My organization is nation wide and therefore all systems are maintained and run from a central location. All requests, issues, etc have to be filtered through that location and when Citrix is having issues (due to the sheer scale) they are generally not resolved very quickly. Another downside for everyday use is the process of loggging in. It is a very secure system and even on the secure desktop machines in my office it often takes extra time to log in and load. Remotely, there is an additional security step (Okta Verify) that just lengthens the process.
