The connectors to business databases are numerous and efficient. Targeting dashboard access based on users makes daily use easier. A very reasonable cost for a medium-sized company. Quick implementation (connector, creation of data flows, scheduling). A support team that is available and effective. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** Sometimes unexplained errors occur in the scheduled execution of certain tasks (status error or ignored). Formula syntaxes are sometimes different in Data Flows and Dashboards. Reports seem more complex to implement compared to dashboards. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** ClicData allows you to consolidate data from multiple business solutions (traffic/revenue, customer loyalty, detailed sales analysis) on a single platform. No need for specific data interface development thanks to multiple data connectors. Users can export the results to manipulate them in Excel. ### 3. And we couldn't be happier with our decision to use ClicData. The offering and feature set for the price is incredibly reasonable. The support is top notch and I've seen some of the features I've suggested already implemented. Like any of these tools, there's a learning curve in the beginning but they were fantastic about helping us along. Everyone in our company uses reporting built on ClicData, we even have some of it embedded in our internal systems so users don't have to go to a separate site. It's just an excellent product. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** I don't have any major complaints. Not only has the ability to connect to a variety of sources to generate dashboards has been valuable, but provides the additional features to modify, join, and deliver data to external sources. With the scheduling of tasks, this has saved us hours per day on repetitive tasks. Probably the thing I like best is the responsiveness of the team. Support requests for questions are handled quickly and with accurate solutions. The team is open to feature requests and has implemented several in record time, making ClicData even more valuable for us. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** Being a non-technical user, there is a bit of a learning curve to being able to use it proficiently when formulas or queries are needed, though support is always willing to assist and has given great direction to overcome the challenge. Some feature names and the location of the features aren't quite as obvious as I would expect. I stumbled upon a feature that saved me a few hours a week by accident given the label wasn't what I expected and it was in menu I rarely use. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** ClicData is currently solving 2 problems for us: 1 - the ability to extract data from Snowflake and surface it to our customers without having them within our infrastructure is the core use 2 - utilizing dashboard views to be able to monitor the performance of our Snowflake processes, given that Snowflake's own monitoring and dashboards provide little value. ### 6. Web-based without installation hassles or concern for which device I work on. Customer service is great - I appreciate the quick replies and easy fixes that the support team and developers offer me and they're always pleasant to work with. New features come frequently and are communicated clearly. And the system is affordable for a grant-funded nonprofit. It's a great value for what we get. Over the past 2 years of using the system, I've learned a lot of cool new features and seen the platform expand in good ways. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** Not much downside. I guess if I started to perform forecasting and deeper-level analytics work, I might outgrow the platform, but I'm nowhere near that. The new data flow tools could be more intuitive - the UI is so different than the other fusion/merge tools that I've been putting off learning it because I'll need a tutorial or more customer support than I have time for. I'm sitting back to watch it evolve before digging in, but I do have a bit of anxiety about sunsetting of the old fusion/merge tools, but I really like the idea of using a single data flow tool to replace all of the other moving parts. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integration of many of our other web-based systems that create our data management ecosystem. I can pull them all together in Clicdata and automate it. Huge time saver. ### 7. It does all of the normal BI tool things well - tables, graphs, etc., and is very easy to configure and use. Where it shines best though is when you're trying to customize how the end user interacts with it. The options for either using their built in user management, or their Live Link functionality for embedding it in a custom app allow for great flexibility. Also the ability to style widgets exactly how you want them is a feature I have not seen in many other offerings. Technical support has been extremely responsive and solves most of my problems, and when they are not able, they get any issues resolved quickly with their development team. After using ClicData for 5 years now, I cannot recommend them highly enough **What do you dislike about ClicData?** The only issue is that per-user pricing can get quite expensive very quickly. $5/user is fine when there's a small user base, but rolling it out to a large user base can become cost prohibitive. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need a flexible BI tool and that's what it is. There are so many visualization options and customization features for all kinds of data modeling procurements. It adds up a toll on choosing the right widget for optimized performance. