Cite42 is an AI visibility tool. It shows whether the AI models behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, plus Google AI Overviews, mention your brand when buyers ask about your category. Ask a question such as "best invoicing software for freelancers" and see which brands each answer names and in what order, which sources the answers cite, and whether your site is among them. Use it for generative engine optimization (GEO) and AI search monitoring. Trackers rerun up to 30 prompts every week or month, so you can follow your brand mentions over time. Cite42 also covers SEO data: keyword search volume and CPC, Google Trends, and Reddit and YouTube research. Cite42 runs inside AI agents as an MCP server (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT) and as a REST API. You pay per call from a prepaid balance, with no subscription. A rankings check costs $0.13 on three AI surfaces, failed calls are free, and new accounts get $1 of free credit.
