What do you like best about Clearstory?

It's an incredibly intuitive program that is easy for both the field and office personnel to use. Additionally, the ability to add photos and other documentation to work tickets helps both sides understand why the change event happened.

I was shocked by how quickly the program was implemented into our work flow. We find ourselves using the program multiple times to update the project team and accounting about pending change orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

There are few things to really dislike about Clearstory. We have run into some issues with connectivity and auto population of labels when creating a T&M tag. Many of our projects are in remote areas with spotty cell signal coverage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tony Fuller of Clearstory

"Great Change Management Platform with Exceptional Visibility of Status"
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

1) The ease of sending out change notifications.

2) The integration of Procore.

3) The implementation process was fairly easy.

4) The customer support during implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

1) The only thing I dislike about Clearstory is that it does not have the ability to actually issue change orders. The issuance of change orders still has to occur in Procore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tony Fuller of Clearstory

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you find Clearstory’s change notifications, Procore integration, and easy implementation valuable, and that our support team has been helpful. We understand your concern about not being able to issue change orders directly, but we're pleased that Clearstory enhances visibility and efficiency in tracking and managing changes. Your input is appreciated as we continue to improve our platform.

"Great Concept and Platform Requiring a Bit More Fine-Tuning"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

I most enjoy that Clearstory provides 1 central location for all change information between a GC and its subcontractors, or potentially between an owner and its GC. It promotes better communication about changes and complete transparency for all parties at any given time. I also like the notifications and email delivery system to notify of changes submitted or outstanding pricing required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

I feel like Clearstory is at times, not quite intuitive in its function and button clicks. The placement of certain buttons, how to apply filters and sorts, and the organization of information feels a bit clunky and "Beta"-like. That said, it does function well for its purpose with some much needed immediate improvements. The biggest issue is the separate Change Notification Log from the Change Order Log. Not having Open items awaiting pricing on 1 log to review creates an easy way to miss pricing and does not seem like the most concise way to organize information. I also think that the workflow from receiving changes, creating markups, sending comments back and forth, and ultimately approving an item with a new value is not intuitive or user-friendly. Some additional prompts for info at each change of status would help with this. Lastly, a more customizable CO Log format with a comment tab would allow for more useful CO Log exports for reporting outward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful tool for organizing and receiving changes"
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

This is a helpful program to use on a change heavy project or a project in which you are tracking the usage of allowances by changes or by T&M tickets. The customer support is direct and prompt. The real-time data that you can get from Clearstory helps track forcasting and risk if the processing side of changes takes longer to reflect real time data. It's largest advantage is its a one-stop shop for trades to submit changes to you eliminating the need to diligently track emails or save attachments. It is easy for everyday use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

Not a lot of customization in how you visually track or annotate changes at one-glance. There are ways to annotate and comment, but those are seen after clicking into individual views. If you need a single page to run through quickly while referencing notes, you have to get creative with how you represent that without doing double-work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Used as a GC and Subcontractor."
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

The most helpful thing about Clearstory is the following:

1: Ability to populate commonly used material and equipment for the field to select for accurate accounting later.

2: Ability to have the tag signed that day by the site super, then have everyone on the project CC'd on a distribution so there are no suprises later.

3: Automatically totaling tags. No more manually adding up hours from a paper tag!

4: Easy revisions and markups Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

There is a little bit of a learning curve. Navigation is a little muddy at first, and takes some getting used to.

When multiple tiers of users are on Clearstory, they need to be added in a specific order for things to integrate smoothly. GC-->Sub-->2ndTier Sub. If those are out of order things dont link perfectly. Sometimes a new sub will create a project before the GC has sent an invite. A way to link existing projects would be useful. "The complete Change Management cycle in one location!"
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

This is the first platform I've seen that ties digital T&M tickets to a fully-priced COR, even from a lower-tier trade to the next trade whom can then add their COR cover to it, which can also be used to create a COR to the owner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

It doesn't offer distribution lists for the various functions like distributing the different types of CORs to different consultants. All the logs export separately and there is no custom report to be able to download all the linked data showing the whole CM cycle. When filtered on a project(s) it would be best if thereafter each log you enter it was still filtered on the same project(s), and sometimes when filtered on one project it still shows data from other projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tony Fuller of Clearstory

Hello! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Clearstory! We're pleased that you appreciate our platform's unique capability to link digital T&M tickets to fully-priced CORs, streamlining the Change Management cycle. We take note of your feedback regarding distribution lists and reporting. We're continuously working to enhance our features and will consider your suggestions for improvements. Clearstory's ability to tie T&M tickets to specific CORs is indeed a significant benefit, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheets and reducing errors in the process. Your insights help us refine and improve our service.

"Overall, the experience has been great!"
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

One stop shop for CORs and T&M tags. For the most part, the platform is very user friendly. If you have issues, the customer support team is very helpful. I had trouble figuring out how to change the COR number once created. Within 10 minutes, someone from the support team was on the phone with me and walking me through it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

It has been difficult to get buy in from our field team members. Many companies require a phisical copy of a T&M tag so it can be double the work for some. We are working to get everyone aqainted with the system but it is taking longer than anticipated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tony Fuller of Clearstory

Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience with Clearstory! We're glad to hear that you find our platform user-friendly and appreciate our responsive customer support team. We understand your challenge with getting full buy-in from the field team, especially concerning physical copies of T&M tags. Would creating the tag on Clearstory and then printing a copy be a solution, in those instances? Clearstory's organized platform effectively manages T&M tags and COR logs, streamlining the approval process and facilitating seamless communication between you and subcontractors. Your feedback is valuable as we continue to enhance our services.

"Clearstory is a great way to keep subcontractor change orders organized."
5/5
What do you like best about Clearstory?

Clearstory is a great tool to help myself and my team keep all of our subcontractor chnage prders organized and in one place. It's also helpful for the whole team to be able to see what change order requests are approved, in reveiw, or void. It is also user friendly and intuitive, so if you are new to using it, it is easy to get the hang of. The filters are also pretty handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clearstory?

I don't love that they changed the name, but that's not a big issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tony Fuller of Clearstory

Hi Tiffany! Thank you for your review. It's fantastic to hear that Clearstory has been instrumental in keeping your subcontractor change orders well-organized. We are also glad to hear that you find it easy to use, as well as newcomers! Thank you again.