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can conveniently build interactive dashboards, customize data mapping activities, and utilize its in-built data warehouse for our datasets with ClicData platform. Enabling the auto-data refresh option will update the latest records, which benefits our organization. We use its Pivot table widget to transpose attribute groups per our requirements. I mean if I find a tab with CD opened some time ago and I try to fill up timesheet and then when I click save or refresh it finally logout me and asks to log in. The problem is that I lost hours/comments I filled - reports not so convinient for some basic operations like - I need to check out how many hours within this month I tracked and how many left. Yes, it's possible to make via reports, but it will be great to have some basic simple dashboard with such a personal summary. For example, I can configure hours expectation for this month and then see on a dashboard overall progress. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps to track working hours and see how many of them left. Useful expecially when I work on a few projects within the same period, so I can easily manage time spent for each of them. ### 13. However, support is very helpful with figuring that stuff out. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** It is very easy to set up and make changes to your dashboards. A lot of times, I don't know how I want a report to look. Even putting price aside, ClicData is SO MUCH BETTER in every way! The mid tier membership with ClicData is serving our needs perfectly with a database connection, 10 users and live link capabilities. We haven't embedded any dasboards yet, but nice to know the capability exists. The support is phenomenal and I got a free hour of training with a very knowledgeable support representative. I did that about a month into using the service so I had a bunch of questions gathered up and he answered them ALL. You can always contact support with minor issues too and they are super helpful. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** Occasionally there are little bugs, but those seem to get fixed quickly. For the price, there is nothing I would complain about! **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** I looked at probably 30 other BI services when I was making a switch and couldn't be happier with my choice. I have experience in using a similar platform so it was a smooth transition and my team of "viewers" loves it. We didn't purchase an extensive support package, but I know ClicData offers that and given the experiences I've had with their support staff I'd say it's worth every penny to get you up and running. This may not be the best choice for extremely large companies who need on site training (not sure if they offer that?) but for small to medium sized companies in virtually any industry I don't think you'll find anything better. I also thought their white label option was very cool. I used to be a consultant and would have invested in that at the time if I had known about it. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** So many benefits! We are importing data from many different sources and building dashboards that can be used company wide for top level information or by specific teams for extremely detailed results. We've taken projects that used to get buried for lack of time and made them available at the click of a button. It is helping us to better understand our business in so many ways. ### 15. It does not let you have multiple windows side by side. Like if you open dashboard in window 1 and data in window 2, it logs out of window 1. 2. It hangs at times but thats ok. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** Just use it and you'll love it. ITS AMAZING! ClicData let me do all of that since it pulled real-time report from the api tables for the tools I was using. Other tools out there forced me to know how to do actual programming to get any useful data, but Clicdata makes it fairly easy as long as you know some basics around data and formatting. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** Like any other software out there, this one is not perfect. Here are a few things I wished it would have had: - More pre-built report templates (I mostly had to create mine from scratch). - I'd like to see more connectors for small, online businesses. I didn't see any native connectors for apps like Stripe or Zapier, which are very common in the work I do. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** ClicData allows me to pull data from different sources and display it in anyway I wanted. It also has live filters, so I could create a dashboard and then give it to my clients and let them filter by their preferences (ie date, website, etc) and lets me get back to business without having to create multiple reports. ### 17. Many times I have to reload the data a couple of times. I'm never fully confident that the first time I open one of the pages, that it will not have an error on it. Changes are made immediately, so testing can be very interactive. Performance is generally good, and predictable. For mediocre SQL programmers (like me), it's like writing SELECT statements graphically. The transform operations are mostly intuitive, and sequenced to make it easy to maintain. I was especially impressed with the Pivot transform, which replicated a complicated Excel pivot table I had built as a prototype. The widgets cover most of the functions you might need to construct a dashboard. ClicData support is excellent and responsive. I always got a response within a day for any critical issues or questions. They encourage you to use their support channel, in part, I suspect to get some of the less intuitive functions working properly. Administrative functions are straightforward and flexible. Licenses can be upgraded incrementally, so the application grows with usage. