It makes reporting a breeze. Instead of hours of analysis, it’s just a few minutes adjusting some of the dashboard fields. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** With the solution being so robust, it is natural that there are a lot of things that don’t apply or are not helpful for a business of our size. Some data that would be important to large companies that are receiving thousands of mentions a day, is simply just not relevant for us - especially on a daily or weekly cadence. Net-net, I dislike that there is not more day day-to-day insight that would allow me to utilize the platform more often. **Recommendations to others considering CisionOne:** Just make sure this is worth the cost for your size of organization. If you don’t use this tool weekly, re-think how you want to attack reporting & analytics. **What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to pin real ROI to our PR/Corp. Marketing activity. This allows us to figure out what works and what doesn’t, making more effective changes to our approach on a more regular basis. You can find publications of all sizes that are looking for experts and quotes for their upcoming articles. Not only does this help branding for yourself and your company, but also leads to substantial backlink building in a white-hat way. 2. You can submit queries to HARO asking for quotes from experts. This allows for community generated content giving our writers more time to do other things. Many times the experts we quote or use in our content also end up linking to that piece from their site too. So all in all it's a great backlink building strategy. 3. In general it is also a networking tool for building strong connections with like-minded publishers and content marketers who know the value of content marketing and backlink building. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** The UI needs a major upgrade. However, there is always room for improvement. Of course, it would be great to have social listening included in the basic tool as well. But that's really not sth that would spoil all the impression about Trendkite. I'm finding up to date information for the media contacts I'm looking for. The media monitoring results I'm getting are timely and easy to add to a report. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** I haven't experienced any downside while using the product. **Recommendations to others considering CisionOne:** We find it useful and helpful. **What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we are trying to localize a national issue, CCC makes it easy to find contact information for the reporters/outlets who are covering it right now, and also to create a deeper list for follow-ups down the road. ### 28. Also, they offer analytic features that can be useful. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** Cision updated their platform in the last few years which improved the interface but severely decreased functionality. Our firm lost an essential feature when sending out mass emails, in the update you completely removes the ability to check and remove contacts from your mass email that have also received other emails from you. An essential serve of PR is to provide active media relations to clients, and the ability to remove contacts from a mass email so they don't get bombarded with outreach is the crux of building relationships via Cision. We decided as an organization to go back to the old interface and loose new analytical features in order to keep our lists fresh and not unsubscribing because they think we're spamming. I've spoken with Cision about bringing this old feature into the new interface and they currently do not have plans. If Cision would address and bring this feature to the new update I would give a stronger recommendation. We also subscribe to Meltwater and they update bad/bounced emails much more frequently than the quarterly schedule Cision is currently on. Improving updating frequency would improve my rating. **What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cision Monitoring helps us keep track of our client's media hits. We're using the old interface so there are fewer benefits than the newer system, but we use the newsletter feature to get daily updates of our media monitoring. Otherwise, we do not really use the monitoring feature as the layout/design on the old interface is not attractive and there are no instructions online anymore for ways to use the old monitoring features. ### 29. Cision has always been incredible to work with and their platform is easy to use. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** There is nothing at this time that I could say we dislike. My team has enjoyed all interactions with CISION staff and the platform on the back end. **What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Cision to send out all news releases and the visibility reports help us to see what content is resonating with journalists and media throughout Ontario. ### 31. So I can easily gather every radio station contact that has "news" included in his or her job title, or in the contact's description, etc. **What do you dislike about CisionOne?** My least favorite thing is that you can't search by DMA or radius in Canada. This tool is very handy in US searches. But when it comes to Canada, I have to stare at a map to make sure I've got all the contacts in the area, but not contacts that are too far away. I dislike that you can't upload a logo to the top of your press release distributions -- you have to have access to a website in order to turn your logo into a link. **Recommendations to others considering CisionOne:** Cision is a good media database and a good system for distributing press releases via email. It can be difficult to include a logo at the top of your press release -- you need access to a website in order to turn your logos into links. My recommendation is to talk to all media database companies in order to get the prices down. **What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used Cision for several years, strictly for creating media lists and distributing press releases by email. Before this, we used Vocus. Cision works fine. Next month, we're switching to Meltwater simply because of the cost savings. It'll be interested to see the differences. ### 42.
