"Fully Featured Currency Exchange software"

What do you like best about CurrencyXchanger?

This software covers the basics very well such as handling rates, invoicing, profit/loss, customer profiles and anti-money laundering compliance requirements. Supports multiple offices, user privileges, reports and data export etc. It also uploads our exchange rates to our web site in real time via an XML file which we also use to update our electronic rate boards. What do you dislike about CurrencyXchanger?

The software is based on an older version 4th Dimension Database engine. Work is underway to bring the code base to a currently supported edition of the engine. The new database engine should give us performance improvements and support for database backups using 3rd party solutions. We also find the database server hardware required to run the software needs to be renewed regularly to keep up with our growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering CurrencyXchanger:

Good software but seeing scalability issues beyond 40+ simultaneous users. Needs up to date server hardware to support transactional system with reasonable performance. I believe an asynchronous synchronization module is now available to allow each office to have its own database but we didn't look into this yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CurrencyXchanger solving and how is that benefiting you?

Handles all of our foreign currency transactions with our customers and suppliers. We do all of our invoicing in a central database for all of our offices. Good flexibility to comply with anti money-laundering legislation and our compliance department is looking forward to the completion of a custom module to transmit AML reports to the appropriate governmental agency.