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** I found the online documentation weak and sometimes even incorrect. It often reads like "English as a 2nd language". I think they steer you to their consultants to make up for the limited documentation. While the simple table widget is rich in options, the drilldown and pivot tables are rather limited in formatting choices. For example, if you need to word-wrap within a table cell, the simple table is often your only choice. Selecting the correct widget or function to store variables is tricky. Numeric values are limited to only a few widgets, so performing mathematical functions can be hazardous. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** I've had experience working with SalesForce, Microstrategy, and Intuit's QuickBase, but I found ClicData to be a more versatile tool for quickly creating professional-looking dashboards and reports in a short time. If you have a basic understanding of SQL, you will find this to be a very friendly way to design and implement a range of reports, KPIs and charts without resorting to programming. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used ClicData dashboards in a somewhat unorthodox way: we used "Indicators", or icons within tables to represent data, and the results looked great. The ability to integrate 3rd party HTML into dashboards was valuable (although ClicData correctly warns that response time may suffer). The ability to start small and release dashboards incrementally suited our needs very well. We also valued the responsive account team getting us quickly pointed in the right direction. ### 19. Great solution for any budget. Use of Azure for data storage and data connectivity to just about any type of data source is a big benefit. There are many widgets (charts and tables to use for dashboards). There is no limit to the number of dashboards. The solution gives flexibility for other users and secured login also. Each dashboard has its own live link that you can set to use forever or have it expire after a given set of time. Data synchronization is simple with their data connectors. Connect to dropbox, SQL, Google Drive and more... **What do you dislike about ClicData?** I wish there was even more widgets for the dashboards. It would also be nice to be able to query the back-end data using SQL Studio. The other missing feature is the ability to copy pre-configured widgets and use them from dashboard to dashboard. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** I have researched many different products, from open sources to other BI solutions. This is the best I have found. Their customer support is terrific and very friendly. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** The initial benefit was a way to display Key Performance Indicators to different production facilities around the country. The additional benefits gained, because of the flexibility, was the ease in which you can deliver an informative page for any type of platform. The tables I have worked with have not exceeded 150,000 rows. ETL & visualization Tools: I've dabbled in Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Domo and SAP Lumera. Most of my experience is with ClicData and Tableau. - I like the fact that it is 100% Cloud/Browser based, so I can work on it from anywhere. - Data refreshes are SUPER easy. - Data visualization is easy to learn. - There are a lot of data transformation options and they are easy to learn. You can start off with the GUI options and ease your way into SQL queries. - The data merge and fusion capabilities are powerful and easy. For low to upper medium grade ETL and visualization I strongly suggest you take a look at ClicData. And if you don't have huge security concerns, i.e. no passwords or simple password protection. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** August 2017 - I wish their documentation was better. I wish they had better formula examples. The lack of a user community makes for a lot more trial & error. I wish the API's were easier to work with. This would make it easier to integrate with our other applications. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** IT"S FREE! GREAT for a quick & dirty Proof of Concept. For low to upper medium grade ETL and visualization I strongly suggest you take a look at ClicData. They are highly responsive and very helpful. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a series of KPI dashboards that we use to monitor our business health and get actionable insights into how to improve our operations. ### 23. Which makes it easy to use from all skill levels. The Dashboards have easy plug in's and interfaces that make it simple to navigate and use. **What do you dislike about ClicData?** The stability and reliability of the entire dashboard system is not enterprise level. This makes it hard to rely on from a business perspective. The pricing structure for "refreshes per month" makes it challenging to utilize the product as a "real -time". I believe the refreshes per month should be one of 2 packages sold by the company. Providing multi-tier packages for customers looking for real-time dashboard data, without worrying about refreshes at a reasonable cost. ClicData servers do not seem to be reliable or beefy enough to support customer demand. **Recommendations to others considering ClicData:** Great Product. Servers are not reliable for Up time. Original design services we used took weeks and weeks. **What problems is ClicData solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing real time insight into Warehouse Statistics. We use the Dashboards on multiple TVs throughout our company, rotating a Dashboard every 3 minutes or so. Showing data or news from the company as well as Sales Numbers, Statistics, Website Data & Shipping Metrics. We then make staffing and resource decisions based off the numbers. ### 24.
