My students are crazy about ClassDojo. I use the app to reward my students for being awesome. When they are not on task or doing the right thing, they know that they will lose a Dojo if they do not correct their behavior. ClassDojo is a multimedia portfolio platform that teachers can use completely free of cost. They can track behavior data using target "do's" and "don't" that are customizable; data is available for multiple timeframes to see short-term and long-term progress.

Parent communication is easy-- parents can be added and will see when students add and lose points. "Texting" parents through the platform is a capability that allows for easy and informal communication.

I enjoy the multiple uses of this software. I can post updates to families about the class I am teaching, send private messages individually or by grouping (where parents see this group message only in their private inbox), provide points to students for their efforts, and post pictures and videos which show what students have learned/experienced in class.
