Being in the real estate industry many clients expect to have things completed regardless if you're at home or in the office. Citrix receiver allows me to log into remotely and complete my work to do list. All of my applications can be accessed from my remote devices. The receiver allows me to do work without clogging up my personal device or slowing down my speed. I can access my work files out of the office and in any remote are as long as I have internet access. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** That it is not a cloud based system to where you have to be connected the whole time to be able to access work files and projects while in the citrix receiver. Also, our skype account it not accessible through the citrix receiver so we are unable to connect and see certain projects remotely. The resolution seems like it could be a bit better when logging into the online portal. Sometimes if I am logged on at work and forget to log out because of rushing out of the office I experience connectivity issued trying to log in from a remote workplace. **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** I recommend having this tool for when you need to be able to work from anywhere. The cirtix receiver allows you to log into your work desktop and accomplish your work regardless of the time and place. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** No problems besides connectivity. The cirtix reciever benefits our real estate company as well as our real estate law firm with the benefits of a new age of internet and reach-ability. Working from home is great on the receiver for times that I am unable to go into the actual office and need to finish something right away. ### 2. Saving things from our programs that need to be emailed. One more best thing I have realized that till now I have not experienced any downtime while connecting with Citrix Receiver whereas in my previous VPN I have to experience downtime once in a week and need to call customer service. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** There are actually 2 things that I don't like about Citrix. One is when I connected over Skype installed on Citrix Receiver and I want to share screen with Some body that I am not able to do on Citrix and other one is that I am not able to copy text from any Software installed on Citrix receiver to our desktop. One more thing I have experience like in my previous VPN connection I need to connect with Virtual Machine always to use any of the software installed on Client System whereas in Citrix I need not to connect with Virtual machine and can just directly connect and use that software. It works, but remote access to my EMR will not allow for use of the keyboard on the tablet. I can't really do anything besides view my remote access via apple tablet. I'm not sure why any business needs to manage through this emails and interfaces for hotels. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem that solves is that apparently is the only way to access our channel manager but is redundant. Other channel managers just need a web navigator like Chrome but Citrix (in the case of this organization) still use internet explorer... So really outdated. ### 15. We have been using it in our company for a little while and I have read a lot of other businesses. It can be used on multiple platforms and is quite reliable product as well. Personally I consider it as a low latency tool or at least I haven't had any issues with using various applications so far. The thing is that it allows me to work on corporate stuff without cluttering my personal device at all and that is probably the main reason why I think that citrix is great tool. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** We have had some connection issues in the past but it is kind of hard to judge Citrix for this because it could be caused not by Citrix itself but because of connectivity issues. It is not cloud based which is bit of a issue so when the server is down you cannot work with files/apps that you have there. I have also noticed that share screen on various apps cannot be used inside Citrix but this is a bit of nitpicking. **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** If you are smaller or bigger enterprise which need to provide connection to various developer teams I think that Citrix is probably a good pick. In first place Citrix is quite reliable which is (at least in my opinion) the number one thing that you should be looking for. I do not know how hard is it to integrate into your corporation workflow but I think that time spent will be worth it. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** In our company we are using Citrix on daily basis to connect to the client servers as well as applications that are connected via our client so we do not need to care about anything, it is just as easy as connecting to Citrix and that is it. There are very few issues that I run into though. And sometimes it says Citrix is young but it’s not. Additionally, I do not have access to work when outside the network, so having this mobility at times can be extremely useful. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** Citrix is a really useful tool, however, one aspect that can create problems when experiencing an error is that its users may need to go through company IT or Service department when experiencing issues. This can at times create a delay in using the application. The software runs so fast that there have been times I forgot that I am working in a VDI machine and not on the regular desktop since its performance was really smooth. Also some inherent tools/ features of the Citrix VDI also helped me a lot in making the exprience very joyful and easy. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** The chief area where I don't like Citrix that much is its dependency on high intenet speed so as to operate smoothly. So, if you have a slow internet speed at your home, please be prepared to face challenges since the software would going to be really hang on in between and even a mere click anywhere around laptop could take 3-4 seconds to repsond, thus this software is best suited for offices where we have a smooth and high speed internet. Also, Citrix team keeps sending on updates to the VDI that are very heavy in size and the update window pops up every other day, this leads to be very cumbersome at time and and can annoy any person on work. **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** I would strongly recommend users to use very high quality and high speed internet while using citrix VDI. This is primary because Citrix needs very high internet speed to work efficiently smoothly. I would also recommend others to be up to date and always install the latest version of the Citrix since these updates have bug fixes and they always help a lot in the smooth performance of the Citrix. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well. with the help of Citrix Receiver VDI, I can work on numerous clients for which earlier we had to set up an ODC environment. Citrix is very reliable and safe that all clients agrees on using the Citrix to avoid the menace of setting up an ODC environment, it also cuts down the cost of setting up ODC for companies and for users , they have the flexibility to even work from home on the VDI. Also, I want to mention here that there is no specific problem that we can solve by Citrix, via Citrix it just becomes another laptop and we can do all day to day tasks on the VDI. ### 38. Some off the top of my head include not being able to switch payment terms once an invoice is created (but not posted), clicking on a suggested dropdown and it doesn't select it causing to have to delete the whole line and start again, bringing up the warning sign without being able to get rid of it other than deleting and starting over, not printing units (could be how the administrators arranged, though), weird quirks to have to work around sometimes and not making the answer on where to fix them instinctive. I've been on long phone calls with IT trying to figure out issues ... **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** Not very user friendly - would need someone to walk through or explain if you are a first time user.
