After years of using Photoshop, I made the switch to CSP a bit ago. I'm glad I did it. The lack of a subscription alone is enough to convince me it's a great product. It feels like a hybrid of Photshop and Sai, for those familiar with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI is a bit ugly and seems clearly optimized for Japanese, and not English. There is strange wording throughout the program. It looks dated. truly, if I had one complaint here it would be on the lack of key tutorials doing precisely the task I am trying to accomplish.

Sometimes I have a very specific need and there is ZERO information on how to accomplish said task. Tutorials are basic and don't always cover what I need.

What I like best about CSP is how user friendly it is to new and more experienced artists. The way it's design is more for the digital artist with fluid flawless designs in brushes, how easy it is to adjust each brush and set up new custom brushes for what you can use. It's very light weight on any system even older systems

What I dislike about CSP is literally only one thing and that's the lack of Liquify (a Photoshop filter) as sometimes it's needed and having to switch over to PS to use this is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CSP has a very wide range of abilities, from drawing and painting to comics, storyboarding and photo editing, to the newest addition of animation. There’s also an iPad app and transferring files between iPad and computer is easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don’t like the subscription for the iPad app; I wish I could just buy it outright or even use the software key I got with my desktop application. Their support site is decent but i would also love some more solid English translation as much is still in Japanese. I would also like an option to work in cmyk. The presets brushes and how easy is to install new brushes, panels can be detached and easily rearranged, buttons for rotation, flip and reset are easy to be found, a useful tool to create manga and comics, easy to learn how to use, never had a performance issue. I've been using for little more than a year, and I didn't found something I truly dislike, but there are few tools I don't use, the option to load assets such as 3d objects is one of those. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think what i like best about this program is that there are amazing brushes and that it's easy to learn how to use. I also really love that there are even more brushes created by the community that use this program (a lot free to utilize), and that you get a good, in depth free trial of this program. I think what i really dislike about this program is the big price (mainly because I'm very broke) and that it kind of lags on my old computer, but other than that, the price is actually a lot better than some of the other more professional programs out there that i've tried before and bought. Clip Studio Paint tool has plenty of illustration tools, this application includs various options like paint brushes, vector tools, etc.

It is one of the less expensive version of Clip Studio Paint EX. The Pro version of the application provides a number of animation tools as well as the desktop publishing tools which helps to organize the comics. The comic software part gives several drawing and painting tools to which gives a professional variation effects for the comic stories. Unlike the EX version, The Clip Studio Paint Tool does not provide the story functions through which one can easily manage and create multiple pages in one file only.
