I like how easy it is to use.
Making changes like extensions, phones does not take me long.
That it can connect to LDAP or Active Directory is a great advantage since it simplifies the administration of users.
The fact that it handles SIP protocol makes it ideal for communicating with third-party equipment.
Being able to manage high availability systems is a great advantage to keep the equipment always working. And together with the manufacturer's service where they have record response times, it makes it ideal for companies that cannot afford to stop.
Features included in licensing like Unity and IM & Presence Server make it a great option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the main disadvantage is the cost.
For many companies that do not require all the features that the Call Manager can offer, the cost cost may not be what they are looking for.
Having multiple servers for high availability can be expensive too.
I also think it lacks an option for small or medium business. Before, it had the BE6KS, which was for up to 150 users. I do not like that this option is no longer available. It was really economical and helped us for the remote offices of few users who could not connect to the central site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been planning, designing and troubleshooting UC/CUCM for the last 15 years. TAC is available 24/7 so if you run into problems, you can call them up anytime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CUCM sometimes does not "do" things logically but once you get used to how things work, then it's pretty good. They have a lot of bugs but a lot of them get addressed pretty quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cisco Unified Call Manager provides all the bells and whistles a company that wants to succeed will ever need, it will also grow with the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially, it is difficult to administer and not very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From technical engineer , its easy to manage, easy to Integrate with others.
Low cost for enterprise communication, calling, contract center etc.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More complex for technical troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since I've been working with Cisco Call manager i've been able to keep connected my end users with other Factories around the world, its very interesting how Cisco developed a tool easy to use and always stay tuned with the best technology. I strongly recommend Cisco Call Manager because as Admin user gives you a lot of benefits in your compañy. Easy to set up phones and templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like about Cisco Call manager is that new models or versions increasingly divide the features that you can use and this requires additional licensing that sometimes is not planned in your master plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is an interface that helps me a lot to make the necessary settings such as registering a user, a device without problems.
It is a very robust system that I like very much I have had the opportunity to use other similar solutions and I would not exchange Cisco for anything.
The CUCM can be adapted to several Cisco solutions to keep everything integrated including video conferencing rooms or meetings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although the interface helps you a lot by being very clear, sometimes to do something simple you have to indicate several settings or adjustments, this may be complicated for someone inexperienced Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The wide range of options for finding a particular device or extension. If you don’t know the basic extension number or MAC there is always still a way that you can find what it is that you are looking for. It’s a great tool for management of a large fleet of devices. When working with large amounts of data it can be quite slow. For example, if you need to run a report which details the total number of each individual device type, or pull out a list of every MAC, and associated details, for every single instance of a particular model, we have to run the reports outside of office hours as it slows the system down which affects the users’ experience. Perfect for businesses and can be set up in a lab and home environments also. Works perfectly with cisco switches and routers. can be used with desk phones and on the computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You need to be knowledgable to set up the CallManager for migration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This program allows me to manage a large population of remote agents. I must also say that integration with voicemail and directory services is well done and easy to use. Its platform is easy to use, very intuitive and users will not have problems with their understanding. Something that I liked very much is its ease of administration for the phone and firmware. This gives me a lot of accessibility and alternatives in mobile devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see additional enhanced conference call capabilities to potentially replace paid services. Also implementing emergency services through the product can be complicated, so we better stay with the traditional 911. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
