Clearline LIMS is a connected laboratory information management system (LIMS) for regulated testing laboratories — environmental and water, industrial hygiene, materials testing, contract testing, and quality control labs. It is delivered as a managed, cloud-hosted platform and implemented for each lab rather than sold as a one-size template. Clearline keeps the whole sample-to-report workflow in one connected record. Samples are registered with structured client, project, matrix, collection, and receiving details, along with the requested analyses. Work moves through worksheets and analysis assignments, separated result entry, verification, and publication, and ends in configurable reports and certificates of analysis. Audit trails, role-based access, chain of custody, and validation-supporting workflow controls are built into that path instead of being bolted on afterward. Lab clients can be given a controlled portal for status visibility. Implementation starts from the lab's real sample journeys, including exceptions, reruns, and corrections. Instrument connections — such as ICP-MS/ICP-OES, ion chromatography, GC-MS/LC-MS, and CSV result imports — are built from the lab's actual file formats, identifiers, and mapping rules. Hosting, backups, data export formats, support, and ownership of future changes are agreed up front so the lab is never locked out of its own records. Typical reasons labs talk to Clearline: - The current LIMS is poorly supported or depends on one person's specialized knowledge. - Spreadsheet, worksheet, chain-of-custody, or COA workflows are delaying deliverables. - Clients need clearer status visibility. - The lab needs audit trails, review steps, role-based access, and exportable records. The safest first step is often a scoped pilot, a reporting or chain-of-custody automation, or a workflow review before any full migration. Clearline is also building governed AI agents that read the connected record, surface what needs attention, and prepare review briefs, while release authority stays with laboratory staff. Agentic workloads are available in limited early access for new customers, with a broader roadmap target of Q1 2027. Pricing is scoped after a fit review, because managed hosting, implementation, and support depend on the lab's workflow and rollout needs. Clearline LIMS is built and operated by Clearline Tech Methods, founded in 2023 by Petie Clark and based in Blackshear, Georgia.
