"CUCM - Great experience"

5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I like how easy it is to use.

Making changes like extensions, phones does not take me long.

That it can connect to LDAP or Active Directory is a great advantage since it simplifies the administration of users.

The fact that it handles SIP protocol makes it ideal for communicating with third-party equipment.

Being able to manage high availability systems is a great advantage to keep the equipment always working. And together with the manufacturer's service where they have record response times, it makes it ideal for companies that cannot afford to stop.

Features included in licensing like Unity and IM & Presence Server make it a great option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I think the main disadvantage is the cost.

For many companies that do not require all the features that the Call Manager can offer, the cost cost may not be what they are looking for.

Having multiple servers for high availability can be expensive too.

I also think it lacks an option for small or medium business. Before, it had the BE6KS, which was for up to 150 users. I do not like that this option is no longer available. It was really economical and helped us for the remote offices of few users who could not connect to the central site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

I recommend reviewing the issue of licensing well. Adjust it only to the needs they may have at the moment, with a percentage of expected growth in the next 3 years. If they acquire it in a lease plan, consider the service and growth they may have during that period.

Failure to review or size the licenses properly could result in excessive and unnecessary expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Communication with third parties mainly. We have managed to integrate with business partners that do not necessarily use Cisco. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Once you get used to how CUCM works, it's great."

5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I have been planning, designing and troubleshooting UC/CUCM for the last 15 years. TAC is available 24/7 so if you run into problems, you can call them up anytime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

CUCM sometimes does not "do" things logically but once you get used to how things work, then it's pretty good. They have a lot of bugs but a lot of them get addressed pretty quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Communication Manager!"

5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

Since I've been working with Cisco Call manager i've been able to keep connected my end users with other Factories around the world, its very interesting how Cisco developed a tool easy to use and always stay tuned with the best technology. I strongly recommend Cisco Call Manager because as Admin user gives you a lot of benefits in your compañy. Easy to set up phones and templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The only thing I don't like about Cisco Call manager is that new models or versions increasingly divide the features that you can use and this requires additional licensing that sometimes is not planned in your master plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

Great Cisco Solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

the problems I've been solving with Cisco Unified Communication Manager is the lack of communication with my end users when they try to contact other peers in other factories, the use of mobiles increase a lot the cost and with cisco, this problem dissapear. "Cisco Unified Communications Manager - Axel Olivares Review"

5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The interface is an interface that helps me a lot to make the necessary settings such as registering a user, a device without problems.

It is a very robust system that I like very much I have had the opportunity to use other similar solutions and I would not exchange Cisco for anything.

The CUCM can be adapted to several Cisco solutions to keep everything integrated including video conferencing rooms or meetings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

Although the interface helps you a lot by being very clear, sometimes to do something simple you have to indicate several settings or adjustments, this may be complicated for someone inexperienced Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

Read and understand very well the type of licensing that exists for the CUCM since this can greatly increase the cost of the project if it is overlooked Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problems that have been solved have been such as: just being able to use the telephone service in your workplace so we have gained the benefit of having the service remotely, being more agile with our work by having a tool that unifies services such as chat, voice and telephone as well as presence, if we have to move from a place and we are waiting for something important we can continue to connect without problems to the telephone service. "Excellent feature set, average operability"

4/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The wide range of options for finding a particular device or extension. If you don’t know the basic extension number or MAC there is always still a way that you can find what it is that you are looking for. It’s a great tool for management of a large fleet of devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

When working with large amounts of data it can be quite slow. For example, if you need to run a report which details the total number of each individual device type, or pull out a list of every MAC, and associated details, for every single instance of a particular model, we have to run the reports outside of office hours as it slows the system down which affects the users’ experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was installed as a replacement for an old analogue phone system. The CUCM system has made everything so much simpler to manage, and added a much wider feature set which also enables us to easily add new features and services as and when required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Establishing contact is very effective with this program."

3.5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

This program allows me to manage a large population of remote agents. I must also say that integration with voicemail and directory services is well done and easy to use. Its platform is easy to use, very intuitive and users will not have problems with their understanding. Something that I liked very much is its ease of administration for the phone and firmware. This gives me a lot of accessibility and alternatives in mobile devices Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I would like to see additional enhanced conference call capabilities to potentially replace paid services. Also implementing emergency services through the product can be complicated, so we better stay with the traditional 911. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

Very suitable for any company that seeks to centralize voice systems. It is highly reliable and offers the functions that most people who call by voice require. I am convinced that in the future we will have many positive things from this program. The user interface is intuitive and you will have little training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has easily expanded with our growing business, as it helps us with firm phone calls, voice conferences and internal text messages are made through this product. It is extremely reliable as a telephone switch should be. We have never experienced a time of inactivity attributable to it. We also use it to see how many calls were taken in a day, week or month. It has been very beneficial due to the simplification of support due to standardization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
