The IDM configuration could be more configurable. Specifically, due to minimal super-configuration options for Groups, we transitioned to BetterCloud to automatically manage Google Group rosters. I use Clever to help my students log in seamlessly to all the different platforms we use. As a fifth grade teacher, my students can get into our Google Classroom and our Wonders curriculum at the drop of a hat, and it's just a great time saver. It also helps me know that my students aren't just going to click anywhere on the computer. They have one place to go to, and it gives some safety and security. It definitely saves time logging in, and it also saves teacher worry and helps with classroom management. Clever is very easy to use, and it's user friendly and student friendly. I don't know if I have a favorite feature, but it's nice to be able to go and look up the students, and it's nice to be able to add stuff to my teacher page so I can find it quickly, and my students can do the same. It works well with the county resources we have. All of the county curriculum, including social studies, is delivered through Clever, which is again a great time saver. On my end, it works great and it's easy to use. We have upwards of about 50 teachers and we all use it, and I've never heard any complaints about it. Why mess with perfection? Sometimes it’s harder to use with younger students, since they have to log in with their email and password if they don’t have badges. At the beginning of the year, it’s fine for me to get everyone logged in, but more recently we’ve had to log in again at different points throughout the year. I like how Clever saves hours of work by syncing student roster from PowerSchool to various education apps, eliminating the manual export and upload process to each app individually. I appreciate the feature of setting it up once and then only needing to check it once per semester, along with the auto addition of new students, which removes the need to manually add new transfer students to each app. Setting up Clever was easy, and this simplicity adds to its value. The initial merging process with 3rd party apps can be slow, especially if we already have old accounts from previous years. The onboarding process kind of depends on the responsiveness of the 3rd party app's Clever-sync support team. Some apps I was never able to sync properly due to lack of support from the 3rd party team. It's just hit and miss depending on the 3rd party vendor. When they are responsive, then it's great.
