The diversity of dashboards available and relative ease of establishing mention streams.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

The difficulty in parceling out irrelevant mentions, lack of screening for low-quality AI generated content and news aggregators, unreliable interface between mention stream and daily reports produced from those streams.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provide real-time monitoring, which reduces the amount of times we are blindsided by mentions. It also meets the need to quantify our public relations efforts with intuitive visualization that resonates with internal decision makers.

I love being able to track multiple clients and competitors in one place, especially when I can compare multiple coverage feeds side by side. Reporting is simple and comprehensive with an impress depth of data converted to useful visualisations at the click of a button.

Setting up effective searches that filter coverage correctly can be quite complicated.

We use it to monitor our media coverage and generally it does that pretty well.  The daily emails are a really helpful way of quickly reviewing the latest coverage.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

It does sometimes miss coverage and setting up to monitor new keywords is not straightforward.  It does more that we really need and I'd prefer to get the basics right.

I wouldn't say it particularly solves problems but it does help us track and monitor media coverage

Having all of our subscribed to news in one place.

It's not a user-friendly platform. There's a learning curve to getting the most out of the platform which takes time. There are so many features that it can be a bit overwhelming. The reports can't be customized in a way to look polished and professional.

We get all of our company, competitor, industry, and investor news in one place. It allows us to build a custom news report (outside of CisionOne) for our executives.

  ### 12. Helpful for Tracking Coverage, but Misses Mentions and Skews the Numbers

It's helpful to track media mentions and watch media coverage that I would have otherwise missed.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

It doesn't seem to capture all of our media mentions. The numbers are skewed and don't reflect the work that is being done.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CisionOne is helping create graphs that we can share with our fundraising team to show the number of mentions we are receiving and the ad equivalency. That said, the numbers aren't always correct.

I like that CisionOne is simple to use and has a good user experience. Once I understood how it operates, I found it quite simple and intuitive.

I would like to see more new product development and features. Compared to some competitor tools, CisionOne is not quite as product-rich. It wasn't very straightforward. Onboarding was not very well handled.

The CisionOne platform is generally pretty user friendly. Once you've gotten comfortable with the various functionalities, the various tools are all great for creating customized reports and tracking analytics. When you do run into any issues or questions, the customer service team is always available and willing to help.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I don't always feel the reported viewership/audience numbers are very accurate. I'd love to see that piece audited and refined a bit.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to keep our reports in a more organized format (i.e. alphabetical) was a pain-point, but the customer service team was able to help get that in order and teach us how to keep it that way moving forward as we add more searches across the organization.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I really enjoy the media monitoring feature. It's very intuitive and easy to understand. I also like the customer support I've received whenever I need help.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

Two things I currently dislike:
1. Manually adding missing articles has become a nuisance. When I manually add an article the metrics don't show up. So instead of doing it myself, I reach out to customer support to have them open a ticket and add the missing articles for me. Hoping for this issue to be fixed soon!
2. Tagging articles has been very easy but I wish the tags were included in their own column when pulling a report, similar to the previous Cision versions. Seeing a tag column in the excel reports is integral to our team and stakeholders. Hoping this is something that can be added in the future.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The analytics are a huge benefit to me and my work. It's one thing to see what hits are coming in but seeing how effective the media hits are are important to our team and our media efforts.

I like that coverage can be sent to my inbox, which makes my day more efficient and saves my time without having to manually search. I also appreciate how easy the initial setup of CisionOne was.

I think the Boolean - it's confusing and difficult to get right. It takes time to get accuracy.

CisionOne keeps us on top of coverage, finds journalist details quickly, and saves me time with efficient media monitoring.

  ### 18. Disappointing and not fit for modern PR reporting

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

n/a - I only hear negative feedback from my team - dealing with Cision's limitations has been a major drain on my team's time and my time.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

We changed to CisionOne from Muck Rack last year and it was a really bad decision. The functionality is more limited, and all of the AI features that Cision claims to have were non-existent. They put blocks and limits on the numbers of searches you can do which seriously reduces capabilities when doing research for new business or monitoring client competitors. The platform is not intuitive and there is no way of filtering out meaningless mentions without manually sifting. This has been very disappointing and as soon as our contract expires we will be moving back to Muck Rack.

