"Easy To Configure, Easy To Ship, Easy To Use - Rich Text Editor"
5/5
What do you like best about CKEditor?

CKEditor along with it's big suite of plugins helps us in creating a feature that is a vital cog of our functionality. Customer Support has been good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CKEditor?

Has been a good journey all along, couple of areas of improvement as follows:-

CKEditor is easy to integrate and configure for basic use cases, but requires considerable amount of efforts to build custom solutions leveraging their package.

The learning curve is a bit steep for the developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CK Editor provides a lot out-of-the-box and is expandable as well"
5/5
What do you like best about CKEditor?

To use CK Editor as a formatable textarea, there is not much to do. It can easy be configured and support various of formatting options out of the box.

What helped us is, that it is expandable. If there isn't a feature, which CKEditor provides out-of-the-box (or buy their paid services), you can write your own plugins. Once you understood their events and what they provide, it is highly customizable. And if you can't figure out an issue yourself, the customer support has an open ear for you everytime. Since we are a paying customer, i can't tell anything about the customer support, if you use the free version.

The documentation has many examples and showcases, so it sould be easy for you to integrate it into your app.

Since we did our own plugins, we compile as well our own CK Editor on top of the standard one. It took a bit to understand, how we should do it, but an example project helped us with the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CKEditor?

Since everything went fine up until now (using it since 2019), i do not see any drawback.

The only thing i can remember is, that I asked for a feature and they declined, because this isn't on their roadmap right now. But hey, this is totally understandable. They should concentrate their work on what most of the users request... not just me :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Integration and Responsive Support, But High Price and Paid Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CKEditor?

We used CKeditor as part of the development of an internal media workflow. The integrated features of CKeditor allowed us to enhance collaboration between users through the comments plugin, and also enabled us to integrate our own designs into the interface. We also developed custom plugins to meet our specific needs, and integrated a library to add documents linked to the HTML document. We are satisfied with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CKEditor?

The price remains quite high, and it is unfortunate that some features or plugins require an additional payment. We would have also liked to have more extensive support for integration with Vue.js and Typescript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Gökçe Tosun of CKEditor

Thank you for the detailed feedback and for choosing CKEditor for your internal workflow. We are pleased to hear that the collaboration and customization features have supported your development needs. We understand your concerns about pricing and framework support, and we are continuously working to make our offering more flexible and better aligned with different tech stacks.

"CKEditor Angular integration provides a smooth and powerful WYSIWYG editing experience."
5/5
What do you like best about CKEditor?

Classic editor and Inline editor are what I like most, and there we override built-in CKEditor classes and modify the UI according to UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CKEditor?

I am using the Angular framework, so I need to install dependencies separately, like for the Classic editor and Inline editor, both require separate installation. I think there should be a centralized approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CKEditor Platform: Feature-Rich and Flexible, but Complex to Customize"
5/5
What do you like best about CKEditor?

The CKEditor Platform offers an impressive range of features and can be tailored or purchased to suit our specific requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CKEditor?

The wide range of flexible options can make it somewhat challenging to choose the right components. While this flexibility is a positive aspect, it does add complexity to the purchasing process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Gökçe Tosun of CKEditor

Thank you for your kind words and for the great review. We are happy that you appreciate the flexibility and rich features of CKEditor. We understand that so many options can make setup decisions more complex, and our team is always ready to help you choose the best configuration for your needs.
