. It's very comprehensive on how to manipulate brushes to make rendering very smoothly as well as comic elements for inking and coloring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

The only thing I dislike is that it has so much it's hard to use and it's hard to understand what each part does unless it's practiced with every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice Inexpensive Alternative to Ps"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Has a very similar interface to Photoshop but more designed for comics and sketching. This is best used for getting quick ideas out. Obviously also I would say more web comics. The fact that the program is fairly easy to use is a plus, but I wouldn't really use this for professional final printed work. I love the different line pressures as well, this is a huge plus. What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

I'm not a fan of the resolution it uses. Also the anti-aliasing is non existent. That was very bothersome for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A game-changer experience"

What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

CELSYS advertise CSP as a "stándard tool for manga artists", but it's actually much more than that. It doesn't only include very powerful tools for doing clean lines, add text bubbles, grayscale tones, panels and cell-shading coloring but also has amazing sets of brushes that enhance your possibilities simulating real-life painting (watercolor and oil, to be specific).

Plus, CSP was developed by thinking on the professional user first and foremost, so it includes the most essential editing tools that I couldn't find in SAI, which I migrated from and which I had to use Photoshop with just to get some simple things like text done, but not anymore now that I have CSP which have it all packed in one single place. Let alone other not-essential and very VERY powerful tools like the perspective tools which is just AMAZING for doing concept art and background painting.

For last, I have to tell you about the Animation features, which prevents me to open another application any time I want to do animated frames for my game sprites, which is big, BIG PLUS for me. Before it, my typical workflow was this: Draw frames sketch in Photoshop > Export > Import into SAI/CSP just so I can paint them > Export > Import again in Premiere and After Effects just so I can join them and add effects. Not anymore now that I have CSP, it's enough to draw, paint and export all the frames in CSP and maybe I'll add another animation app for special effects.

CSP is just AMAZING, this app just came out in a time I thought I needed something like it as if I just created it by imagining it. It worth the time to try it because I'm sure you will keep it in your regular workflow, no matter if your main field is not "manga", if you do Illustration then go with it :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

There's only one thing I do not like about it and it's that it doesn't let you choose between CPU or GPU rendering, which isn't a big deal considering how well optimized CSP is Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Program for All Illustration and Comic Needs"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Clip Studio Paint has an amazing myriad of features. It is 100% the most versatile digital artwork program out there. It combines the tools of Photoshop, the brush and stabilization features of Sai, and its own slew of comic-making tools. The greatest thing to me is the pressure curves - you can actually tweak how your tablet interacts with the program. So - for those of you using non-Wacom tablets? You can tweak the pressure sensitivity so that you don't have to push so hard! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

If I'm being honest, I'm not completely crazy about the interface. It can be a little daunting at first, but once you break into it it's pretty easy to get the hang of! Navigating brush presets can be a little difficult as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutely Amazing"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Clip Studio Paint is one of the best programs by far you will ever use. As someone who has been digitally painting for almost 8 years now I've run into a number of different software that are meant for different types of digital art. Clip Studio Paint is well rounded - it has some of the best painting tools out there, along with great pre-installed brushes and textures. It's amazing for comics with its templates as well as its 3D references. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into digital art. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

The overall layout is somewhat confusing and difficult to use. It is very hard to find some tools and it does lag out at times. It has crashed on multiple occasions losing me hours of work. Some more variety in the brushes would be great as well, though that's easily covered by ones found online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good software for drwaing"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

I think the interface is similar to adobe software and in my opinion is a great benefit if you work with both or if you decide to switch to Clip Studio Paint.

The brushes are really good and the path assistant is really useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

I can't find a fast way to increase or decrease the brush size while i'm painting. I've set up a shortkey but it's not so fast. I would like to link the wacom wheel to the brush size but it seems not possible. The 3D features seems a little poor, they could be upgraded. Some more filters could be a plus. "Excellent Illustration Software"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

Manga studio is an excellent program for illustration, both painterly and lineart based. It offers a wide variety of brush options and settings, that allow brushes to be tweaked to perfection. As of the latest update it also supports frame by frame animation. It supports most common file types, and can export and read Photoshop documents with some limitations (namely rasterizing text layers). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

the only negative thing I can think to say about this software, is that you are unable to rotate text without rasterizing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very complete tool for the ilustator"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

The price vs the quality of the product.

This software has some of the best tools i've seen in a long time. The one i like the most it's the 3d reference tool. It helps a lot to practice and secure check the sketches/posse layouts, it's full customizable and has the option to upload your own models.

Also the crowd tool it's very useful for storyboards and such! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

Sadly the 3d reference tool isn't perfect, and the commands to move the models are confusing and aren't similar to any 3d software i've ever used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best digital drawing tool I've ever used"
5/5
What do you like best about Clip Studio Paint?

It seems like there nothing this program can't do. There's a way to streamline every part of the workflow for drawing comics and illustrations.

I especially love the 3D models. You can customize and pose figures for reference as well as import your own 3D models. It's also ridiculously easy to make your own patterns, textures and brushes. The most recent update allows you to even animate on this program. It's a fantastic all-in-one tool and fun to use!

Plus, the default tools feel very natural without having to mess with the brush settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clip Studio Paint?

This program is worth so much more than it's cost so it's hard to complain about anything honestly. One thing that could be improved though is the transform tool. The transform tool in Photoshop for instance, allows you to warp the image and tweak it in ways that Clip Studio can't do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
