Class fills the gap with a virtual classroom that gives instructors the structure, control, and engagement tools they need to run real learning at scale. Layered on top of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, Class is purpose-built for learning while keeping instructors and learners in the familiar platforms they already rely on every day. Instructors can set up sessions faster with templates and LMS integrations. During live instruction, they can see what learners are doing, guide participation, manage breakout rooms with clarity, and keep everyone focused with interactive tools. After each session, analytics reveal what worked, who engaged, and where support is needed. Class delivers a consistent experience for every learner, whether they join a corporate training program, a higher education course, or a K-12 session. On the student and professor ends, Blackboard Collaborate has a bad user experience. **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2021 **What do you like best about Class?** I like that it was designed with the intent to make it easier to host classes online and still maintain a class discussion because of its features with the microphone, chat, and question options. **What do you dislike about Class?** I hate that it randomly crashes for absolutely no reason, and your internet connection has to be impeccable just for it to run somewhat okay. I don't particularly appreciate that when too many people are present within a session, the microphone is disabled from the attender's end. **Recommendations to others considering Class:** It is a pretty good alternative to in-person meetings; however, you need to make sure that your wifi connection is 10/10 because that is the only way this system will be any good. **What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?** When the global pandemic hit, Blackboard Collaborate proved helpful in my school because it allowed us to have an online teaching/learning platform. ### 2. Additionally connectivity problems. **What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving the ability to meet students online who need speech therapy services within a public school environment. The use of Blackboard Collaborate is a safeguard against "online meeting bombers" and is safe to use for the school district I interned under. ### 3. It gets the job done.The tablet app worked well for me. Unfortunately my "likes" about this program are minimal. I had a lot of issues with web access - see below. **What do you dislike about Class?** I have encountered numerous glitches when using Blackboard Collaborate and I found it frustrating on many occasions. Launching via web has proven inconsistent and I missed meetings and classes because of that. I have found the audio scratchy and screen shares/presentations and messaging to be basic and bare bones, and not really aesthetically pleasing either.Not fun to use. My biggest grip is the difficulty connecting though, it is not acceptable to miss scheduled conferences due to tech glitches. I am aware that the way I have utilized it and had this experience may simply be because of how the administrators on the other end created the content for the classes or meetings. Nonetheless I really have had extensive use with it, and my experience has been pretty consistent. **Recommendations to others considering Class:** I would recommend that you confirm that anyone participating in your Blackboard Collaborate sessions has technical requirements and accessibility well in advance in order to avoid problems with this. **What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?** Does not apply to me - I have not chosen this product to use on my own accord. I have participated in its use many times but never organized a meeting through it. ### 4.
