And the other bad part is they use to have an app that let you join a meeting and remind you about an upcoming meeting and then they do a big update and removed that for guests and now it is very hard to join a meeting as a guest you have to find the link and then it will take you to a web browser that will open the app and the app will ask you to login or to join as guest after all that you can join. And it is the only app I use that will take a lot of time to connect to audio. It should have been so simple but they take up to 2-5 mins just to connect to audio. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It let us meet remotely, and that helps our remote team to come together in a meeting but I think there are far better tools like teams that will organize everything and have a clean and easy user experience. ### 7. Most of the error messages instruct me to disable various app integrations but I have not used any app integrations. I have tried over a dozen times to open a support ticket on the company's website but the page never loads. Similarly, the chat function never loads. And the support line has wait times that are unmanageable. The last time I tried calling I was on hold for over an hour before I gave up. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Right now, Webex is not solving any problems at all for me. ### 8. Vp’s getting cut off, using one touch call in from a mobile device only works once in a while, too many digits in passcodes, doesn’t send an email when you try to reset your password for the portal, I don’t see how anyone would want to use this product. When you have both your mobile app and the laptop app open, as many do when you work remotely or go from office to office, it misses messages and recipients have reported not even receiving messages that the sender shows as sent. Also, it has little capability to screenshare, drop files or do group text. There are no "channels", as in other messaging platforms, so "group messages" need to be stood up, and inactivity drops people off and you cannot sustain a team group chat on the platform without creating a new one, when needed. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Employee messaging is taken care of, but in a less efficient or effective way. Due to this, other people use their own platforms (Skype messaging, WhatsApp, etc.) - in order to communicate. This leads to blindspots for monitoring and the inability to message users who choose not to even deal with the platform's issues. ### 14. Webex provides nothing new or better than the others but it is at least capable of providing various communication options if you have no choice. **What do you dislike about Webex Suite?** There wasn't anything to like about Webex. It does nothing as well or better than any other software option available. It generally made most tasks challenging to do or, for some, impossible. Simply getting the software proved to be not possible for a few people in some of my groups, forcing other people to create a log-in for them to get the software. Setting up the software was far more work than was necessary. Settings were somewhat cryptic, convoluted, or just unnecessary. Accessing or creating a meeting room was also unnecessarily confusing. **Recommendations to others considering Webex Suite:** Just don't use it. Zoom is a popular software for pc or phones with far better functionality. It is also far easier to set up and use. Another is Discord which is better for long-term, regular use. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We solved no problems with Webex. It managed to only create new ones that were unnecessary. The only benefit realized was the ability to eventually having a video meeting. ### 15. On connecting headphones, most of the time either the audio does not reach the other person or it breaks continuously. So, audio quality is bad. The app is too slow and has problems connecting to the network even when the signal is good. When a poll takes place, the whole screen jumps around and I constantly have to re-adjust. As long as WebEx has been in this space, it should tell you something that Zoom was able to come in during Covid and eat their lunch. I was looking for the option to turn this alert for new participants and I couldn't find it. I tried the product because one of my partners insisted on it. **What do you dislike about Webex Suite?** After you have used Zoom, Airmeet and Google Meet, Cisco webex seems likes something your uncle would use. The audio quality was poor, screen freezes while sharing even though I was using 10Mbps speed internet. Using the same speed I never faced issues with Zoom, Airmeet and Google Meet. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cisco Webex Meeting was used to give an online demo of our products to the clients. Do not recall any security issues like Zoom had recently. Really tough to identify anything else. I believe the founder of Zoom used to work at Cisco Webex and reimagined Zoom from the ground up as a better version. You can definitely tell when you use both of them! Cisco Webex seems to freeze a lot and has problems with people connecting to audio, video, etc. It's just tough to deal with when compared to Zoom and Microsoft Teams. **Recommendations to others considering Webex Suite:** Try Zoom or Microsoft Teams as well to compare. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Remote working meetings with people who only use Cisco Webex. You have to share your name and email before joining a call on all calls. It's not just an easy click of a link like the others. When meetings start there is a direct link popping up on the corner of the screen so you quickly can enter the meetings. **What do you dislike about Webex Suite?** Very slow. I have worked with Skype, Zoom, Bluejeans and Teams and I have never experience anything close to the amount of issues in terms of speed and connectivity that webex delivers when several people join the call. For example if more than 30 people is in a call and you want to show video it can take 1-2 minutes from clicking the show video button until you actually display video. And several time the solution can crash if you show video and share screen with multiple people. **Recommendations to others considering Webex Suite:** Obviously its a better communciation tool than simply emailing internally but from personal experience I would rather use Zoom or Teams because they simply work faster and has less issues. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication, meetings (trying to make virtual meetings as physically present as possible). ### 25. The only thing that i would highlight is that is simple, maybe too simple, does not allow you to make a lot of thing, just a quick messages, but if you were not with the app open it would not even show you that some one was writing you... **What do you dislike about Webex Suite?** It´s really simple but is not useful at all. Worked in Cisco and not even us used it, doesn´t have anything special at all, I decided to delete it after some weeks using it, and started using webex teams, which worked for the same, but with a lot more features and capacity It is actually very simple but that is just it, nothing more, so limited, I remember not being able to even send or attach any document, we would just use it for a short time to ping our collegues to see us or do something or start a meeting... Part of my onboarding at the company where I work was to read all the instructions for webex meetings. After reading them, I still have many issues and can't figure out how to get things to work as needed. **What problems is Webex Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Webex to do interviews with customers. The quality was never great and audio was poor. There were always issues getting into a simple meeting. Even sending invites with the outlook integration never always worked as needed. Dialing into a audio device or setting up a conference room with Webex ALWAYS had an issue. I had to come in half an hour before and do rigorous testing prior to the call to make sure it was a good experience, and most the time it wasn't. The product caused more headaches than it solved. ### 36. When we needed to add more users to our WebEx account, it took over an hour on the phone being transferred between departments as our account rep had left the company and we are required to speak with an account representative to add additional services. It is no possible to add an additional named user through the portal. After we moved most of our employees to Zoom in 2019, we attempted to shutdown our Cisco Webex Meetings account. Even through we were not in contract, we are locked into still paying for the product until our next renewal cycle starts in 2020/09. We are paying for a product we can't use and don't want. **Recommendations to others considering Webex Suite:** Consider this decision carefully. They are operating Cisco WebEx like a legacy company from the 1990's with terrible contracts, requiring phone calls for both support and more licenses.