In addition, when pitching the media, the emails we send to journalists don't appear to come from us and look spammy.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to build media lists and report on performance. I would hesitate to say whether it is solving either of those problems appropriately.

The price of the platform is a bit expensive.

I like that CisionOne is quick at pulling coverage through and can have multiple clients in one place, which makes it easy to monitor.

It can be a little clunky to add in coverage. I'd prefer the process to be more streamlined.

CisionOne pulls all PR coverage into one place, making it easy to build reports quickly. I can manage multiple clients effortlessly, ensuring I monitor them efficiently.

  ### 22. Great Emailing Features, But Frustrating Upgrade and Poor Usability

I like the ease of emailing journalists and the PRNewswire integration.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

Pretty much everything with the latest platform upgrade. It's so frustrating, in fact, that I am actively doing discovery calls with other vendors. It's absurd that a NEW platform has fewer critical features, like autopopulating metrics for imported content, than an OLDER version of the software. 

Navigating is not intuitive, and the search for reporters/outlets is confusing and complicated. I have spent countless hours over the years tagging specific content and it's inexcusable that it would not migrate to the new platform.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zero. It's actually cost about 7 months of time having to work with the Cision team to troubleshoot shortfalls in the platform.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

The look and feel of CisionOne is much sleeker than previous versions of the Cision tool. For us, the best part about Cision is its centralized reporter and outlet database, which makes it easy to do targeted media research. No tool is perfect, and Cision's database isn't completely accurate or up-to-date, but it is a good starting point and saves time over manual Google searching.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

My team has been using Cision for 5+ years for daily media monitoring and research, during which time the platform has gone through multiple changes. Although the look of the CisionOne platform is an improvement over the other iterations, the functionality has really declined. It is very confusing to use, and our rep has not provided much guidance or troubleshooting assistance; rather she's been more focused on our contract and everything now seems to come at an additional cost. To be honest, we are considering moving away from Cision when our contract runs out because currently the tool is not saving us any time and we have to manually track media coverage because Cision misses so many clips. Really disappointing.

The new platform and interface are MUCH better than the previous Cision monitoring and tracking service. Our customer support team is great (Katie is AMAZING and so responsive).

There are a few functionalities that did not carry over from the legacy product, but by-and-large updates have been made to accommodate needed functionality. The one function I do not like is the 'impact' score for publication, as some very small blogs somehow end up with a high impact score, but it is not clear how they are beneficial with such small audiences.

CisionOne gives us the ability to not only monitor and prove value of our efforts in earned media, but we've also been able to leverage the media monitoring capabilities to support other initiatives at the company, such as trend tracking.

CisionOne easily allows me to reach journalists that matter for my clients. I particularly like how I can see the effectiveness of each pitch or release and what topics are resonating with the media.

The main downsides I have found include on the analytics, you can see who clicked through links or opened up an email but you don't see the outlet they are with -- you have to get out of analytics to go to search function in launchpad to identify.
Another downside is when you send a release out it's formatting is weird for recipient as it appears to be one big image.
The only other downside I have come across is when I'm adding personal contacts -- there is no company/outlet field -- this is a big downside.

It is helpful to see the reach/audience of specific articles  as well as the circulation of specific media outlets that I am not familiar with.

There was a bit of a learning curve to this tool, and I still feel I am not using it to its full potential.

I like that we can set up different streams to make sure we're monitoring for different topics (ex: local news)

CisionOne pulls in too many things that we do not need and sometimes missing coverage that we want to flag to leadership each week. Tags also take a long time to load, making the process a bit cumbersome.

Monitoring for coverage so I don't have to do it manually

Pros about Cision include the available features -- broadcast monitoring, contacts, reporting and sharing clips via a newsletter features. The customer service chat function has been fantastic to get quick responses when you need help.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

One issue that I have with Cision is the need for more flexibility in the newsletter feature.

Showing our department's value and the ability to highlight and share the work that we do.
