To be honest, I don't see any flaws till now in CIC. This has improved our operational efficiency, reduced manual effort, and enabled faster onboarding of new partners and interfaces. Cleo is good for EDI integration between suppliers and trading partners, but it could improve a bit on the support side. The UI is good enough overall, but it could be more user-friendly. For example, I don’t like that when we need to find older documents, we have to search using a custom range (like 60 days). Scheduled reports should also be improved; currently there isn’t a feature for ad hoc reporting. On the positive side, I’ve never faced any performance issues, and it feels fast enough. On the order window: the default is 60 days, but the date range is customizable, so your CSM can walk you through configuring that. The ability to pull up a single record by PO number, invoice number, or message ID is something I've passed directly to our product team — that kind of targeted lookup matters a lot in day-to-day operations, and we want to make sure it's tracked. CLEO is an extremely powerful integration platform. As an EDI/Integrations Dev at a larger 3PL, it’s important that we have the flexibility and capability to integrate with any platform our clients may bring forward. While the CLEO environment doesn’t necessarily hold your hand the way some other platforms do, its lower-level approach to development provides a lot of flexibility in how we build our solutions. I have full confidence that I could integrate CLEO with whatever a client presents, whether that’s a custom API or a spreadsheet from Quickbooks. The web UI/Cockpit is very intuitive, and it makes it easy to manage connections and review our data. Data transformation and connection communicated clearly, which saves time troubleshooting. Our CLEO environment includes a multithreaded task manager which allows us to allocate server resources for maximum efficiency. This use of concurrent processing has really helped the performance of our large volume integrations. We starting using CLEO via their Professional Services team, which greatly helped the onboarding process. Its important to have a holistic understanding of the integrations structure before you start building, because CIC lacks a guided workflow for you to follow. Visibility into all documents and their workflow, with an easy-to-use, cloud-based setup and straightforward error viewing and correction. CIC gives us the control to make minor corrections to our translation tables without having to wait for a vendor to complete. If the task is bigger than we have time for, support is ready to jump in and tackle it for us. What's nice is that EDI just runs. Because CIC is cloud based, it can lag when switching from page to page. The translation tables have had some trouble loading. I don't like how you cannot export data from any page you are on, only certain ones. This would be helpful to have if you need to analyze your partners or jobs. We used to employ a whole team of order takers. Now, we haven't had to add head count due to all the orders that feed our ERP through CIC. We have less order entry mistakes and happier customers. Our office team can now focus on other areas. It benefits me because being in IT I was called upon often to fix systems issues in relation to our inbound and outbound documents. Initial onboarding and configuration for complex partner integrations may take time, and documentation for certain advanced use cases could be more detailed. As a former user of Lexicom legacy software who has since upgraded to the cloud-based CIC, I can say the web-based interface is stable, and the uptime has been extremely reliable. My only gripe is that when you run into issues with a down connection, it doesn’t allow mass selection and editing to apply a general response or solution across each failed task attempt. I can process our data by sending invoices, ASN, and other documents efficiently. Setting it up was easy, and we adopted it to establish a more efficient workflow.
