ClauseBase is a LegalTech startup based in Belgium. The company was founded in 2018 by two former lawyers. ClauseBase allows legal experts to transform drafting knowledge into intelligent clauses that can be stacked together as bespoke documents, while the software ensures consistent content and style. Those bespoke documents can then optionally also be made available to users through guided questionnaires, to ensure compliance with playbooks and external regulations. • Clause-based drafting • Clause linking for fallback options • Assign attributes to clauses to identify legal nuance at a glance • Conditional logic for added flexibility • Consistent terminology enforcement • Central styling management and enforcement • Sophisticated Q&A’s • Automatic calculations of durations, numbers, interest rates, etc. • Self-service portals for client-facing applications
