The best thing about Cisco Unified Communications Manager is the ability to encrypt all calls end to end, thus providing security at the highest level. With Cisco Unified Communication Manager we were able to have all our interns in a single telephone exchange, which allows us to have a homogeneous dial plan and the possibility of calling between different sites at no cost when using the internal network. In addition, if we travel from one place to another, it allows us to log into the phones and thus be able to make and receive calls as if we were at our desk. "CUCM - A great product that works."

4/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I like how well it works and integrates with our existing Cisco infrastructure as well as other third part products that we use. Everything just seems to work. Now that I have worked with it enough, I am comfortable making changes for when it is needed. It sync with LDAP which makes it nice for new users as well as using the Quick User feature to quickly assign a phone to an end user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

I would say if you need to make a configuration change, then it can become a challenge if you do not know enough about the system and what things will do. There are many menus within CUCM and you don't want to make a wrong change. I wish the UI was a little more friendly, it does seem a bit outdated. But, I get it, it works, so why change it. Additionaly, as everything Cisco, I do dislike the yearly suspport to pay to get any upgrades or to get a hold of Cisco technical support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

If you are in the market for a new phone system, I would consider this on premise\cloud solution, it may cost a bit more than some, but it is definitely feature full and things just work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are getting flexibility to be able to plug a phone in any ethernet port and have it just work. Having this system over an old analog system allows us to manage it better than hiring someone for our old system. We also have the benifit if we can figure something out, we can just search the Internet as this is a widely known system and there is bound to be an answer for our question. "CUCM in it's current state uses very outdate and unintuitive user interface"

1.5/5

What do you like best about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

Its flexibility and wide adoption among many industry leaders Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)?

The Cisco TAC support team often fails to take ownership of issues and it's very rare that you'll receive a competent call manager engineer to assist you with configuration. It has been my experience that their default is to push the issue on another vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager):

I could only recommend the cloud iteration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It works. Though unintuitive, it does provide the business functionality we need. That said, we are investigating cloud options that provide a better UI for our agents with fewer complexities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
