What I like the most about CleverTap is that it provides access to a variety of tools and channels to communicate with your users, all in one place. There's no need for extensive integrations—CleverTap offers almost everything you need to grow your operations and sales effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However, I believe they could be more flexible with pricing for startups that are just getting started. Not all companies can afford a tool like CleverTap, even though it makes a significant difference. Startups generally need traction in the early stages, and that traction comes from delivering the right message through the right channel at the right time—something CleverTap excels at. Having the support of Customer Success (CS) to resolve doubts and unblock processes that may arise during the journey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is difficult to build journeys and create complex logics within them (e.g., branching based on an event property or a user property), as well as testing different sending times within the same journey.
Additionally, there is limited flexibility in creating the segments that trigger the journeys, particularly when it comes to incorporating OR logic and a certain degree of complexity beyond whether an event is triggered or not.
For last, Having the option to import user information through SQL queries, which allows for faster processes, reduces dependency on the tech team, and facilitates real-time personalization of communications without the need to upload CSV files or develop features to include user properties. CleverTap lets us achieve the true superpower of personalization at scale. With it, we have used real-time segmentation and the "Journeys" feature to create campaigns that feel personal, not robotic. It's almost like having a direct line to the needs of our users. We have used the platform mostly around the time when it was reactivating users, and the results have been lower churn and more engaged users who seem to be coming back for more. The comprehensive analytics of clvertap allowing real time tracking of user behaviour and trends to retain the customers better using features like 'Cohort' and 'RFM' is the best about this software.

It is not about what I dislike but about the improvements that could make the software more reachable to users. One of the major point to take into the consideration is 'Pricing' .The high price somewhat make customers to rethink on the usage of software.Other than pricing for new users learning more advance features may feel challenging. I have been using the CleverTap platform for over two years and it has been a game-changer for my marketing campaigns. That when setting up a push notification, you have to paste the image and the deeplink two times, once for android and iOS. I am not a tech person but i wonder why they cannot save the users from pasting two times. Not a deal-breaker though! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using the CleverTap platform for over three years to manage push notifications, journey notifications, in-app notifications, interstitials, and marketing emails across two accounts. My experience has been excellent so far.
The platform’s user interface is intuitive, and setting up campaigns or journeys is straightforward, even for complex workflows. What sets CleverTap apart is their customer support. Every query I’ve raised has been resolved promptly and effectively. I also appreciate their well-organized query management system, where issues can be prioritized as urgent, medium, or low. This ensures that critical issues are addressed immediately, which is a big plus for fast-paced marketing environments.
One feature that I have been recently trying my hands on is “Scribe", their integrated tool for notification content creation, which has been incredibly helpful in understanding and tweaking content based on emotions it is likely to invoke in the readers. It makes strategizing content more efficient.

In setting up journey notifications, there are no filter on specific "actions" within the event properties under the "user does not do" section in the Entry Inaction condition. I raised this with the Clevertap product team and they have assured that this additional feature is already under development and should be available some time soon. CleverTap's best and foremost differentiating factor is their unbeatable customer support team and the technical support team. We currently use Clevertap for it's various features but primarily for enagagement with push notifications and analytics for digging deeper and understanding our users. For new users, it might take a while to get the hang of it, like any other new skill. Another thing that could be better is the data visualisation aspects as well as creating a dashboard view across multiple boards.
